We went on an event held at Matlock…
We went on an event held at Matlock Pavillion on the 18th of April. For most of the group, this was their first experience with ghost hunts. All of the staff members present were excellent with comprehensive explanations of equipment and a great knowledge of the venue and activity present there. We would especially like to highlight Ben who was with our group most of the evening and was incredible through the different investigations and vigils we participated in. We most enjoyed the evening when we broke down into smaller groups, as we found that everything was much more active with less people present. The types of equipment available to borrow was amazing, and very exciting to get hands on experience with. Overall, it was an excellent evening and we cannot wait to book with this company again in the future.

My wife bought me this for a Christmas…
My wife bought me this for a Christmas gift and what a great gift it was. We went to 30 East Drive Pontefact and having never done anything like it before I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was an extremely good experience. Dan and Craig the organisers were great and made the night very enjoyable. We got to use their equipment and did get some very interesting experiences and contact, particularly when my wife was in a room on her own and her hair was touched. Overall if you do go ghost hunting get involved and keep an open mind and you’ll enjoy the adventure. Thanks Dan & Craig we’ll definitely book another one in the future.

Fort Widley
A fabulous Christmas present - my friend and I had a great evening at Fort Widley last night. Some interesting interactions, a crazy ouija board, lots of bell activity and even the music box didn’t disappoint. The spirits didn’t like Sonia 😂. Would definitely do it all again and loook for an overnight stay somewhere in the future! Thanks all 👻

Hi Joanne,
Thank you so much for your brilliant review! We’re so pleased to hear your Christmas present turned into such a memorable night at Fort Widley.
It sounds like you had a proper mix of activity — we especially loved the mention of the “crazy ouija board” and those mischievous spirits not taking to Sonia! 😂 She’ll get a kick out of that.
We’d absolutely love to have you join us again — and an overnight stay sounds like the perfect next step 👻
Thanks again for the kind words,

Fab night ghost hunting at Newsham Park…
Was a fab night at Newsham Park Hospital, Laura, Kai and Tanya were fab and had brilliant energy. Our group managed to capture movement on the Weegee board in the attic. I got some interesting photos of a little wisp. Lots of different techniques to use for the ghosts hut and got some interesting answers on the EMF reader at the bottom of a staircase. Our group had a fab time, first ever ghost hunt was brilliant. Highly recommend great venue too.

I've been to a few events with haunted houses now and every single time the events are great and get better each time. I go on my own and there still all welcoming and fun and can also have a laugh with them too. I've recommended and recommend them to anyone that wants to go on a ghost hunt. They make it easy to understand aswell as letting you try your own things too for your own experiences.

Thank you for your review! We’re so glad you had a great time, even if the activity was a little quiet on this occasion. That’s the unpredictable nature of the paranormal, but it’s fantastic to hear that Laura and Kai kept the energy up and gave it their all throughout the night.

We had a fantastic night at ryecroft hall. Kai was a great host, made it fun and made sure everyone was involved (how they wanted to be involved). Lots of encouragement, lots of energy right to the end. Thoroughly enjoyed the night. I am a firm believer that the host and the rest of your group really make the night - so thank you!

Communication is appalling.
Have tried emailing, phoning , whats app and not once did you answer. My wife has been hospitalised today and I needed to get in contact with you regarding our booking. I'm actually now thinking haunted house events are a scam and just take your money. We was looking so forward to this experience tonight and actually saw a few places on your website where we wanted to vist in the future but unfortunately due to the lack of communication I won't bother.

Dear, A.J
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your disappointment and would like to clarify the situation.
We understand you reached out to us on the same day as your scheduled event, which unfortunately was a day our office is advertised to be closed. Our booking terms and conditions are in place to ensure fairness and consistency for all our guests, and we strive to communicate these clearly at the time of BOOKING, also sent on Monday prior to attendance in your event entry details.
Accommodating a last-minute change in this instance would have required us to cover 100% of the associated costs, which isn’t sustainable for our business. While we do our best to assist whenever possible, certain limitations prevent us from fulfilling every request outside of the agreed terms.
We genuinely value your feedback and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If you’d like to discuss this further, we’d be happy to continue the conversation via email bookings@haunted-houses.co.uk
Kind regards,
Christopher

The night was very active at times, with cat balls, rempod and bell being activated. We used the Ouija board and communicated with one of the former workers who seemed to be very much a ladies man! Communication was also made through headphones with another worker who had a nasty experience in the furnace! 👻Thank you spirits for an entertaining night....

30 East Drive 22/23 Nov
Just finished a night at 30 east drive. Hosts Jess and Laura were brilliant. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts. They were honest, fun, but also allowed us to be serious, have our time and were always checking on us during the night. I think because of them alone I couldn’t recommend the company more! Unfortunately we didn’t get a lot of activity, a few knocks, touches and words in the spirit box through the headphones.. but not the scary intense night we had hoped!! But we will of course go again, and hope to have the girls as our hosts again!! Thank you for being so attentive and friendly 💕
