Salesperson very informative about the company and the comparison between the various models. We chose the Fold because it folds into a suitcase type shape and is lighter to lift into the car than our older autofold model. Good stability for the weight. We would have liked to see the prices in the brochure.

Due to health issues I (Simon) needed one if I was to remain mobile. However, no-one in the family or close friends had had one, and we didn’t understand what to look for. Living in the north of Scotland, there are very few chances to see scooters. We requested information from Humfree via a Newspaper advert, and found that they offered a free demonstration service.
After only a short wait, the demonstrator, Lorna, arrived. We had expected a high pressure commission driven salesman. How wrong we were!
From the start it felt as if we were having a chat with an old friend. She started by asking about the background and health of both of us – covering more than just mobility issues. She then explored what we were expecting, plus what we could reasonably expect (whatever the price). Fortunately, we didn’t want to climb Ben Nevis! But we did want quite a lot more than just go to the local shop.
We wanted to be able to walk a few miles with our dog – not just locally – so the scooter would need to be small enough and light enough for us to put in our car. We like the occasional meal out but parking is difficult so a fold-up scooter would make it easier. She helped us recognise all this.
Eventually, she agreed to demonstrate 3 of the range of scooters she had with her. She started with the cheapest – explaining its features as if it was the only one. Any scooter will look great on a new car park. Real world pavements are very different from that! A ride round the block showed me that I may have to make some compromises. The problem is that not only do strength & stability cost money, they also increase size & weight.
The second & third scooter confirmed this dilemma. What did I want? Where could we compromise? Larger wheels & full suspension help to deal with our abysmal pavements at the cost of being too big to fit in a car or so heavy that you need a hoist.
After due consideration, we chose the lightest one. Lorna insisted that both my wife & I tried to fold it & lift it into our car, then reverse the process. It has rear suspension, & larger (solid rubber) wheels. It folds to the size of a suitcase (with an extending handle).
I can’t thank Lorna enough for her skill & knowledge in guiding us through the difficult decision process.
As promised, it was delivered within 5 working days. It was assembled & demonstrated on my doorstep. Well done Humfree.

Tried something new, that I don't know. Found it easier than I expected. Julian was a laugh because he can't dance!

Alan Sims, the salesman who visited, to demonstrate the Humfree scooter, was very pleasant, not at all pushy, very polite, and a pleasure to meet. The scooter its self exceeded my high expecations by far! Very comfortable, exceptionally easy to maneuver in small spaces. The turning circle is nice and tight, whilst still providing stability. Small, sharp corners, were easily navigated. All controls good and in easy reach, including speed adjustment. A lovely ride that instilled confidence in stability even over rougher terrain and gravel. Dismantling the scooter, into its two pieces, was straight forward and very simple. Removing the battery and charging situations excellent. The light weight and folded size of the scooter was very impressive, easily dealt with by my partner, who has back problems, who was able to lift it into the boot of the car easily. I have ridden a number of different mobility scooters but this Humfree Connect is second to none. I would thoroughly recommend this scooter. A two year guarantee, and a 14 day cooling off period are the "icing on the cake" . I am a delighted customer !

Arrived on time as agreed. Very friendly, easy to talk to and explained everything to us in great detail. Had a go of the scooter and found it so easy to use and very light to lift into the car. Arranged to purchase and arranged finance for us. Would highly recommend them.
