AVOID, AVOID as Holidaysafe use Collinson – read their reviews! – as their loss adjustor, aka 'claims dodger'. Collinson are based in South Africa and dealing with their claims advisors is akin to dealing with robots who've been primed to be as unhelpful as possible – clearly and cynically to frustrate and irritate clients to the point they walk away from the claim. I was asked – in two calls during both of which the line cut out – to provide documents I'd already provided; when I pointd this out I was told they were not the correct format. When i asked what the correct format was, she was unable to specify. I therefore asked her to send me an email listing what was required. She told me she was 'unable to send emails'. Unbelievable. I suspect many people who've left a review on here have never had to claim. My claim should have been straightforward and was for the relatively small amount of £300 for travel delay (following a train crash in the south of France) that suspended the railway line for over 24 hours. Instead it has turned into an unbelievable palaver. i will be contacting Which who recommend this outfit and are damaging their own reputation by doing so.

Seems like a good service and have used several times but fortunately have not had to make a claim so cannot comment on how easy that would be. However I think the medical declaration section could be a little clearer and Ideally if you are a returning customer with no changes to the previous declaration you should be able to click a box which says that and not re enter all the info again. Also sometimes when entering info the system seems to go back to the start of the same question, software bug ?

Quite a detailed application when registering medical conditions but I feel well insured at a reasonable price especially having made a claim last year which was settled without any problems.

Good range of policies offered at competitive prices. Pre-existing medical conditions easy to access. Disappointed that River Cruise holidays need the extra 'Cruise' supplement when clearly they are less of a risk compared to Ocean going cruises.
