These lads have gone bust. Arranged for us to shell out more cash to rewrite our misguided action. Said they could help us. Wrong. Were they in on the action as well ? Wouldn't surprise me.

I used Hydrogard Legal Services to reclaim the costs of spray foam insulation in the lift. The whole process started in November 2023 and concluded on 14th October 2024. I am delighted to report that I was kept informed of every stage of the process by super efficient, courteous and friendly staff and Ian’s team of lads who effected the removal were very efficient. Due to poor installation of roof loft foam we were advised by Hydrogard that it would be best to have it removed. The original installation company had become insolvent and we had also been Mis sold an air recycling unit to purify the air in the house. Hydrogard advised that they could arrange removal of the foam and provide a legitimate certificate of removal and as we had paid for all of this work by credit card they would assist us in recovery of our costs. I am pleased to report that whilst it has been a reasonably long wait we have recovered most of our cost plus interest of which Hydrogard does take a % fee. All we can say is it is worthwhile using Hydrogard legal services for there help in this matter.

I also signed a contract with Hydrogard Legal Services to try to recover the cost of inappropriate loft insulation. Chris Brown from HLS managed to recover this cost for me. He kept me up-to-date with progress spoke up for me to the Ombudsman and eventually was successful. I couldn't have done it on my own. He is a star - just never gave up! It took about time - over a year - but I received payment a couple of weeks ago.

On 20 Nov 2022 I signed a no win/no fee contract with Hydrogard for recovery of the cost of installation of spray foam insulation in our loft and the consequential loss of extracting it in order to make our house mortgageable again. On 23 May 2024 £17,210.00 was returned to my credit card account - to my great relief and huge gratitide to Hydrogard. I cannot thank them enough for the skill and peristence that brought about this achievement.

got in touch with this company and spoke to a lovely gentleman called Paul Pittman. We had spray foam loft insulation fitted and we have been inundated with cold callers trying to get us to take it out. We found the number for Hydrogard and contacted them about it.They sent a representative of the company they use to assess the loft, we decided to go ahead and have it all taken out. Ian and Lewis turned up yesterday and boy did they work they scraped the foam off the roof replaced the felting and lay new insulation down these guys worked,we inspected the loft when they finished what an amazing job they did and they even cleaned up after themselves.I would recommend Hydrogard legal services they are looking into getting some financial compensation but for now we are just pleased to be rid of that awful spray foam.

I contacted Hydroguard Legal Services after my parents were scammed with buying spray foam loft insulation. I spoke to Chris Brown who was excellent, he gave me lots of great information and advice and to be honest I wouldn't know where to start if it wasn't for him. He took the time to speak to me and share his knowledge without charging me a single penny. If I called to speak to him, he took my calls right away or called me back quickly if I left a message. I cannot thank this company enough. Hydroguard are based in England and I am in Scotland, yet they still did all they could to help me.

For the benefit of reviewers I am leaving my original thoughts here, but this is to show how wrong I was.

My original review (Please read my follow up statement):
We received a letter advising us of the problems with foam insulation. Having had the insulation installed, along with a a spray on the outside walls to protect them just prior to this letter arriving we were worried, so contacted them. A very pleasant gentleman visited and told us that the insulation would do more damage than good, the guarantee was worthless and HLS could get us our money back, with compensation for removing the insulation. We paid a £1K deposit to have the foam removed.
Nearly a year later it has not been removed - there were a few times when it had been arranged to be removed but, due to "staff sickness", it has not yet been done. No sign of any compensation or meaningful correspondence regarding our claim against the company who originally installed this - until today when we received a letter saying that as we had paid by Debit Card rather than Credit Card and HLS had received no response from the company who installed the foam, they were closing the claim.
After a phone call they did advise us they would be coming round at the beginning of February to remove the foam.
I have a very bad feeling about this, especially as they are not an SRA regulated law practice.

My follow up review/statement:
Following the review I received a call. It transpires that it was not Hydrogard who cancelled the appointments for the removal of foam insulation, but a member of my family (who has been severely rebuked for lying to me). I was advised of the steps that has been taken to try to recover funds, but it seems that the company who installed the foam are elusive and have a seemingly fake registered office. I was advised that the company have been reported to trading standards. Fair enough I wish Hydrogard had advised me of this in the letter, but overall I cannot complain about their actions.
I wish to convey my sincere apologies to Hydrogard and their staff for doubting them.

My elderly parents had foam insulation installed a number of years back, We contacted Hydrogard (having previously had a positive outcome with them!!). Everyone has been so helpful and polite when I have spoken to them. Unfortunately early in 2023 we lost my father and Mum was alone and worried that the foam insulation would be causing issues with the house. Hydrogard have been respectful of Mum and the circumstances and gone above and beyond to rectify the situation for her.
I personally cant thank them enough, as Mum now has less to worry about. Thank you all you've been amazing

The whole experience was seamless from the initial contact to the refund. I was kept informed at each step and the firm were very helpful when i had questions about what was going on.
I would heartily recommend this firm to anyone who has been mis-sold spray on loft insulation.

We were referred to Hydrogard by a local estate agent to assist with a spray foam insulation claim. The advice and assistance provided was exceptional, and the result was a full refund of the installation costs AND the removal costs which was a nice surprise. Chris and his team dealt with every aspect of the claim and kept us fully advised during every stage of the process.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Hydrogard Legal Services for this type of claim, and will certainly consult with them in the future for consumer complaints.

I spoke to Hydrogard legal services regarding an underperforming Air Source Heat pump I had installed.
Although unable to provide legal assistance in my case they offered other avenues for me to pursue and spent a great deal of time talking me through various scenarios. I found them to be very polite, helpful, understanding, and a pleasure to talk to.

Hydrogard kept their promise and recovered all costs for the supplying and removal of spray foam in my loft. They got in touch with me last year and informed me that I may have been mis sold spray foam applied in my loft. I found out that it was not necessary as I had adequate insulation already in my loft. Hydrogard said they would get back the cost of the spray foam and also the cost of having it removed. True to their word they went ahead and recovered all the cost's involved plus interest on the money that I paid for the initial application. The full amounts were paid into my bank account. Yesterday a man came to my houses and removed all of the foam and he tidied up afterwards. You wouldn't know he had been. Left everything tidy. A pleasant individual who worked very hard and completed the work in one day. I cannot thank Hydrogard enough.
