Excellent experience
This was my first rental and I went for a top rated renter and read the reviews carefully. It couldn’t have gone better . The dress was perfect . Since renting I have found out a lot of my daughter’s friends rent from Hurr. I think it’s going to grow and grow but it does take a leap of faith at the start.
Dress has not arrived - major hassle
I ordered a dress to arrive for today (18 June) for an event first thing tomorrow. The dress has not arrived and I have not had any responses from the person lending the dress to the messages I have received. In addition, I was using my appleID to login to my account, and I can now no longer login using my appleID.
I would not rely on this service if you have an event and you require a dress. There is too much that can go wrong - as was the case here.
I must say, I was sceptical about whether this service would work and my scepticism has proved right.

Excellent service
I have rented via Hurr a couple of times now. One through the managed service and the other through a private lender and both times have been perfect.
Amazing experience
Amazing experience. The dress was completely new with tags on, arrived 4 days early in a secure package. So easy to return! I did have to use my own cable tie as I couldn’t find one in the bag (zipped) but it wasn’t an issue at all. Recommended to all my friends
A great way to wear a special dress for a special occasion
I have rented a few dresses via Hurr and have always had a great experience. It’s a fantastic and affordable way to rent a special dress for an occasion and much more sustainable than always buying new. All the owners that I have dealt with have been very pleasant to deal with.
Fit Guarantee is not fit for purpose
I've been a Hurr customer for years and recommended it to friends. A platform built on community and style should value repeat customers. Clearly it does not.
The dress I rented arrived on Friday 22nd May during working hours. I tried it on after work, it didn't fit. By that point my local Post Offices were already closed. Hurr mandates Royal Mail Special Delivery as the only return method, which requires an over-the-counter Post Office transaction. All three of my local branches were closed Saturday 23rd through the bank holiday weekend until Tuesday. There was no physically possible way to comply with their return window.
What followed was weeks of back and forth with a customer service team that repeatedly suggested alternatives, including parcel lockers, that Royal Mail's own guidance explicitly states cannot be used for Special Delivery items. Every suggestion contradicted either Hurr's own policy or Royal Mail's published rules.
Rather than take responsibility, Hurr hid behind the peer-to-peer structure and directed me to the lender. When I contacted her directly, she confirmed she'd never received the form from Hurr to approve the refund. A failure entirely on their side.
This is my second poor experience. A previous booking was cancelled the day before delivery after being made months in advance.
The Fit Guarantee is misleading. Proceed with caution.

Really poor customer service
I've recently been exchanging emails with HURR about a dress I was renting to a lender. I won't go into detail about the issues, but HURR after the rental period cancelled me receiving any income from the booking. I've sent HURR a couple of pretty lengthy emails setting out the facts, they have responded to one of my emails with a poor response than is non explanatory and sounds more like an automated response than someone actually going through and properly reading my emails. I've had no response to my last email which I sent five days ago, even though I have chased them up twice!
Shocking customer service, especially given I have been using this platform for 3 years regularly - that clearly means nothing! Hopefully this review might mean that someone actually responds to me

The peer to peer model needs looking…
The peer to peer model needs looking at. I reserved a dress months in advance, only for it to be cancelled the day before it was due to arrive with a pretty unconvincing “just discovered it’s damaged” one line from the seller. Nothing from HURR other than £5 to my next rental with them, as if I’d ever risk this again. For peer to peer rentals, there needs to be some advance checking or other system that reduces somebody cancelling on you the day before and causing immense stress. In the end rented through competitor by rotation and had a much better experience.

I was sent the wrong colour dress
I was sent the wrong colour dress - I ordered a silver, metallic dress and the dress that arrived was navy. I had time before my event so I contacted support, however, it has been 48 hours and I have not received a response. My event is tomorrow so I will now have to wear the wrong coloured dress which does not fit the theme. This was a Hurr managed dress so it's disappointing.

I’ve used Hurr a couple of times and…
I’ve used Hurr a couple of times and it’s great. I have noticed it’s got more expensive the last time I’ve used it with lots of additional costs added which do make it more expensive but still more cost efficient then buying every time.
