Don't use Black Norway

I ordered some "professional" grade garden tools from an offshoot of icicosmetic, called black norway. The products did not arrive in 4 days as claimed at time of order, but arrived 2 weeks later having been shipped from China. One set of clippers arrived in a plastic bag and so far I have not been able to unlock them for use, the other pair are not as ordered. Emails are replied to in the early hours of the morning, but so far I am getting nowhere on returns and refund. I plan to call Launchese , Coronation Road, London as this seems to be the address / organisation which helped icicosmetic and black norway to be set up. It has 5 stars, as opposed to 1 star for the two trading companies.

Appalling website and customer service.
Husband ordered me a Christmas present which apparently has been on its way since December, it’s now April!
After numerous communications with the company and them saying it’s on its way, my husband requested a refund. The responses seem to be just repeated emails, presumably a bot and not a person asking for your shipping address.
Not one for writing negative reviews but keep we’ll away from this website.

Absolutely shocking!!

Absolutely shocking!!! Ordered a cleopatra mask and it has arrived and it is NOT an original product!!! I was purchasing a second one as a birthday present, and have done an exact comparison with my legitimate one. I had asked for them not to send product as they said it would take upto 30 days delivery from CHINA!!!. I had also asked for refund which they did not process!

Quality of Acupuncture device and service

My order for a rechargeable battery acupuncture device was NOT acknowledged and I had NO updates on supply/delivery. The advertised price varied from £30 to over £100 depending on when I looked at the site. The device arrived the day I contracted my credit card company and it arrived in a flimsy cardboard box in a flimsy plastic insert with a thin polystyrene sheet around it, no bubble wrap. Anyone with 20/20 vision would still need a magnifying glass to read the acupuncture map and points on the instruction sheet. With the ball point needle on and a setting of 1, it sent out quite a powerful current. Ergonomically it is very comfortable to hold, the control buttons did what they are supposed to do and the finish is a cheap chrome finish on what feels like a pretty flimsy plastic case.
Read the other reviews and I will not be making any other purchases from this company.

Incompetent and unhelpful

I ordered a handling belt for my husband on 2nd December. A couple of weeks later a cheap looking money belt was delivered. It did not say from whom. Come January I rang Icicosmetic who said it had been delivered in Dec. I asked if they had sent the wrong item. Long and short, I had to return, at my own expense, the money bag that I did not want to get my money back. By the time the money will be received it will have taken over a month to arrive. The return of the money belt cost me 30% of the cost of the handling belt. . I wish I had checked out Icicosmetic’s poor reviews before ordering from them. They are incompetent. How can a money belt be mistaken for a handling belt.

My only ever 1 star review

I have “never given a one star review ever before from many many reviews, but I truly believe this is the worse item I have ever bought.
I paid what I thought was a premium price for quality, I received something that I would not even consider paying £5.0 never mind £49.95.
The hair comb was for a Christmas present for my wife, I can’t and will not insult her with this piece of tat.
No I have not contacted the seller, as it took around 13 days to arrive
Sorry seller, but this product is only suitable for a village hall free raffle. and frankly I can’t be bothered with the hit or miss I might be refunded .

An update, today I had a comment from Icicosmetic offering to try and make amends and giving apologies for my disappointment.
I will not be asking for any compensation, but do appreciate their offer.

For any one who can be bothered to pursue a refund, it would appear there is a genuine desire to please.

I will put the matter down to experience and let it drop.

Winter boots not wearable in winter.

This is my first ever review of a company, and I have had negative experiences before but never to the extent of writing a review.

Firstly, there was very little communication between purchase of the product and its arrival. It took far longer to arrive that expected, but this was due to it being shipped from China. I do blame myself for not checking prior to purchase where the product was shipped from, but I do have to question why I am advertised products which have to be shipped from China before more local distributors.

When the product arrived I could tell before even opening the package I was in for disappointment, it was so light! These were advertised at £60 waterproof winter boots. When I opened the package I realized I have been scammed. Although the product resembles the advertisement images it is clear they have skimped on the materials for the actual thing. They are the thinnest material shoes and resembled felt. There is no inner lining so my feet would freeze and then are definitely not waterproof.

I wrote to the company voicing my complaint about their product, and they initially offered a 20% refund which considering the cost of the product and the quality I received I did not consider sufficient. (I will say there customer service team have responded very quickly.) I requested a 75% refund and said I would send the boots back as long as the postage was covered as they would need to be returned to China. They emailed back offering a 40% refund and that I could keep the boots.

I am fully aware that I am not going to get all my money back and considering I am refusing to send them back due to the price of postage that is fair. But ultimately the boots are a scam, and I struggle to believe anyone has received them and been satisfied. So I feel a 75% refund would be a fair resolution. If they had of agreed to this I would not have completed a review, but since it appears that despite being in the wrong they want to continue arguing over this I feel I have no choice.

AVOID! They are scamming you and will then argue over what you are entitled to be refunded.

Received an immediate email response & then a refund

I am writing to retract the poor review I made here on 19th November. That same day, I emailed Ben at the support email address and he responded immediately with a message to offer me a refund, which I received 2 days later on 21st November, so I’m pleased that the matter has been resolved by Ben.

If you have any complaints, it’s a good idea to email Ben at the info support email address and he will deal with your query like he did mine.

SCAM WEBSITE!!!

Products are faulty and of poor quality. Extortionate prices for what you receive and they refuse a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DODGY WEBSITE. They pose as being a UK company but are actually a warehouse in China.

Knee brace

I ordered a knee brace. It took weeks to come - nothing on the web site about massive delays in delivery. It was delivered to the wrong address by Yodel. Finally got it after weeks and many complaints to Icicosmetic - all fobbed off by someone called Jeannie. Probably a computer bot. Turned out the order had to come from China. The company is not a genuine UK company. The brace when I finally got it is no more than 2 idiotic velcro straps 35mm wide. The pictures on the web are totally misleading. Have asked for money back and no response. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS OPERATION. they are a disaster and a total waste of money. Many similar reviews here I see. Be warned. I got done by them.

I ordered a knee brace from icicosmetic…

I ordered a knee brace from icicosmetic on 9 Nov. The delivery company delivered it to the wrong address on 20 November and I tracked it down locally today. There is no indication on the web site when ordering that it will take up to 2 weeks. The brace itself is quite ridiculous, basically a pair of small 40mm wide velcro straps and no support at all for the knee. I have asked for my money back and return policy, only to be stonewalled. This item as a waste of money, and customer service a disaster.

As most other reviews seem to say, best avoid this company and look elsewhere. Bought a knee patella brace - it took 12 days to arrive and I found a different company selling the same for less than half the price. However, the product did actually arrive despite taking a lot longer than expected so it doesn't appear to be a complete fake - but twice the price of a similar product!

After a bad experience initially, Ben from Icicosmetic got in touch regarding a full refund. The refund followed quickly afterwards.
The company took its time but did the right thing eventually.
