Excellent venue. I would certainly use again.

Plenty of advance information and excellent well informed staff. We went to see Madness at Englefield House supported by Lightening Seeds and Old Time Sailors. All the performers were excellent but what made the experience great was the staff at the venue. Ample people giving, directions, first aiders, security and team of litter pickers constantly rotating the site with bin bags keeping the ground spotless; these guys were absolute heroes and amazingly cheerful, polite and hard working. The house makes a beautiful backdrop. Yes, it took 45 minutes to leave the car park but we had been forewarned that it would take 90 minutes so this was a pleasant surprise. The rest of the day went smoothly, ample facilities meant no queuing for food, toilets, bar. Food was averagely priced compared to other festivals I have been to. (It's always really expensive but that's what I now expect) Plenty of clear information and signage. Audience was politely advised by security to prevent inconsiderate behaviour so everyone got a decent view. Gently sloping arena and plenty of huge screens were also a help in making a fantastic experience.

One star is too much

One star is too much. This company is a money grabbing company who put lives at risk, how are they organising these events.
Went to Robbie Williams on the 27th Aug missed all the support acts trying to get into the car park took 5 hours. No security or parking signage so couldn’t find the car. No one checking the car parking tickets could have got in for free and not paid the £10 fee. Just took the money and didn’t care what happened to people and their safety during or after the event. Won’t ever go to one of their concerts again.
I complained but got an email back basically saying I was a liar.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Travelled to Sandringham to see Robbie Williams on 27th Aug. Stuck in traffic for 5 hrs for a journey that should have taken less than an hour. No signs, no stewards.
People getting out of their cars to go to the toilet at the edge of the road.
We gave up after sitting in traffic for 5 hours and not even on the Sandringham estate. Lost our ticket money and train fare from London.
Been to many outdoor concerts including Robbie at Knebworth. Never experienced such a shambles. Not going to let this rest- Heritage Live you take people’s money and don’t even have the courtesy to reply to messages/ emails.

Robbie was great but Heritage live a shambles!

Saw Robbie at Sandringhsm. Enjoyed the concert immensely.
Shame the last part of the evening was a bit of a pain in the backside. The concert ended at 11am and I eventually got home just before 3am! Normally a 25min drive but after the concert ended at 11pm we were still stationary in the carpark along with thousands of others at least 2 hours later! Finally after two hours at a standstill we were directed in opposite direction out of carpark, along unknown roads with no signage so spent quite some time driving around to find a way home through a maze of roads, many shut, we eventually found our way onto a stationary A149 where we sat for goodness knows how long. It was total diabolical mismanaged nightmare and the Sandringham Estate really need to look again at the suitability of holding concerts where access roads are narrow and difficult, or at least have the carpark marshalled and managed properly to ease the gridlock. I know at concerts you should expect some delays but surely if they had stewards managing the cars instead of just leaving us to it, it would have made it less of a nightmare. Added to the dissatisfaction is that because I agreed with someone’s similar negative views on Facebook I’ve been blocked from seeing Heritage Lives posts!

Heritage live seems like a money pit surprised you didn't charge for the weather

Went to Heritage live event 28 th August 2023 at sandringham park the queue to get in was lengthy and resembled a Swiss roll 1. hour wait not too bad, when passing through ticketing the person checking tickets wasn't informed about the accredited ticket sellers ways of sending ticket confirmation emails and kept asking for a bar code which See tickets don't use they use a 12 digit number which you cross reference on line at the venue and they give you your tickets so a supervisor had to step in and resolve the issue after this we got into the main arena and were shocked to see a miniscule amount of bales and tables to sit on all taken counted 30 max not good if you are 70 and cannot stand for 12 hours all the deck chairs were being used also so had to sit on the floor I understand that food and drink prices were set by the management or agents acting on their behalf as a condition of their contracts when I went to use the toilets there was nothing to wash your hands with a big red flag and the continuing background COVID threat alcohol hand gel dispensers should have been mandatory in each toilet for such a large event fyi I took photos of this wanted to flush the toilet also but couldn't as there wasn't a flush mechanism bought 2 drinks were flat charged 6.90 each fair enough as it's a concert but flat beer and no alcohol free for drivers of which there was a majority (90%) when I ventured into the food area there wasn't a substantial food item under £12 plus more for a drink I think to charge this much for food and drink especially after forking out 90 quid for a ticket 37 quid for return travel £30 for a bottle of cheap table wine not enough deck chairs for the age demographic the acts themselves were fantastic so this is in no way a reflection on them....when the Who finished at 1145 pm we made our way to the exit to be met with few signs very dim lighting strings on 30 ft poles rendering the ground almost dark so ppl were unable to orientate themselves even when they found the right car park they were wandering about in very poor light unable to see their car floodlights in each car park would greatly help this dreadful situation, we were only able to identify the coach pickup area because they had parked side on and were a bright colour exiting was thankfully reasonably short but was still quite chaotic as several of the field exits converged on one another creating a bottleneck my friend has food intolerances and bought 2 items of fruit which wasn't available inside and strongly suspected that the food that she bought was the cause of food poisoning later on in the night and the next day

Heritage Live don't deserve any stars

The Who were fabulous but that is where it ended the facilities and organisation for this event were shocking. A lot has been said about the facilities inside the arena so just add my comments for the camping.
We paid £75 to bring our campervan. It was advertised as marked out pitches, water points, bins, toilets and showers. There were no stewards checking who was arriving and parking their vans it was a free for all and we could have got away without purchasing a ticket for this. There were no marked out pitches as advertised which in itself is not a problem as the field was huge. The toilets - all 6 of them to service 200+ units were unserviced (this was the 3rd day) unhygienic and totally unusable. There were no bins just an enormous pile of rubbish accumulated from the previous 2 shows. I did not find any water points (which had been advertised as being available). The advertised showers were non existent. Feel totally ripped off for the camping fee and will never fall for this scam again

The car parking and signage were shocking! There were very few car part attendants controlling the entry point. Cars went where ever they wanted to park. Getting out was even worse no attendants to be seen and a free for all ensued to try and exit the red car park. The end of a great concert was a disgrace

There were no bins just an enormous pile of rubbish accumulated from the previous 2 shows. We found 2 x water points but with no signage so i witnessed people using the same hose ending to clean inside chemical toilets and others using the same to fill clean water holders. The advertised showers were non existent. Feel totally ripped off for the camping fee. The organisation for this event was totally overwhelmed.

Could have been so much better

Could have been so much better! Like so many others, we each paid an extra £175 for a VIP experience. VIP, what a rip off. Very limited seating resulting in the majority of VIP ticket holders either having to stand or sit on a damp floor. Some straw bales provided (presumably as an attempt to recover the situation!) but placed in front of the tented sofa section (for the lucky/unfortunate few who choose to get there mega early and wait hours for the music to start). Straw bales and people having to stand blocked the walk way to the bar with people finally standing on the hay bales obscuring the lucky VIPer’s who had the few sofa seats. Definitely won’t be going to another heritage live event.

The gig itself was great Squeeze brilliant on the Friday and on sun Robbie was great , but there was no reason why chairs could not have been brought In , of course at the back, deck chairs to hire ran out, so as it rained no where to sit for hours, food brought there was great, pricey but edible, I would book Sandringham again but alot of people are now put off by the chair problem

Paid approx £80 to park in a muddy field with 100+campervans. About 8 toilets with NO running water and not emptied. They were absolutely disgusting and overflowing. There was nowhere to wash hands. No showers, no bins (both promised) Rubbish was piled high beside the toilets. Inside venue just as bad.Not allowed to leave at all which is ridiculous as it was an 8 hr event. No seating inside & not allowed to bring your own. So many uncomfortable people. Toilets were grim and there was no hand washing facilities. We've gone from Covid hand sprays everywhere to lack of basic hand washing facilities now. Food was overpriced "fast" food. Drinks were expensive. It all felt like a rip off. Won't attend another Heritage Live event. The Who, The Lightning Seeds and Richard Ashcroft were great - just marred by the completely dreadful organisation.

Heritage live concert safety concerns

I purchased three tickets for Robbie at Sandringham for sunday 27th sept + vip tickets and parking. Booked hotel for the night which was 7 miles away. We left the hotel at 5 pm eventually got to the concert at 8.55 pm.
4 hours stuck in traffic because of non existence organisation from heritage live. It should have taken 12 minutes. I am fuming. Didn’t see any support acts didnt have time to use the vip area that i paid good money for. Just about got there in time for Robbie..The parking was diabolical and dangerous No lighting. It was a free for all on the way out. Extremely dangerous. Cars everywhere. Driving across pathways for pedestrians etc There was no lighting and no one available for help. A fight broke out because of the chaos - no police or Marshall anywhere in sight to help. I will be looking for compensation. I felt it was a money grabbing event put together the cheapest way possible. With peoples safety in danger. Will certainly not be attending another heritage live concert again.

Sandringham, RW concert, Sunday…

Great idea to host a huge artist such as RW…with a 20,000 crowd each night arriving from all around the UK but organising and accommodating this number at the Royal Estate was clearly beyond the capabilities of Heritage Live.
As others have commented, atrocious, inadequate car parking management (on exit), mis-signposting of the car park areas from the signs on the fences inside, appalling toilet facilities, etc. A real let- down of the incredible opportunity the Estate has given this company...for several coming years too, apparently!?

Heavy rain on arrival but my two umbrellas had to be left at the gate- never to be seen again- as they were full-size ones (I'm aware they sent a detailed email to ticket holders but sometimes the nature of the rainstorms means a small one won't do the job. I was not going to trudge back to my car in the weather conditions). Nice customer relations, there.

As for car parking- they need properly trained people directing traffic out of the park (£10 per car should have covered hiring the right staff I would think)

I spend a lot on concert tickets each year and have done for many years now. Worst handling of a crowd at any venue I can think of. Well done, Heritage Live.

1* is way too many

1* is way too many.. went for both nights to see Robbie at Sandringham. He really really saved the weekend.. because the organisation of the event, including the damn right rude security manager Jay (he said his name was) were shocking. A member of staff let the accessible queue through too early and Jay took it upon himself to scream at us all as if we had let ourselves in. He also treats his own staff like crap. Heritage live need to do better. Toilets not cleaned for 4 DAYS!! The disabled toilet in the accessible carpark was fully backed up and people were desperate to use it for various conditions meaning they could not wait. But it was packlocked shut as it hadn’t been emptied. The poor lady steward on the gate (who was lovely!) had called 12 times for a cleaner and ignored every time.

If there was a sudden emergency, we’d have all been dead. It took hours to funnel everyone out of the smallest exit.. no one know where they were going and the staff really couldn’t have cared less. Also took us almost 3 hours to get out and home (a 25 min journey) as all the roads around Sandringham were closed.

Robbie Williams really really saved that weekend.

Heritage live at Sandringham … great music but not a great experience for the public

We went to The Who on bh Monday and they were fantastic as were Lightening Seeds and Richard Ashcroft BUT the event experience really wasn’t upto it. Entry took 2 hours (acceptable in a way but could have been better) though part of the drive in to the red car park through a wooded area was not particularly safe and on a wet day prob dangerous. The toilets were disgusting (prob 4th day without any attention), the bar prices were horrific (though service good) but the major gripe was that there was absolutely no guidance on how to get out of the venue, no signage and no high viz helpers (or police) … on the eventual way out we came across lost pedestrians trying in vain to find a way out through the trees with no lights or guidance . Absolute chaos. Dangerous and not safe … if they put on another concert then they need to address the traffic flow in and out otherwise we know quite a few people who just won’t go through the stress and expense. They should conduct an in-depth survey and review

One star is too much

One star is too much. Robbie Williams was brilliant but the organisation was appalling. VIP an utter rip off, nowhere near the stage, the security we’re letting anyone in , especially their friends. No food and a few seats and hay bales. Utter rip off. The staff were rude, bordering on abusive as we tried to leave the venue. Organisation was shambolic. I’d never go to one of their events again.

Scary site management at heritage live sandringham

The Who were fantastic..... The Heritage Live Sandringham event management on the other hand.... scary.
We first noticed that there were no stewards near to the sandringham event site to guide vehicles. Neither were there any signs to indicate the events or car parking.

Once inside after the 2 hour queue in the car, there was a free for all in terms of parking and people walking through a stream of cars. The situation was really dangerous with absolutely no crowd control. I have been to many many events, never have I seen the pedestrian traffic being moved across the main car access point. There was no marked pathways and it just felt badly managed. Not to mention there were no toilets at all in the car park, which wasnt great after such a long queue.

Once inside the arena, there were about 10 hay bales and of course all taken for the entire event. My mum is 71 and dad 73, both had to sit on rug or stand. There wasnt a deck chair in sight. Not sure why these were so rationed.

The arena had only one entrance, again really odd for a music event. Usually there are several especially to channel thousands of people into and out of the event. Along with this, there were hardly any toilets or water points and the food vendors ran out during the show.

We had hoped to stay to the end of the gig, but with walking a little slowly and having an entire crowd trying to get out behind us, was making me on edge. When leaving we were then kettled using fencing for no reason at all, none of it made sense. It was all so dangerous.

We left 30 minutes before the end, missing a huge amount of the music to get back to the car and out. There was no lighting, no walkways and no signage how to leave the event. I watched several people nearly be run over in the dark, everyone was bewildered and trying to make sense of their surroundings.

Thankfully I spotted a car leaving the venue and followed them, if I hadn't, I would have had no idea how to get out. I will never, ever go to a Heritage live event, at £80 a ticket, the organisers should be horribly ashamed of themselves for this manic experience. You could have had some really catastrophic consequences had the crowd not been so calm.
