Multiple issues

Problems included but not limited to
1. No host on arrival
2. No information on the property to address no host re how to use equipment such as to recharge air con etc etc. In order to get help resorted to WhatsApp owner
3. Oven only worked if a chair pushed against door
4. Balcony door not lockable therefore unsafe for young children and no security for property
5. Toilet seats stuck to toilet rather than properly fixed
6. Insufficient fans and when supplied one faulty and unsafe
7. Insufficient equipment on kitchen for numbers
8. Insufficient bedding and towels provided on arrival and not provided for several days
9.pool inadequately cleaned
10. Complex noisey with youngsters shouting from 0200 to 0530

Overall potentially suitable for parties but not for families which is sad as could be a great villa

Shockingly bad company

Shockingly bad company. Spent hours researching Sydney apartments. Booked one and pre authorisation credit card payment taken. 24 hours later told it was not available. Reserved another and 36 hours later same response. Total waste of time. Avoid!

VILLA GOLD 7 - TURKEY HOME 225680

I have just returned from the worst holiday ever! The villa was very dirty and there is a massive construction site next door with lots of workmen and lorries on site.

My family and I got extremely ill due to the heavy dust from the construction site and received hospital treatment for chest infections. The owners are extremely unhelpful and as long as they have your money, do not care! They were aggressive and intimidating. There were ants everywhere in the kitchen cupboards, the stains on the bedding and beds were horrendous. It was very dated and unmodern villa. Washing machine didnt work, water cooler didnt work and swimming pool was dirty.

I would highly recommend you do not stay at this villa, it was so dirty and the whole stay was so upsetting and disappointing.

There are lots of lovely villas in this area, I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere!

Please look at the review I have left on the internet and you will see photographic evidence which I believe anyone would be shocked by!

Avoid this company at all costs unless…

Avoid this company at all costs unless you are prepared to have your holiday plans left in tatters. Had a booking fully paid and "confirmed" so booked and paid for flights car hire trips etc then nearer the date the owner changed his mind and decided to "take the property off the rental market". Hmmmm. As if the owner wouldn't be tied into a contract with financial penalties if this situation arose. So at this late stage we are struggling to find somewhere suitable to stay, this near impossible fact is made worse by the fact that Holiday Lettings are lying to us about the return of our money. Having to go to the bank to get our money back.
Their social media pages havent posted for a couple of years so that tells you something too.

Custome Disservice

I went online and put my dates in. A price came up and I booked the property and left a deposit with Holiday Lettings. Then I get email back saying the price I was quoted online was incorrect and the price is almost twice as much. When I cancel, I'm then told that I have to follow up with Trip Advisor for my refund. A colossal waste of time and shockingly bad system that allows such fundamental errors (if it was an error and not a play to rip off custoners) to occur and then places burden on customer to get $ back. Holiday Lettings - Customer Disservice.

York House in Bognor

This was the most amazing experience. A beautiful house in a very good location and the hosts live next door. Very handy. The ambience and quality of furnishings is outstanding. Very homely. We will certainly want to go again. Great local restaurants too and shopping in Chichester. A lovely way to spend a few days away.

Left homeless

We were booked into a apartment for Xmas and New year, when we arrived there was no key in the key lock, I called holiday lettings to be told there had been a flood in our apartment, it was 8.30 in the evening, they had nothing sorted for us .got in touch with the owner who found us somewhere to stay for the night, the next day I called holiday lettings, they told me on numerous accessions they would call me back, They never did ! After two days they agreed to refund me, after 100s of phone calls, But my refund would not go into my account for a week.
I was lucky and had spare money to go book a apartment for myself my husband and.grandson. I know a lot of people would not of been able to find the money to do this. So they would of been left on the street in a foreign country,
Do not book with holiday lettings!!!

AVOID, no COVID policy!

AVOID, no COVID policy! My son lost £700 on his accommodation yesterday because The Netherlands are on lockdown and have a 10 day quarantine. He didn’t want a refund, he just wanted to swap to a new date but was told he would need to pay again. Holiday Lettings protect the homeowner and not the customer in this situation. It was the homeowners country covid rules preventing him from travelling so they shouldn’t receive the whole payment. Holiday Lettings we’re holding the payment and Customer Services could have mediated better by paying both parties 50% but didn’t. Better to book with a more reputable company with a COVID policy and give Holiday Lettings a wide berth.

If you are considering renting your…

If you are considering renting your property on this website how would you feel if you advertise your property at £50 per night and then find that the company then advertises your property at just 50€ per night on the European webpages? How they justify offering an unauthorised discount and then ignoring your query regarding this beggars belief. Without a satisfactory response from them I will be terminating my contract with them.

Avoid, avoid avoid!

This company has zero customer service or care for it's customers... avoid at all costs. I am still waiting for a partial refund that was due to me months ago and also lost over £2000 because promises that were made on their website were not adhered to. When I tried to make a formal complaint I was told by their customer service team (after many many attempts to reach them) that I wasn't allowed to do so and that they could not escalate my issue. Each time I chase my refund up I am told they cannot find my enquiry and asked to resubmit it... this has happened approx 6 times now and still no refund!!!! Been going on since May and we are now in OCT!!!

Was unsure about the site and booking…

Was unsure about the site and booking as never heard of it.
Decides to go for it and book 4 days away after contacting the property owner for a quote.
The money back promise gave me reassurance and i found out it is a sister site of tripadvisor

Excellent service from Owner and Holiday Lettings

We were booked to rent an apartment in Spain for 56 days from 6th Jan 2021. Before paying the balance we decided against going due to COVID-19. We contacted the owner who could not have been more helpful and agreed he would refund the deposit paid. I then contacted Holiday Lettings and the agent I spoke with was equally helpful and agreed to refund the booking fee. Within 3 days my Barclaycard has been credited with the full amount paid. I will definitely be using this company when this pandemic is over.

Time Wasters

You book and then the owner has 24 hours to accept your booking. The owner declined after 23 hours and 40 mins. He said the property wasn't available. So why was it advertised on the site for those dates? And why couldn't he decline the booking straight away? As we are mid-covid and my trip was one week away, that 24 hours was crucial to finding somewhere else.

We have had to cancel our trip due to… Covid-19

We have had to cancel our trip due to travel advice / current situation. Holiday Lettings have kept their advice online up to date and clear. I called today to finally cancel and it could not have been easier. Agent was friendly and helpful and I had notification of my refund from PayPal within 24 hours. Can't wait to re-book and will definitely be using these guys again.

I booked a holiday to Spain for the 2nd…

I booked a holiday to Spain for the 2nd of June for 10 days and paid for a rental in Cabo Roig for 824 euros. As soon as the flights were cancelled I informed Holiday Lettings and the money was back in my account within 10 days. First of all I contacted the owner, apologising for the cancellation. Maybe if you speak to the owner and get them on your side, this might be the way to go

Holiday Lettings virus profiteering?

I booked a holiday through this company for four people, two in their seventies and two in their sixties for April, but had to cancel due to the governments advise not to travel unless absolutely necessary, and paid in full £541.59. They refunded £236.50 as it was their policy which could not be changed. The cottage owner was in full agreement to a refund in full, but to no avail. Sad when there is so much goodwill around at the moment, that some companies have such a disagreeable attitude.
Have anyone else had cancellation issues with them?

It should be minus 1 star!
Do not use them! They are more interested in their commission than helping frustrated holiday makers. Even given photographic evidence they take the side of the owner and carry on renting out dubious properties to unsuspecting holiday makers who do not have a chance in getting some money back when things turn sour!
