Definitely recommend!

Really impressed with this company. They’ve made sorting and splitting bills so simple, which has saved me a lot of stress as a student. Big shoutout to Patrick in customer support — he’s always been quick to reply and super helpful whenever I’ve had a question. Makes the whole process feel easy and reliable.

They called me when I asked to find out more about the bills package, but we decided against it. Months later I found out they were claiming I set up a ‘verbal contract’ in this phone call, and tried to get me to pay £120 cancellation fee. They even tried switching my contract with the supplier we went for, which I had to stop! I had to ask for transcripts of the phone call (which they only send me part of) and get legal advice for them to finally waive the fees, after weeks of emailing. Complete entrapment of students! Do not use at all!!!

Hi Lois,

We’re sorry to hear you’ve come away feeling this way, but we’d like to clarify what happened.
On 15th April 2025, a full verbal agreement was given over the phone, confirming a sign up and that you agreed to the full terms and conditions of the package.
A detailed confirmation email was then sent on 9th June, followed by four further emails from our team in September.

When you later raised a dispute about the cancellation fee, we carried out a full review of both the original call and the follow-up communication. While the call clearly included an agreement to the terms, we did identify a point where you had asked for additional details that were not sent. In light of this, and as a gesture of goodwill, we waived the cancellation fees in full.

We understand how important transparency is, especially for students, and we take these matters very seriously. Our goal is always to make sure customers feel fully informed and supported. In this case, while we stand by that an agreement was made, we believe the decision to waive the fees was the right one.

I spoke with Shay about my student…

I spoke with Shay about my student house bills and he was so helpful, rang me as soon as I looked at a quote online to answer any follow up questions and help me with details. He was also really speedy with reply’s on email or text when I had questions and worries. Would definitely recommend to other especially students as it makes doing bills so much easier!

Shay’s Customer Service

I needed help sorting out bills for my flat on very short notice, and Shay absolutely delivered. His turnaround time was unbelievably fast—he responded to every issue with clarity and speed, even when I threw things at him last minute. Nothing was too much trouble, and he handled everything with calm professionalism and a genuine desire to make things easier.

What really stood out was how accessible he made the whole process. Whether it was email, text, or calls, Shay was reachable in multiple ways, which made communication effortless for everyone involved. He explained things in simple terms, flagged potential issues before they became problems, and helped me feel completely confident in the decisions I was making.

If you’re looking for someone who’s not only efficient and knowledgeable but also incredibly easy to work with, Shay is the one. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat.

An amazing experience

An amazing experience with Housr, as a student who hadn’t had to deal with setting up bills before, Minesh from Housr was super helpful and found us the best deal possible. Great communication and company

Great customer service

Signing up to Housr was very simple and can be done over the phone. I was assisted by Shay and he was fantastic! I felt very comfortable talking to him and he was very knowledgeable and a great help! Housr has great customer service and the price is reasonable.

Amazing customer service!

Angus was SUPER lovely, clear and helpful! We’ve just set up a package for September and he was amazing over the phone. Obviously haven’t experienced much of the company as of yet but as aforementioned, the customer service was 10/10.

Avoid at all costs

More expensive than if you sort your bills individually, you’d think it more convenient this way but they also took money for wifi we weren’t receiving and then took around a month to process the refund.
Finally the pizza situation is not what it seems, you get one free medium pizza per week and they ended it way before our bills package ended.

Issues have gotten worse now as customer service is just completely ignoring multiple calls texts and emails from my entire house.

While our packages may sometimes work out more expensive than sorting bills individually, they’re designed to offer convenience, clear monthly payments, and shared accountability, especially helpful in student houses.
I understand it’s disappointing that things didn’t feel seamless in your case.

Regarding the Wi-Fi refund, I’m sorry it took longer than expected to process, we aim to resolve these much faster, and delays like that aren’t the norm. As for the pizza offer, it was one free medium pizza per household per week, which ran for a set promotional period that covered the academic year. That said, we’ll take this feedback on board as we improve future promotions.

Finally, I’m sorry to hear you’ve struggled to get a reply from our team. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide. If your house is still experiencing issues, please reach out again and we’ll make sure it’s escalated properly.

Stressful experience

My son had a cold call from Housr and asked them to email the information. He did not agree to anything. Then over 2 weeks later he was sent an email saying the 14 day cooling off period was finished and he couldn’t cancel without incurring large fees ! He emailed back saying he had not had any information and was not aware he had signed up to a contract! He has had 3 subsequent emails saying he would have to pay and each time he has said he has had no information since the cold call and has not agreed to anything. It has taken a phonecall from his parent to the company to make them listen to what has happened. They still believe a contract has been agreed if a student says yes on a cold call with no further information given to them. During this period my son has been worried that he owes this company money !!! Unacceptable business practice and I would not use them.

Thanks for taking the time to share this. I’m really sorry for the stress this situation caused your son. We understand how important it is that students are fully informed before committing to anything, and we take that responsibility seriously.

In this case, your son did agree to the terms and set up of a package during the initial call, but we recognise that the follow-up communication wasn’t to the standard we expect.
Once it became clear that he hadn’t received the necessary information and follow ups, we acted as quickly as possible to cancel the package and waive all cancellation fees, we completely agree that this was the right thing to do.

We’re reviewing this internally to ensure every customer gets the right level of follow-up and clarity after a call, and we appreciate you raising it. If there’s anything more we can do to help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Horrible costumer service

Horrible costumer service, we haven't had a whole month of wifi since being with housr, not to mention its our assessment week at university and we haven’t had Wi-Fi for over a week. Absolutely horrific costumer service.

I’m really sorry to hear about the Wi-Fi issues, especially during your assessment period. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been.

As soon as we were made aware of your issues, we shared details with our broadband team and offered a temporary dongle to get you a connection while resolving your issues.

When we heard from you again on Wednesday, we escalated it immediately and the issue was resolved.
After you informed us on Friday that the issue had returned, our broadband team confirmed they spoke to a housemate, arranged compensation, and confirmed the dongle was on its way.

We’ve offered a full month’s compensation for the inconvenience, and we hope that helps. We’re always here to support, but please do let us know as soon as anything goes wrong so we can as fast as possible.
