I came into the shop on my lunch break on 16th June with colleagues of mine to look at some watches the service I received from Stuart and Laura was amazing I wasn't rushed into purchasing and was given great advice to help me choose the right watches. One of the watches I wished to purchase wasn't in stock they were quick and responsive in order the watch into store and having it sent out to me as I passed through Glasgow on a works trip to collect the 2 in stock watches one of which I changed my mind on between purchasing and collecting which Stuart and Laura dealt with expertly and guided me to a more suitable watch.
From end to end great service and much appreciated in todays world, I will be definitely visiting and purchasing from James Porter and Sons in the future
The team at James Porter and Son Watches always go above and beyond. They have a real passion for the watches and their knowledge is second to none. Always at hand to help and advise . The customer service is outstanding

The watch I wanted wasn't in stock, so James Porter got in touch with Formex and asked them to make one for me, a unique special edition from spare parts, and arranged all that, which is just really good service, and not a penny in extra cost.
Not something you would get from most dealers or manufacturers in an industry where saying 'no' is used to exploit demand most of the time.

I recently purchased a very special watch — a Limited Edition Grand Seiko — for my dad’s 70th birthday, and I cannot thank David and the jeweller enough for the exceptional service he provided throughout the entire experience.
From start to finish, David was incredibly friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to explain the details of the watch clearly and answered every question I had with great care and expertise, which made the purchase feel even more special and reassuring.
Despite us placing the order only a day before my dad’s birthday, David went above and beyond to ensure the watch arrived in time for the occasion. The watch was delivered exactly as promised, beautifully packaged, and exactly as described.

Second visit to this store in the last few months. Purchased another fabulous ring for my wife. We were helped by a lovely assistant Jane. All the staff have been wonderful and are experienced and never put any pressure on you to buy. My wife got exactly the ring she wanted and we only have to wait a few days for it to be sized. It’s our go to place for jewellery and we have been so pleased with the quality and value of all the jewellery we have purchased.

I am delighted with my Doxa Sub 200 bought recently in the Glasgow Shop. It's a really good watch for the money and the customer service in store was top class. Friendly, not pushy and knowledgeable. No pressure was applied to buy. Crucially I felt I could have walked out without buying anything after having a nice chat about watches. So many watch salons don't get this basic rule. But perhaps because of that I did buy, and am very happy.

From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be our go to place for all things jewellery and watches.
They are such an amazing, friendly, approachable, talkative team. We've had the absolute please of dealing with Laura and then Molly. We will definitely be back for more sparkly goodies.

An exceptional experience purchasing a Sinn 556 I watch with James Porter & Son. From the initial enquiry call, David was extremely helpful in providing information on the product and purchasing process. David answered a plethora of my questions and put me under no pressure to proceed allowing me to come back to them when I was ready with my decision to purchase the item. He also communicated directly with the supplier to arrange a custom change to the watch specification which was greatly appreciated. Once they had received the watch from Sinn, it was delivered the next day via Royal Mail Special Delivery - it was packaged extremely well with a lovely personal note. The customer service and communication delivered by David was head and shoulders above other retailers I had contacted and this played a huge role in placing an order with a company miles away in Glasgow when there were several local options to consider. Their after sales support has also been excellent and has left me feeling reassured that I can contact them if I need any further support. An overall really pleasing purchasing experience from David and the team at James Porter & Son. Highly recommended! A big thank you to David for making this first purchase one to remember for all the right reasons.

The team here are excellent. They meticulously repackaged my watch after removing links, as requested. My unboxing felt as if it was delivered directly from Grand Seiko themselves.
The shipment was fast. I was in contact with Stuart the whole time, understanding the process and exchanging friendly comments about the watch I had purchased.
It is very clear the team at James Porter & Son function with commitment and professionalism.
They send the warranty card after you confirm you're keeping the watch, or after a set number of days if no declaration has been made. At no point was I concerned about this. In fact, it solidified my confidence in the business. It gave me the conviction that they don't mess around - and if you're an honest customer, then that is exactly what you want.
Stuart sent me the tracking number for the card, and a PDF from Grand Seiko that acts as a digital copy in the event that my card gets lost at any point; now or in the future.
I will be buying from here again.

I was looking for a special edition Hamilton watch and they reserved it for me. So after a few weeks I was able to visit and look at the watch in person.
No pressure from the guys, just a great service with conversation on Saturday.

I had an absolutely incredible experience working with Allan. I was trying to source a limited edition Nomos and emailed them through their website. I live in the United States and although I was working with someone I never met, I felt as if the customer service was as good or better than walking into a store. Thank you for a wonderful watch and purchase experience I will always remember. I can't recommend James Porter & Son enough!
