I got into lucid dreaming 2 years ago after watching a Youtube video from Stef, and his channel and blog is still my go-to place when it comes to learning about lucid dreaming. I have also read some of his books, which really took my lucid dreaming experience to the next level.

Enjoy Stefan books and his techniques. Really helped me to lucid dream every night. Looking ahead to try his guide to astral projection. Highly recommended.

HowToLucid, now also known as Lucid Dreaming Experience on YouTube, is someone I don't want to refer to as a "lucid dreaming teacher" at all. To be perfectly honest, I think the topic of lucid dreaming as a whole would be much better off without this actor.

DISCLAIMER BEFORE I CONTINUE: YouTube is one major part of HowToLucid's business. For transparency, I haven't actually purchased any of his products; however, I AM LEAVING THIS REVIEW AS A VIEWER of his YouTube channel. A viewer, I might add, who has had their comments repeatedly deleted and/or banned from his comments sections. From what I can gather, he seems to be attempting to practice similar censorship here on TrustPilot, flagging negative reviews so as to hide them. I noticed that while I have been writing this, HowToLucid registered an account... moments after all negative reviews were flagged and a positive review by a "customer" suddenly appeared. Interesting.

TL;DR:

- HowToLucid is NOT a lucid dreaming "expert" by ANY stretch of the imagination. If you want to learn about lucid dreaming, DO NOT go to him.
- He is actively suppressing negative comments and feedback on his "30-Day Lucid Dreaming Bootcamp" in the comments sections on his YouTube videos (I have been able to prove as much).
- He mixes spirituality with science without making this clear.
- The vast majority of his YouTube videos contain terrible amounts of misinformation on the topic of lucid dreaming.
- Stefan, the person behind HowToLucid, runs several websites on various topics, on which he sells a staggering amount of e-books, at absolutely ridiculous prices considering their length and how vague and poorly written they are.

HowToLucid, now also known as Lucid Dreaming Experience (which, by the way, is already the name of a magazine on lucid dreaming that's been around for years... I'll let you make up your own mind as to why Stefan might want to "borrow" its name), is someone I'd recommend you stay far away from if you're looking to learn how to lucid dream. All his content that I have seen is misleading, poorly researched at best, and horribly unstructured and confusing.

His "30-Day Lucid Dreaming Bootcamp" seems to be his main product when it comes to lucid dreaming (as mentioned above, he runs several other, similarly shady businesses in addition to howtolucid). Luckily, I never bought this bootcamp myself; but seeing other people's opinions on it, and then how Stefan is suppressing negative feedback on it, leads me to believe that this course is essentially a rip-off.

However, although I can't comment on the specifics of his bootcamp, I can tell you what I know from having a look around his website and watching his YouTube videos on lucid dreaming. Here's a rundown of some of the things I have noticed:

- He gets completely basic facts on lucid dreaming wrong.
- He mixes spirituality with science without making it clear to his audience what parts of his teachings can and cannot be supported by scientific research.
- His videos are filled with horribly misleading hype and exaggeration.

So, to anyone reading this: Please do not waste your time and money on HowToLucid's products, videos, etc. There are a few lucid dreaming teachers out there who are actually trustworthy -- but sadly, HowToLucid / Lucid Dreaming Experience is absolutely not one of them.

HowToLucid.com has help me a lot in achieving my first-ever lucid dream. I honestly don't believe in the idea of being in control of your dreams, until I've tried the guide which I had stumbled upon the website. Lucid dreaming has been my escape and has been somewhat a tool of realizing the things I can't do in reality, but I can do in my dreams. Thanks to this helpful website. I'm looking forward to reading more helpful materials. Keep it up!

Stefan, the owner of HowToLucid (aka "Lucid Dreaming Experience" on YouTube) claims on his website that his "Bootcamp" helped a lot of people to become lucid and that no one needed his money-back guarantee so far because it works so well...

... The truth is that he deletes every bad review, both from his website and YouTube. I actually bought the Bootcamp and the BreakThrough Course and both are crap. You get badly formatted ebooks that are shorter than the website praising them, and short videos where a lot of essential facts are wrong or incomplete. Fortunately, at least he didn't lie about the money-back guarantee which worked for me.

It is no problem to make mistakes or to get things wrong, everyone does that. But normally, you learn from your mistakes. But to ignore all criticism, delete bad reviews, and making money with misinformation is just not honest.

Please, Stefan, stop to use unaware or inexperienced lucid dreamers to your advantage and start making honest content!

Edit: By the time Stefan wrote the reply to my comment, he already tried to ban my comment twice and requested verification for my experience from TrustPilot. As you can see by the badge 'verified' next to my name, this has already been done, so his comment is yet another lie and a poor attempt to make genuine reviews untrustworthy.
