We had a very disappointing experience with HotelsNest.
We booked a studio through HotelsNest because the listing created a much better impression than what we actually found on arrival. In our view, the accommodation did not match the presentation in the listing closely enough, so we refused check-in immediately and booked another place at our own expense.
We contacted HotelsNest and asked for a refund, but this was denied. HotelsNest later replied that they had investigated the case, but from our perspective this did not lead to a customer-friendly resolution. They simply relied on the property’s version of events and still sided with the property.
HotelsNest may call this an investigation, but from our side it resulted in nothing more than the company accepting the property’s explanation and leaving us with the cost.
Yes, their support replied. But replying is not the same as taking responsibility or offering a fair, customer-friendly solution when something goes wrong.
Based on our experience, HotelsNest seemed far more focused on protecting the listing than helping the traveler.
As a final note: I find it highly suspicious that a platform with such poor conflict resolution—and a website that hasn't even updated its footer copyright year since 2023—has almost exclusively 5-star reviews here. Based on how our case was handled, those perfect ratings do not reflect our reality at all.

We take allegations regarding fraudulent listings extremely seriously and would like to clarify our position based on the investigation we carried out.
First of all, we have been cooperating with this property for many years and throughout this period we have received virtually no complaints of this nature. This is also reflected by the property's strong public reputation and consistently positive reviews across Google and other major travel platforms. Additionally, to our knowledge, the property continues to remain listed publicly, therefore the statement that it has been removed is not accurate.
Whenever we receive concerns of this severity, we immediately open an internal investigation. As part of our standard procedure, we perform additional verification checks, including direct contact with the property and visual confirmation where possible. In this specific case, we conducted a video verification and confirmed that the room type you booked was presented accurately and corresponds to the accommodation displayed on our website.
As part of the same investigation, we also requested and reviewed the property owner's statement. While it is correct that the owner was not physically present during your arrival, this is not uncommon for this type of accommodation model. According to the information provided to us, the cleaning staff informed the owner that check-in proceeded without complaints being communicated at that time. The owner also stated that had any issue been raised immediately, they would have been willing to explore alternatives, including changing the room or offering an upgrade where possible.
From our side, HotelsNest responded promptly to your complaint and remained available to support and assist throughout the process. We understand that your experience did not meet your expectations, however based on the findings available to us we were unable to conclude that the accommodation provided materially differed from what was booked or that the contracted service was not delivered. For this reason, we were not able to approve a refund.
We fully respect your right to disagree with our decision and to pursue further review through your payment provider if you wish.
At the same time, we kindly ask you to reconsider your 1-star review regarding HotelsNest itself, as we feel it does not reflect the level of human support and responsiveness provided by our team during the handling of your case. While outcomes may not always align with expectations, we always aim to investigate fairly and support our customers throughout the process.

They got us the best deal in Varkiza by a quite a margin. Got the invoice promptly. Could have done with a confirmation email though. I checked the booking was made by emailing the hotel on their site as, of course, dates went included on the invoice. All in all though I’d use Hotlenest again if the price was right.

I have found hotelsnest.com incidentally and had a few bookings on this website. It was clear and easy to make reservations conveniently. All booking were REAL. I have had very wonderful stays without any problems. I would be happy to book through HotelsNest again.

Glad I found Hotelsnest!
I must confess that I had never previously heard of Hotelsnest until I found them via Google Hotels when looking for a specific hotel. They had a price for a hotel that I was interested in that was lower than Booking dot com, Expedia and even the hotel's own web site. I'm glad that they even offer refundable rates.
Unlike Super, Stayforlong, and Zenhotels, I found through my own research, and Artificial Intelligence, that Hotelsnest is more reliable than the three discounters that I mentioned.
I'm glad I found them and it was meaningful savings. While they specialize in hotels in Greece, they also offer hotels from around the globe.

Κακιστη εμπειρία
Έκανα προσπάθεια να κλείσω δωμάτιο στο Λιτόχωρο Πιερίας με το hotelsnest που βρήκα από το google maps, επειδή είχε σημαντικά χαμηλότερη τιμή από τους άλλους παρόχους.
Το δωμάτιο όμως δεν ήταν διαθέσιμο, και ενώ έλαβα στιγμιαίο μήνυμα ότι η κάρτα μου δεν χρεώθηκε, τελικά δεσμεύτηκε το ποσό των 60 ευρώ για μια διανυκτέρευση που δεν έκανα.
Προσπάθησα να επικοινωνήσω επανειλημμένα με την hotelsnest τόσο στο ελληνικό τηλέφωνο που φαίνεται στον ιστότοπο τους ( 3 φορές με πάνω από 30’ αναμονή χωρίς αποτέλεσμα), όσο και mail και στα ελληνικά και στα αγγλικά. Ως τώρα καμμία απάντηση δεν έχω λάβει. Απορώ με τις θετικές αξιολογήσεις για εύκολη επικοινωνία κλπ.
Βλέπω ότι απαντούν σε άλλες κριτικές. Περιμένω απάντηση και στη δική μου.

I had a wonderful stay at Guest House Alex II. The host was very responsive on WhatsApp, and having an elevator was a huge plus for my heavy bags. I also appreciated the microwave and disposable cutlery, which made it very convenient to have quick meals. Thanks to their hospitality, I'm leaving with great memories. I would highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

I booked the SoHo Athinas 60 hotel room in Athens through HotelsNest recently. Was initially apprehensive initially as I have not booked through HotelsNest before. The experience was however beyond my expectation. The communication from HotelsNest was good, with clear information provided well ahead of time, and questions were answered promptly. The rate quoted by HotelsNest was also the most competitive. Very happy with the service and with using this booking engine.

Excellent cosy room
I recently stayed at Phalerus Suites through HotelsNest and had a genuinely great experience. The room was clean, modern, and exactly as described, comfortable bed, thoughtful details, and a very convenient location.
