The gym is great, but immediately on joining, classes are being cut at a rapid rate. This was the main reason for me joining, so I’m thoroughly disappointed.

Spacious with lots of equipment
The gym is really spacious and has a lot of equipment meaning not on top of each other. I haven’t used yet but there is a good range of classes at various times. Knocked one star off as both leg presses are out of use and have been told it’s been like this a long time with no fix date in sight.

Brilliant gym, absolutely pitch black inside
Massive gym, loads of equipment and never feels busy because it’s so big but for crying out loud TURN THE BIG LIGHT ON. It’s lit up like a night club and you can’t see a thing in there. I’m not even exaggerating when I say I’ve had to pull out my phone flashlight a few times to see the numbers on the weight plates because it’s so dark in some areas. The corner by the hack squat is so dark it’s a joke.

I dont like the changing rooms are locked at 10pm til 6am mon-fri and 10pm to 8am, no one to call if you get stuff locked in locker room . Cost you 2 taxis and a hotel.

Our Mansfield gym is open 24hours and throughout the night, our accessible changing room is open should you need to get changed or grab a shower. We do close some areas (i.e the main changing rooms and saunas) for the safety of our members but we ensure this is announced in the gym.

Hi – Thanks for leaving us some feedback. Our gym teams do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should become broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have equipment in working order as soon as is safely possible.

The gym is great
The gym is great, there’s a huge variety of machines and lots of space! As a woman I feel safe here and everyone is respectful and kind. The gym is always clean. The downsides are that the music is way too loud even at 4 am & the air con is terrible. But as one of the cheaper gyms it’s worth the money!

Great gym
Great gym , pick your own time, go at your own pace. I like going when it’s not peak time so that I can relax, being a disabled women and using crutches makes me self conscious but the space between machines makes is so much more accessible and no one bothers you. You just get on with it .

Amazing
The gym is clean, spacious and lovely trainers. Would recommend everyone without second thoughts. Bonus of 24hrs is a wow for me.....anytime gym time very convenient for diff working patterns. Love it xxx

Went to jd gym mansfield today.i was a bit nervous as id not been for a while.i wanted to look round to decide whether it was something i was interested in.the staff member who met me natalie was very welcoming and very good answering any questions i had she is obviously a people person and very informative.the gym was fantastic,and i really enjoyed the experience

It’s a shame that the gym is going…
It’s a shame that the gym is going downhill, I was a member for over a year and really enjoyed my time whilst Bob was the GM, no problem was too big or too small. We then expected Nat to get the position as GM as she brings a light into the gym that no other staff member does, she cares for the gym and its members. Natalie is a credit to your gym. Now to speak about the way I was made to feel by the new GM unsure on his name, but the day he started he was changing things that didn’t need to be changed straight away, things the JD community as a whole would find quite altering to their gym sessions and overall just making us feel like children in an adult environment. I’ve decided to leave JD and never thought it would come to this…so if you want a gym where you’re dictated to, made to feel like a child and don’t get any replies from complaints or emails back regarding concerns on the gym then JD is the right gym for you!

When it comes to JD Gym in Mansfield
When it comes to JD Gym in Mansfield, i have used this gym for many years and is a great gym. Nat who i thought was the General Manager of the gym, who should be! Has a fantastic passion for fitness but also puts her heart and sole into the members that attend, she is always upbeat and full of energy and always on hand to help and support with any requires, you can really tell she wants the best for the gym and goes above and beyond for her member every day, pushing the boundaries with the events she puts together as well. Saying this, something she did for myself getting a signed Mansfield Town FC football for a child in my care, which he was over the moon with, couldn't thank her enough.

Mansfield JD Gym is awesome and it has 'The Nat' on staff!
Mansfield JD Gym is the best gym around - and I've been to most over the years. The place seems to have developed a gym community vibe in recent years since the awesome Nat has been working there. It is great to have gym staff who care and show real passion for the place and create a great vibe with gym goers. It really does make a difference. This particular girl makes the place buzz and the gym punters love her. Can't recommend Mansfield JD Gyms highly enough - love it (and Nat too x)
