The finish/coating is a little too reflective in most light situations see the beautiful detail. But other than that I am very happy with the quality and craftsmanship.

The distressed brass Strat-style pick guard set I ordered from Hudson turned out so well that I ordered the same in a Tele-style set! The way he treats the brass makes every item unique. Packaging for shipping was excellent. He does beautiful work, is responsive to questions, and is a pleasure to work with. I will be ordering a third set for a Musiclander body in the near future. Incredible work and great communication. I found Hudson Unique through IG and couldn’t be happier. Don’t buy cheap pickguards that don’t fit good. Buy the best handmade pickguards from Hudson Unique.

I’ve never had a better customer service experience in my life. For my custom Stratocaster with what seemed like a one off type of pick guard with screw hole dimensions not found on normal HSH Strats, he walked me through the entire process. Through clear and prompt communication and patience he made my dream pickguard, backplate and neck plate. Not to mention I live in Texas and he’s in the UK! When I received the parts they all fit perfectly and I was amazed at the high quality of the work!!! Hands down Hudson is a master artist and engineer. This app limits us to 5 stars which I must give, but if it were up to me I’d have a button for infinity!

Excellent customer service, above and beyond helping me figure out a custom design for a very difficult guitar

I love looking for passionate individuals who pour their heart and skill into what they do and Hudson absolutely excels at it!
I found his work on Etsy looking for someone who could do some custom work besides his usual output.
Getting in touch was very easy and personable. He is a pleasure to converse with and gets as enthusiastic about the project as you are describing what you had in mind.
The craftsmanship is absolutely astonishing. The quality of the cut and level of detail put into the final product is something you can spend hours looking at and finding new little details you missed before. It's not just craftsmanship, it's art done with love and passion.
Even the packaging was done with care and attention to detail.
Payment was very easy through reputable and safe means, in my case Squared Away. Delivery was prompt (albeit with a slight delay in import customs to an EU country).
I would absolutely not hesitate to seek Hudson out for more projects!

Here are three reasons to use Hudson Unique Pickguards: First, it's just a great product. Hudson's custom aged brass scratchplate has really elevated a treasured guitar that I've had for many years, to the point where it's almost like having a new instrument. Secondly, my guitar specs were a little off from the templates, but Hudson really took the time to make sure the sizing was absolutely correct before starting production. This was definitely a bespoke job. And thirdly, and most importantly, all my musician friends are now extremely jealous ;)
