Thank you Paul and its what we try to achieve with every course, we engage, you learn. Far too many tutors out there who read their delivery word for word or its death by powerpoint. The presentation is important to assist but 250 slides a day does not work.

Dave was a very friendly and engaging tutor who put as all at ease from the outset of the online SSSTS course and maintained this over the 2 days.
He was very knowledgeable and went through everything in great detail with revision sessions throughout the course which I found very informative and helpful when preparing for the final exam.

Thank you so much for taking time out to give us a 5 star review of our course and more importantly on the delivery from Dave. It is our main aim to make your training engaging and simple to understand which allows you to be able to take this information back to your workplace to keep everyone safe. Nobody should attend work with their sandwich box and leave site in a big brown box, its all our responsibilities to keep our workplaces safe.

The trainer Tim Prescott was fantastic! The engagement was kept throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed the course and retained it all, due to Tim’s experienced instructional techniques.

Tim is an exceptional experienced tutor who delivers his courses in such a way it really helps you to assimilate the plethora of information needed. Well done.
SMSTS training
The training location and environment were ideal and comfortable. Tim the trainer was very open and clear when imparting his knowledge, the discussions, interpretations and questioning where encouraged and all inclusive. The course content was relevant and interesting, tea, coffee and water provided, but no lunch, so either take your own packed lunch or be prepared to pay around £12 for a decent lunch and a drink.

We have looked at offering lunch but the cost of a specific course menu and its preparation generally comes to a higher amount than the £12.00 you mention and also not everyone likes what is on offer, this would need be added to the overall course cost making it more expensive for you.

very passionate and knowledgeable trainer (Fraser from ETS). Good venue - I had 2hrs traveling each way but that doesn't take anything away from the quality of the training itself.

Thank you for your 5 Star review for our Edinburgh course. You are spot on Fraser is a top tutor who keeps things real and practical as opposed to baffling you with legislation chapter and verse as some tutors do "hey look at my knowledge I can tell you what page and chapter this information is on" not needed when we have manual indexes and contents pages. We don't need to know everything we just need to know where to find it.

Dave is and always has been a quality tutor who delivers quality either face to face or online, well done on gaining your SMSTS qualification with a quality pass mark.
SMSTS Course, John Buddle Work Village, Newcastle
Without stating the obvious, the fact that I gained a 100% pass will always ensure a 5* review. The course was delivered with a degree of humour and that helps keep the attention in the right place. The daily revision before the day started ensured the required knowledge was ingrained (in me at any rate!).
I realise there are varying degrees of knowledge contained within a room full of individuals but if I can be critical, breaks could be shortened to reduce the overall length of the course to 4 days rather than 5. This would suit the majority of managers whose projects don't stand still when on these training courses.
I'm not sure how the new Building Safety Act is going to affect the SMSTS course but proof of competency, I would suggest will be tougher in future.

Thank you so much for your review William and we completely understand your comments on the course length, the CITB stipulate in their scheme rules that the course is 5 days in length. We understand your frustration with this but it has been known for other providers to cut corners in finishing early and not furnishing their delegates with all the syllabus thus leaving them exposed when returning to the workplace. The breaks are intentional and relieve the pressure of being sat in a classroom when in your daily job you tend to be on the go all day, sat in a warm room can make the eyelids quite heavy so a break with fresh air assists the learning experience.
