I went to the hove branch with my mum as she wanted to buy a riser recliner, she'd had a leaflet through the door about HSL and wanted to go to the store
We had an absolutely fantastic experience in the store, the lady we dealt with was amazing, knowledgeable & welcoming, she allowed my adult son with a learning disability to try out a couple of the chairs & even got him a can of coke & some biscuits (mum & I declined a drink) we had quite a few laughs while we were there too which was unexpected
My mum (87) chose a gorgeous riser recliner chair & fabric with all the bells & whistles & she paid on the day. I can't praise the sales lady enough, she was lovely!
Delivery was on time, we were well informed of times etc & Mum said the delivery guy was very helpful & "like you'd expect in the old days, courteous & respectful & very nice"
All in all I would 100% recommend HSL, they made choosing & buying a riser recliner a lovely experience for my mum

I went into the HSL showroom in Hove, just to browse, but, the service that I received was so exceptional that I was persuaded to buy a chair, Kerrie was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure that I was happy, giving really helpful advice. I am very pleased with the chair, having had it several weeks.I wanted something that didn’t shout “chair for someone with a bad back”! it’s received lots of compliments, so I couldn’t be more pleased.

We recently purchased a chair from HSL in Hove and, although our chair hasn’t arrived yet due to the lead time, I wanted to leave a review based on the exceptional service we’ve received so far.

After spending a day visiting other furniture shops and feeling completely overwhelmed by the amount of information and options, walking into HSL was a breath of fresh air. Meg immediately put us at ease, and as soon as we were in her hands, we knew we had found the right place and were making the best choice.

We left that first visit with a quote, but over the following weeks we had several conversations as we considered our options. When we changed our minds about the model, Meg re-quoted everything quickly and arranged for additional fabric swatches to be delivered incredibly fast, which made the decision process so much easier.

Meg wasn’t in store when I returned to complete the purchase, but her colleague picked everything up seamlessly and was excellent in handling the final stage of the sale. The whole experience has felt professional, knowledgeable and genuinely customer-focused.

The chair may still be on order, but my confidence in HSL as specialists is already complete. Thank you to Meg and the Hove team for turning what could have been a stressful purchase into such a positive experience.

This review relates only to the service we received at the HSL store in Hove. The chair we ordered is still on its way so can't comment on that.
We visited the store with my 95 year old father in law to find him a chair that was easier for him to get out of. Although he liked the first chair he found the Manager(?) made sure that he tried several others to ensure it was the best one for him. She spoke directly to him, i.e. not just to us to ensure that she understood that he was the customer, not my wife and I, although she did, of course, discuss issues with us too. Having taken two years to convince him to try out some chairs it was great that it was such a friendly and positive visit.

Great service by staff.Clare was very friendly and helpful with no rush to decide. Good selection from which to choose.

My partner and I visited your store in Newtown Road Hove three times. We were welcomed very warmly by Meghan, Joshua and Kerry who were all very helpful and knowledgeable about your furniture. We made purchases totalling more than £6000-00 and then brought a friend in who also made a purchase. We did not feel under any pressure to buy and the whole process was relaxed and enjoyable.

Loving the stress less chair. Jason and Ashley where very helpful and respectful of my property, They kept me informed with delivery times.

Recently took delivery of a chair ordered from Brighton shop. Delivery by Jason and Ashley, prompt, polite and efficient. We needed to postpone original delivery slot and the organising agents were extremely helpful, personal service, speaking to a real human being!
The showroom staff in Hove are knowledgeable and helpful. This is our second purchase from HSL which must be a recommendation in itself.

Great delivery from 2 very friendly and helpful guys; Jason and Ashley. They had to remove wheels of the fab Stressless office chair to fit through a rather narrow door, but did so without any problem, and were very keen to do the job propely.

It was a delight to shop here for a Stressless chair and receive such amazing service from Claire.we we made to feel welcome, there was no sense of being rushed. We were given really useful information and all questions were answered in a helpful manner.
It is unusual ( sadly ) te receive such genuinely helpful service these days.

Our delivery from HSL Chairs took place today. I received several useful updates during the delivery process, including a phone call from our driver, Jason. I felt valued throughout the process and had plenty of warning to ensure everything was ready for the delivery. Jason and Ashley delivered my chair with great care and attention to detail. Jason was especially helpful and friendly. A great delivery experience!
