Excellent customer service. The salesman we dealt with made the purchase simple and stress free from start to finish. No pressure sales talk. Easy to talk to and always available. The car is really lovely, we are very happy with our purchase. We would definitely recommend the garage.

One of the few really good car dealerships
I recently bought a car from Car Xchange. I live in Kent so I rang and asked for a detailed description of a car I was interested in. Once satisfied that the car was what I was looking for, I asked Car Xchange if they could send the car to me to look at on the understanding that if for any reason I did not want it could refuse it. It was agreed that if I bought the car the cost of doing so would be waved but. if I sent it back I would pay £100 towards the transport costs. On arrival the car proved to be as described and I decided to buy it.
After a few days one of the LED's in the instrument cluster dimmed. Once mentioned, Car Xchange immediately agreed to arrange to have it repaired at their expense.
I am pleased to say that I will soon be looking for a replacement car for my wife and Car Xchange will be my first port of call.

never ever buy a car in the rain
Are they genuinely nice or fake? About the vehicle....vx insignia Sri BW15 PNE ...I realize it was my choice to purchase this vehicle,but then again,when it comes to cars, I'm an idiot, M.o.t failure ..one front tyre failed,other 3 tyres on advisories...haverhill had all four tyres replaced with cheapest of cheap Chinese tyres.front grill badge outer missing,inner Griffin head in by two rusty wood screws,driver's seat trim outer bottom trim broken,split leather armrest.car jack in boot is for a 1000kg KIA.the passenger side sill

I am sorry you feel disappointed with your purchase.
I would like to address a couple of points your raised in your review.
You are correct in saying the car did fail its MOT on one tyre. Not only did we replace this, we replaced all 4 as the other 3 were advised. We use a good standard tyre. You mentioned the front grill badge was missing, but the Griffin was held in by 2 screws? The front badge in the grill is the Griffin. We were unaware that this was screwed into place. This would of been replaced had we been made aware.
With regards to the wear and tear issues inside, these are as we would expect of a car that is 5 years old and covered almost 70,000 miles. You make reference to the jack in the boot, this model does not come with a jack or a spare wheel as standard, instead having a tyre inflation kit which was present in the boot.
Finally, you make reference to buying the car in the rain. Having looked through our CCTV, the day the vehicle was viewed, it was a bright clear sunny day. We always leave our customers to view vehicles hassle free, so you would of had plenty of time to examine the car thoroughly.
It is a shame you have decided to leave a 1 star review rather than contact to discuss the issues you are unhappy about. We would of been more than happy to assist in rectifying these things, especially as you are still within your Warranty period.

Recently purchased a Hyundai. Prices were great compared to national average. No hidden extras. Sales staff are genuine and helpful. Optional extended Warrantee as well - which is nice.
Clean car, relaxed - and give you space to make decisions you need to.
Very refreshing experience and would recommend to others.

First Class & Highly Recommended
I began my search for a new car some six weeks ago. Only having a relatively small budget of £3k, I knew my options would be limited in terms of car brand, mileage and condition. I visited six different dealers across East Anglia in search of my next car and came across Haverhill Car xChange almost by accident. While they didn’t have the exact vehicle I wanted at the time, they said they would look out for one for me. True to their word, ten days later, they had two cars for me to look at. I chose a Ford Focus that I am more than happy with. What’s more, the car had been serviced before them buying it, but they missed replacing the wipers, which Haverhill Car xChange changed free of charge without me even asking. Superb service and highly recommended.

Haverhill Car Exchange they tried to sell me a car that wasn’t as advertised!!
The car was a Renault Modus Grand Scenic.
The offside front door was damaged, and had a huge gash near to the door mirror, the rear offside passenger door was accident damaged poorly repaired and re-sprayed, the rear offside quarter panel was poorly repaired and
re-sprayed , there was no parcel shed. The rear view interior mirror was water damaged and difficult to see in .
They cancelled two of my viewing visits, and not forgetting,, they would not return my £200 deposit, they totally deceived me . My advice go somewhere else!!

I am sorry to hear that you feel you have had a bad experience whilst buying a car from us.
I would like to add a few facts that seem to have been missed off of your review.
The car is almost 10 years old and has age related marks as reflected in the price of just over £3000.00
Unfortunately there was a repair to a rear door which we hadn’t noticed, and a couple of car park dings that you brought to our attention. We offered to rectify both at no further cost to yourself.
You mention about a rear view mirror which has had water damage? This hasn’t has water damage, its again an age related issue where a little bit of the laminate has started to lift from the glass.
All in all, the car is in good condition for its age and has covered a very low mileage.
As for the purchase, you contacted us through a Finance company called Zuto. You decided you wanted to proceed with the purchase without viewing the vehicle. This is something we don’t normally like to do, however, due to your distance from us, we agreed. Furthermore, you requested we do additional work which included fitting 4 new Continental Tyres, a full service, and a new water pump and cam-belt. None of which were required or needed which we advised you before you requested us to carry it out.
We agreed to do the above work at a trade cost of £400.00, saving approx. £600 on the retail cost.
We carried out the work at your request. We required a £200 part payment towards the work. The £200 was not a deposit on the car.
We really wished you had viewed the car prior to agreeing to purchase, after the coil spring was replaced we invited you to view and drive the car which you refused. It would of saved you a lot of time, us an unfair review, and also us the extra £200+ in costs for the work you requested, which we are now out of pocket for.
It is a lesson we have learnt. And can I suggest that any further purchase you may make, to inspect the vehicle before agreeing to buy. Or given your expectations perhaps purchasing a new vehicle would be preferable.

I would highly recommend this place. Purchased my 3ed car from them, this time for my son. I trust these guys as their advice is always honest and reliable as are the vehicles they sell. If you are looking for a purse friendly, high quality dealership I would genuinely look no further. Professional and outstanding service as usual. Also worth a mention they bought my previous car from me for more than I was offered at we buy any car. They do also offer finance! Great job guys!
