Amazing stay… constant info before we arrived which is much appreciated!
Although we knew our surroundings very well… it is always good to be reminded of things to do/see etc.
the apartment is very stocked with all you need! Although we didn’t cook there is everything you need to do so! Will stay here again.. loved it!

Only ten minutes into town, great to have a dedicated parking spot at the property and such a spacious apartment with every thing you could need. Nice and quiet in the evening and the beds were so comfortable, will definately use again.

Perfect location in terms of access to the town, station, shops. House was very clean, beds were comfortable and showers were great.
House was not really equipped for four guests, crockery sets not complete.
For other guests, it would be good to share info about stairs, as it was tricky getting a heavy suitcase up and down these safely.
Overall, good value as a base in a tourist town and we had a lovely stay.

Good commumication from Charlie. Easy to find.
Bedroom was adequate for 2 people. Although a table and lamp on both sides of bed would have been useful.
Bathroom cramped. Shower cubicle very cramped. Noisy road. But I knew that.
No hairdryer.
Clean with tea n coffee facilities.

1st time we have used Host & Stay and it won’t be the last that’s for sure. We received all the info up front, the apartment was fantastic, we can’t wait to book our next get away. Well done keep up the good work 👌🏼

The “Old Workhouse” is actually called Wagonway House which was a bit confusing. A lovely property in an excellent location. However, a few things that need addressing - it is listed as having 2 showers (there is only one which was an issue with 6 adults as it was in the ensuite bathroom which bizarrely is not mentioned as being ensuite).The dishwasher stank, had obviously not been used for a while and did not work. Dishes were washed by hand but there were no tea towels to dry them and the sink has no drainage board. The boiler ceased to function on the first morning leaving no hot water for a wash. A technician was sent and fixed the boiler but could not fix the dishwasher. One of the doorbells didn’t work. The tv remote worked intermittently and probably needs new batteries. The outside bins were full and overflowing and no instructions how to deal with glass. Despite this list we had a super time!

The place was really clean and in a lovely area there was nothing to fault about my stay would definitely recommend this

Property is gorgeous very clean and comfortable, decor is lovely and building is very quiet

I would say requesting an early check in and later departure by another hour would be helpful otherwise we had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again

A lovely weekend away in staithes at dotties coastal retreat.
Situated in the heart of saithes, comfortable, charming and very clean accommodation. 10/10.

Booked Wood Street Cottage, Barnard Castle after cancelling another Host and Stay which had issues around the Booking.com listing. Really glad I did! What a great place. Fantastic sized rooms, well kitted out, nice to have a wee courtyard and great for dogs. It wasn’t pristine, which I see as a plus because I would have struggled to relax with two dogs had it been too perfect. So, as it was, for me and my pal and my pooches, it was perfect. Barnard Castle is lovely and this was perfectly located for everything and quiet. Will definitely be back. Communication with the hosts was friendly and informative. There were a couple of tiny issues that I reported so they could fix and they were really appreciative. I took out the damage waiver for peace of mind. It was £29 for the three night stay.

We stayed here mid April and the caravan has a very homely feeling about it, absolutely loved the vibrant colours and the quirky details (the clock, the naughts and crosses on the wall and the lego picture in the shower room!) Hosts checked in with us on our first day to make sure we arrived OK, which was lovely of them) very relaxing place to be, thank you xx

The property has been done immaculately, it brings such a homely feel. We’re very satisfied with our stay. They had honestly thought of everything. I would highly recommend staying here and will look to revisit in the future. We had an incredible time.

Our stay at Pepperpot cottage was amazing. This cottage is so beautiful and luxurious. We are very private people who enjoy peace and quiet and that ticked every box.

So amazingly presented and cozy. You can tell the owners have put a lot of love and thought into it. Lots to see and do around Alnwick or just to chill and enjoy the peace.

The apartment was clean and tidy. Great location close to Whitby centre. It had a few issues with broken TV and windows that were stuck but a nice place to experience Whitby.

We had a lovely stay at the annex cottage. Louise and Andy were fantastic hosts—both friendly and very accommodating throughout our visit.
The cottage itself had everything we could have needed and more. There were so many thoughtful little touches, like the marshmallows, which my wee girl absolutely loved, along with lovely toiletries and a really clean, comfortable space.
The setting was beautiful, with stunning scenery and farm animals to meet—another highlight for my wee girl! It really was a fabulous trip away from start to finish.
