False advertisement, not as depicted
As demonstrated in prior reviews, the quality and detailing of a dress I recently purchased is not at all as depicted on their website. I would not advise anyone to purchase from this store. As also mentioned, their final sale policy is ludicrous, given the frequent false advertisement. I hope to be completely refunded for a dress that was meant to be a worn on one of the most important days of my life.

My experience with this merchant has been, by far, the worst I’ve ever had. I truly wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this fraudulent website. And when I say fraudulent, I mean it in every sense — this company is a scam.
The dresses they advertise look nothing like what they actually send to customers. I ordered a dress and waited over a month for it to arrive. When it finally did, I was shocked — it was completely different from what was shown online, poorly made, unfinished, and extremely cheap-looking.
When I reached out to express my disappointment, their response made things even worse. They claimed the dress was a “made-to-order” item and therefore could not be returned or exchanged. Instead, they offered only a 50% store credit — which is completely unacceptable. I’ve never encountered such an unreasonable policy from any legitimate retailer.
I frequently shop online, and every reputable company I’ve dealt with offers fair and responsive customer service, especially when an item is not as described. This merchant’s behavior is deceptive and unethical. They falsely claim their dresses are “custom-made,” but what they deliver is far from custom — it’s cheap, generic, and misleadingly advertised.
I paid nearly $600 for a dress that looks like something worth less than $20. This company is nothing short of a scam. Please, do yourself a favor — stay far away from this merchant.

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from the website. I experienced many of the same issues as other reviewers.
The dress they sent wasn't the same as the dress advertised (they used a nice photo on their website that, like other reviewers say, was probably a stolen photo used for the bait and switch), then they claim it is the same when I provided photos clearly demonstrating it isn't.
They also claim that their no return/promotion policy makes it ineliglbe to be returned thought it wasn't indicated anywhere in checkout that it was a final sale.
They are also deceptive about the fact that items are being shipped from China, since the website clearly lists a US address.
If I had wanted the cheap knockoff I could have bought a less expensive version of the dress, which I also found on Amazon for 20% less.

Do Not Trust This Store – Dresses Misrepresented & No Refund
I ordered two dresses from Jewelclues for a wedding and was genuinely excited to support a small business. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing on every level. I have never experienced ANYTHING like this...
The dresses I received were DRASTICALLY different from what was advertised on their website. Everything from the color, to the fabric, to the details of the design. The fit of both was so poor that even a tailor couldn’t salvaged them.
I contacted customer service and provided clear photo evidence showing all the discrepancies. Rather than acknowledging any of the issues, they hid behind their return policy, which only offers store credit and a 50% restocking fee—even for items that were clearly misrepresented and defective.
They repeatedly ignored the core issue: I didn’t receive what was promised. Their customer service responses were dismissive, robotic, and clearly designed to shut down any accountability. I also discovered you can’t leave a public review on their website—they gate them via email to suppress negative feedback.
I’m currently in the process of filing a chargeback with my credit card company to get a refund, since Jewelclues refuses to do the right thing.
Please do yourself a favor and avoid this store. The dresses are not what they appear online, and if something goes wrong, you’ll be left with a product you can’t use, hundreds of dollars lost, and zero support.
I have never had any experience like this before and I'm deeply disappointed as someone who loves to support small businesses. On paper, they seem like an amazing option but it seems like I'm not the only one that's been scammed by this store.

Never arrived and no response!
My mother-in-law has a wedding to attend tomorrow, and she’s without a dress to wear. She placed her order with plenty of time given that she paid an extra $35 for expedited shipping, and it did NOT come within the time it was supposed to. This wedding is out of the country, and as the day was approaching that she’d leave, we have been trying extremely hard to contact the website about when the dress was expected to arrive. I’ve called multiple times every single day, and they keep declining my calls. I haven’t had one singular phone call answered. We didn’t have time to wait for an email reply, so I texted the customer support line they have, explaining we can’t wait for an email. They told me to email anyway. I emailed. The next day, with no reply to my email or calls, I texted again and they assured me I’d get an email reply within 48 hours of sending it. It’s been several days, no reply. And still no dress in the mail! She has already left, and it’s officially too late. That was over $500 WASTED, especially since we are 100% certain that HER email was attached to the order, and she never got a confirmation email or shipping details, but they charged her. Don’t buy from them unless you have weeks to wait for your expedited shipping and you’re comfortable potentially flushing over $500 down the toilet. 👎🏼
Edit: the company took six whole months to reply to my review! If you love yourself and value your time, run away and shop elsewhere.

not the same color as advertised and cheap looking
Just got the dress today. The good, dress does fit, which I was worried about with just giving measurements online. Was shipped in said time.
The bad, the dress online was pictured as a light tan with peach and white flowers attached with a few blue flowers. The dress recieved was a butter yellow color with pastel flowers that looks like dollar store quality not the flowers pictured which looked more realistic and embroidered. The colors just can't be more off than pictured, there's purple, pink and yellow flowers. Can not get back to my order to leave a review so I wouldn't trust all the 5 star reviews since I was given no option to leaving one. Just a way cheaper looking dress than advertised, and I paid $400 so not so cheap.

SCAM
SCAM! The dress recieved was NOT the right dress as advertised. The customer service stated that all dresses have to be altered and won't look as shown. However I gave custom measurements and none were correct. They made other excuses that the dress was made with more material to uphold structure, but the dress was designed to be see-through. I provided pictures and evidence and they ultimately offered me 50% in store credit. How is this fair if it's thier wrong doing. I will not buy from here ever again. The customer service is awful and they don't care to talk, only email. The quality of the dress was not good as the zipper failed and material cheap. I wish I was able to upload photos of what they sent in comparison to description.

The dress they advertised what not was I received and they will not refund it because I used a coupon code. The dress advertised looks nothing like what I received. This company’s way of handling customers is absurd! Do NOT order anything from this company. False advertisement!

Bought a dress for someone else. The customer experience throughout the process was very poor. I had to constantly chase them up for information
They offer made to order but when sending measurements their response was too late (they never asked me measurements I had to chase them up). They said too late 5 days after ordering when the processing time was estimated for 45 days. I can’t be “too late”
When dress arrived it wasn’t the same as advertised- misleading website, advertising
They talk about women business and sustainability but there is no way to contact of find who the owners are. Probably it’s a front to attract people who care about sustainable and inclusive business but experience is same or worse than a mass production Chinese company.

Disappointing(poor quality)
Opened the box to reveal a fishy smell, which is indicative of presence of formaldehyde. Cheap material overall. Lace insert on the chest area is off center. Padded cups are extremely cheap. It has the typical Chinese dress lace up ties on the back, as opposed to the hidden zipper/clasp it advertises. False advertising. Poor quality control.

Defects and horrendous experience
I ordered 3 dresses. 2 of the 3 dresses arrived faulty. JewelClues refused to accept a refund for 1 of the dresses and implied I was at fault for the defects.
They also provided customs with incorrect information so I was charged almost double as much for taxes and customs as I should have been.
Worst customer experience I have ever had. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
