Communication wasnt very good
Communication wasnt very good, I got an email saying huws would be in touch shortly to arrange delivery, I had to ring them to ask about it, then they just turned up a few days later.
The driver said I should have visited to yard as I would have probably got a cheaper price as the stock I purchased had been in the yard for years.

Both ladies that I dealt with were…
Both ladies that I dealt with were friendly and very helpful - they are the 5 stars. The website however is useless and would be 1 star! I kept putting in my town or postcode in Wiltshire, and it kept telling me that my nearest branches were in Scotland!!! It took ages of fiddling to get it to load my actual nearest branch (half a mile from my house!), so that I could pre-order.

Hire desk
I’ve always got on well with the lads at Hirebase Nantwich and can’t fault them for doing their best to get machinery to site on time whenever I’ve needed it. The service has generally been reliable and the team are usually approachable and helpful.
However, on my most recent visit (02/05/26) I did feel quite uncomfortable with some of the language being used by Gav. It wasn’t what I’d expect in a professional environment and it did take away from what has otherwise been a positive experience dealing with them. Hopefully it was just a one-off, but it has made me decide to go elsewhere for the time being.
That being said, I’ll still be using the build side as Connor is great to deal with and always manages to beat competitor pricing.
