We had a super cycling holiday in Croatia; our 7th cycling holiday with InnTravel and have also had several other holidays with them. Everything went very smoothly once in Croatia and routes/accommodation were as detailed. There were some admin glitches pre departure and customer service staff were always very helpful, supportive and resolved issues. However I have knocked a star off as InnTravel are not as efficient as they used to be … for about the last three years. ( We have used them for over twenty years). Email enquiries are not always answered and when phoning the wait time is often considerable. Changes are missed and require a watchful eye! Having said that we are likely to use InnTravel again as they do offer great holidays though next year I will be comparing/contrasting with alternative companies and may opt for one of those having previously not considered others.

A lovely holiday in some wonderful hotels. The routes were well designed and easy to extend. As the weather was cooler than I anticipated (high 20s C) the self guided routes allowed me to easily add on a bit extra. Altogether a wonderful experience

The organisation was superb but we were disappointed with the guide book .The maps included were very poor with extremely small writing and indistinct line guides which didn't help with the orientation. In some cases the route description was confusing .
This was our third holiday with Inn Travel and wasn't as good as our previous locations

Inntravel walking on the South coast of Crete. As always Inntravel chooses lovely family run hotels, where they can,
and this holiday was no exception. The hotels in Chryssoskalitissa, Paleochora and Sougia were comfortable and welcoming. Chryssoskalitissa is a small hamlet near the famous beach area of Elafonsi and the Glykeria Hotel had well appointed rooms, a swimming pool and an excellent restaurant. Peleochora and Sougia are small resorts with a laid back feel and relaxing atmosphere and the Hotel on the Rocks, in Peleochora, and the Syia Hotel apartments, in Sougia, were both comfortable and well appointed. The walking on this holiday is accurately graded moderate to challenging, but well within the capabilities of people who enjoy regular walking holidays with some longer walks included.

We had a wonderful holiday in the Logar Valley of Slovenia with Inntravel. We were based at Hotel Plesnik which is superbly positioned in a beautiful valley, surrounded by hay meadows and mountains. The hotel was very comfortable with excellent food. We walked locally on a variety of mountain trails. The views and the wildlife were world class. I would thoroughly recommend Inntravel and Slovenia.

We did the Wonders of Western Sicily. All the transport arrangements worked very well. The accommodation was excellent.
We wouldn't say it was the most interesting route we have ever done but the coastal walks on Favegnana and Levanzo were attractive. Our day in the Zingaro Reserve fell on a Saturday so it was very busy.
All in all happy with Inn Travel.

Most enjoyable break with 7 nights on lake Garda staying in a welcoming family run hotel right on the lake. we followed the walks and sightseeing as suggested by Inntravel-very interesting and enjoyable.
We followed with 2 nights in Verona exploring this lovely city on foot based in a central, helpful hote. A siuperb break.

Always great locations, well chosen hotels and everything well organised. If anything goes wrong they are quick to sort it out. They provide walking notes which are great.

The company gave us options for hotels, allowing us to select a good one within our budget. Directions to and from the airport were faultless and suggested tours of the neighbourhood were welcome.

The 'Wonders of Western Sicily.' Inntravel delivered exactly what it said on the tin. The 7 night (plus 2) adventure provided an incredible experience where untamed coastal reserves, medieval hill towns, and remote Mediterranean islands collied, offering a feast for our senses and, need I mention them, some rugged paths!

We were delivered first to the medieval slopes of Erice town that sits exactly 2,464 feet above sea level. The Hotel Elimo was a wonderful place to stay and we had a wonderful warm, and genuine, welcome from Antonio. The rooms are simple and in character with the location. It was here the first walk looped the town's hillside. We were not prepared for what unfolded. Sicilian spring flowers interspersed in the tall grasses. The striking forms of blood-red poppies, the deep blue of borage and creamy-white of the wild snapdragons filled the pathways, whilst in the few wooded glades or by rocky paths little gems popped their heads up.

Day 2 and it was down to Trapani port. A challenging, zig-zagging, steep mountain climb back down to the valley floor, all 2,464 feet of it, before the hydrofoil to the first of the Egadi islands- Favignana where we had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Egadi. This was an amazing experience; one we would repeat in a heartbeat. Both Daniele (the owner) and the staff were fantastic. Daniele has transformed this hotel into a delightful travellers experience. It is stylish, chic, elegant and tasteful. Yes, it is small and independently operated but has a distinct character, intimate atmosphere and personalised service. The island walk to the quarry gardens was both enjoyable and a surprise. The transformation of the former stone quarry into a haven of botanical beauty was incredible to witness.

For the remaining walk on the Islands we selected the trip over to Levanzo(again by hydrofoil) and hiked around the coast path- all of it; both up and down! The fragrance of wild flowers and herbs filled the air. It was a beautiful day for walking around the island, one that offers a rare escape into an untouched, car free, haven.

Last on the list was Scopello. This tiny, sun-bleached coastal hamlet offers an authentic, slow paced, Sicilian experience. Getting there is interesting too as you climb up a mountain track, some 2,952 (give or take an inch!) before climbing down to the other side to the hotel-but well worth the effort. Here Inntravel's selected 4 star hotel ( Baglio di Scopello) certainly delivered. The staff clean and reset the room daily (unless you ask them not to). It is a hotel where the staff are very attentive to the customer's needs, one managed by trained, helpful and kind people.

The suggested hike here is the Zingaro Nature reserve. It is a coastal hike between Scopello and San Vito Lo Capo. It's a real up and downer. The hike takes you past limestone cliffs, dwarf palms and secluded shingle coves. There are no drinking water stations on the route and good walking trainers or boots are essential.

Inntravel delivered a remarkable experience. One full of Sicilian charm and warmth from its people and which does the Italian nation credit. As a footnote; I don't do GPS but the walking notes were spot on-we never took a wrong turning once. We shall return. Thank you.

We had a wonderful gentle walking week on Lake Garda - we travelled out by train via Paris and Turin and then stayed at a simply brilliant family run hotel on Lake Garda which made us feel very special. The terrace breakfasts and evening meals there were wonderful and there are some great restaurants within short walking distance. One of the best Inntravel holidays we have been on

We did the walking tour of Alsace. Great walks and the wine was terrific. Always use two methods of navigation the written notes and the gpx tracks. We found divergence at times but using both and good judgment worked. The food at the first hotel i. Enguisheim was very meat heavy. The inns were charming and well located though customer responsiveness at CourdBalli in Bergheim was lacking. Lastly have a plan for dinner every night well before your trip starts. These are small towns and restaurants are sometimes fully booked or simply closed.

Just finished our fourth Walking trip with InnTravel. This time to the beautiful, less developed Italian provences of Umbria, Lazio, and southern Tuscany. As always, the itinerary is well thought out, the transport logistics work as planned, and the hotels are as advertised. Looking forward to a fifth trip!

The accommodation was excellent. A very comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The setting in the large garden is beautiful and the meals were of high quality and variety.
The walks were well described but we were very disappointed by the poor quality of the maps provided.

Hotel fantastic - breakfast & dinner excellent. Facilities clean and tidy, room comfortable. Staff eager to help. Walking notes and extra information very helpful. Great location for walking at altitude and the local (rack & pinion) train takes the strain out of most of the uphill trudge. Looking forward to returning next year!

Great organisation and everything went according to plan. The accommodation, route plans and local information were excellent. The food was lovely and the picnic lunch provided was ideal with extra water too.

An excellent walking holiday, well organised, interesting and very pleasant overnight stays. Everybody was very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking. We rarely met anybody on the paths until the last day which was a pleasant change from some of the very popular hiking trails we’ve done.

Hiking on our own on routes mapped out by people who obviously like walking and know the locality. Good hotels with good facilities, welcoming staff and excellent cuisine. Itinerary customised to our own preferences. All the info for our walks and accommodation clearly set out and easy to follow on paper and mapping app.

We loved the inns, but we could easily have found those on our own. What was really surprising was not getting any useful maps to use in the Welsh countryside (which is not a place that has well marked paths).
The older couple who were also traveling with Inntravel at the same time as us got lost and anxious and ended up hitchhiking back to the inn one day.
I found the Inntravel staff to be slow to respond and not especially helpful (for example, when I wanted to change the time for my taxi pick up I was told to just call myself, it would be easier - I would normally do that, but when I've paid as much as I did for their services, I was surprised that they weren't willing to make a simple phone call on my behalf).
We heard from one of the inn owners that other Inntravel clients had very poor experiences due to Inntravel's lack of organization. The worst one was a customer whose taxi never came, so the inn owner had to cancel an appointment and drive the customer to the train station so he didn't miss his flight).
The maps that were provided were truly laughable. Had we been told about some of the apps that exist - and that work really well - I would have felt like Inntravel had been more concerned about our welfare.
Overall, north Wales is STUNNING and the people are friendly, warm, and welcoming. I loved that part of the world and the walking paths were great. So go to Wales, just don't go with Inntravel.

We've used Inntravel for years but won't be using them again. We paid £3,000 for a walking holiday in France and Spain. The highlight according to reviews was a walk round the French coast. However, when we got there we discovered the trail had been closed for three months. We rang the company and they admitted they'd known but hadn't bothered to tell us. They gave us a £300 ex gratia payment and were advised to negotiate a discount on our return. However, customer services flatly refused to give us any more - apart from money off another holiday! In the end I wrote to the Managing Director and have heard nothing back. We're very disappointed that a company that used to pride itself in its customer service should now be so poor. But there are plenty of competitors out there.
