Toxic Narcissists that Gaslight!

What the hec? This company is toxic! Beware! I logged into my session on Zoom and waited for over six minutes and then I realized nobody was coming. I messaged them and they messaged me back saying that I was sent all these reminders which was a lie because I didn’t receive one of them so instead of taking responsibility and accountability they try to gaslight me. Sounds like narcissism exemplified! Glad I found out their true colors before wasting any more of my time! Shame on you, Maxwell leadership- you don’t know how to lead! 💥

Horrible customer service and lack of…

Horrible customer service and lack of transparency in communication with the public. Individual keeps sending redundant emails and using unethical business tactics in communication with me. I do not recommend to anyone.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

I was scheduled for a call on Wednesday with Ryan Botner. The day of our scheduled appt he told me he was having a really crazy day and needed to change our appt time (on the same day as scheduled appt) I let him know I would not be able to do that same day change because my schedule is full.
So I offered today as an alternative to be kind.
This morning Ryan Botner sent me texts at 5:47am - when I told him “Just wanted you to know that it comes off really unprofessional....
So far this entire appt has come off that way....

After sharing that honestly (I’ve been a successful entrepreneur for 7 years) he responded with…
“Yes exactly. This program takes work ans discipline -it's not for everyone. God Bless”

On the one hand I’m so grateful I didn’t get them my savings, thank god they showed their true colors before I gave them a penny.
On the other hand this is extremely terrifying!!!
If you are new as an entrepreneur DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM!!!!
This is not even close to industry standard when it comes to resources and programs available to you.
And do not EVER give anyone thousands of dollars that lacks professionalism on such a large scale.
Saved my money for 6 months in order to apply for this program…..

No honor.

I was in jail. I talked to someone in sales about a new van for my wife and made CLEAR where I was and my need for someone to take good care of my wife during the purchase. When THE DAY came, sent her up there with my dad and a checkbook. Everything seemed to go well (except that they did not have the van that I had originally been discussing with the saleslady).

Note that my wife did not speak a lot of English at the time and had little experience buying cars- thus the reason that I sent my dad with her. Again, negotiations seemed to go fine at this point. A deal was made. A deposit put down (I am not sure as to why they could not take delivery on the spot, as we were paying cash for the vehicle). A schedule was planned for my wife to pick up the van and give the final check on the Thursday that week.

Thus the problems began:
- My wife returned without my dad (her insurance against getting scammed)
- My wife had been CLEAR that she DID NOT want an extended warranty
- The original salesperson did not help my wife, instead, some other salesperson (or manager???) did
- ABUSING her inability to speak good English and NOT providing anyone to interpret and AGAINST her previously established desire to NOT purchase an extended service agreement, they added one.
- All my wife knew was that the final check was for about $2000 MORE than the original agreement was (before tax numbers).

Fast forward a few years (originally this was 2018) to 2022 and my wife has a blowout returning from a family gathering (Thanksgiving) around 3am. She calls her brother (who was close) and he came to change the tire... next set of problems:
- No spare.
- No jack.
So she has to call an emergency roadside person who charges $360 to sell her a tire, mount it, and send her on her way.

By this time (2022) I am home. I am upset about not having a spare. I dig through paperwork with the intention of finding out if it is on the original window sticker. I found all the paperwork. Next series of problems:
- I found the ADDED warranty.
- I called the dealership to complain about the TWO problems -the bigger being their abuse of a non-English speaking client, but the tire is still a big deal, too.
- I spoke with Nyle's son directly - he was managing the Taylor location at that time. He was PROFOUNDLY apologetic and promised to do all in his power to rectify the situation.
- He NEVER followed up after that.
- He NEVER returned (or even answered) another call after that.
- Neither he nor anyone else that I talked to there ever made good on their commitment to get us the spare and jack.
- No one even TRIED to make good on the $2000 that they NEVER HAD PERMISSION TO CHARGE for a warranty that was EXPLICITLY DECLINED.
- No one ever even mentioned if possibly the ext War (that again, we never should have had) might at least cover the roadside assistance charges.

No one has ever done anything. AND even our complaint to the BBB has not caused them to get some form of honorable response.

My mom bought 2 3/4 ton trucks from Maxwell. My dad bought a 1 ton and a 1/2 ton. We THOUGHT that we would be doing business with them for life. Turns out that they are no better than classic image of a used car salesman.

I am PITIFULLY disappointed.

NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a car from the Maxwell family!
(The "date of experience" on this is the date that I finally stopped actively trying to get them to do something about the prejudice and disservice that they showed/ did to my wife).

I thought of buying in, but the fish smells

I thought of buying in. but there are lots of red flags. No upftont and transparent information to make an educated guess. Yes, I know had said the word "guess". It was on purpose becase they can't make promises. It is the law. By doing this, they can wash their hands and say: "It is your fault for not working the "system"; if it does not work out and you demand a refund. There is absolutely no way to by wise, financially speaking, until you have invested an hour or more of your time, then the costs are revealed. Of course, they might say, "this is not for every one and that it is only for the best of the best". Perhaps, they might say they are providing special pricing just for you, just because you sound like a true winner, but you have to close now, because after the call, the deal is off. I am sure there is high emontionally charged script they follow to get your card information. If the first point of contact does not close, they transfer you to a closer at some point. These type of gangsters are trained to drain you mentally and emotionally so you "willingly" commit to the close. From the reviews and other people's experiences, it looks like a pyramid scheme. Pay the fee, "get certified", then refer others to the same.

They started sending me spam out of nowhere. And they just don’t stop.
They used the real spelling of my name which I never disclose online which makes me believe they bought an illegal mailing list from somewhere.

One of your proud employees/leaders (Tom) is actively pushing anti-vaccine & anti-mask propaganda. While telling those who are auto immune are being "dramatic & angry" for wanting people to be vaccinated & wear masks. He is feigning victim, while harming everyone else. Is personal accountability not taught at these seminars/certification classes? Is empathy for others not covered? Is a blatant disregard for Science key curriculum? Do classes teach that only money is the key to happiness & power?
Or is Tom using the John Maxwell name in the wrong way & needs to be reprimanded?

John max tell me why dont you pay based on commissions?

Is your certification recognized by any states and laws? I hope because it appears that members have to pay all cost until they get to a certain level. That includes training course, trips, books.

Another questions : Can a person moves up the ladder can they lose their position if they do not sell anymore, or If customers cancel their subscription or membership?

And can you show me anywhere in the bible that these type of tatic of business is based on the bible? Because what I read so far i dont find it. I did find however that it goes against the biblical belief.

Honestly I am trying to understand it and I hope you will answer my questions. If not will than I guess I draw my own conclusion.

Hi There

I recently showed interest in the John C Maxwell’s Team program. All looked pretty good till the usual sales fine print started kicking in. The experience was so poor over and over again that it has left me very disappointed and unsure of the purpose of the program.
I have been reading and listening to John for a number of years and for me this program was the best thing that could ever happen to me. However, the whole experience has made me believe that John’s vision, mission and values have been compromised and put into a tin can which is full of unpleasant surprises. Not sure if this means anything to you but thought to share.

I am very grateful to be apart of…

I am very grateful to be apart of something "bigger" than myself, since joining the John Maxwell team, I have been stretched continually in the areas of my personal and professional development skills.
I must say, John Maxwell , his staff of mentors and facilitators are truly "Servant Leaders", who demonstrates a passion for wanting to see others succeed in reaching their fullest potential!

I believe we were created to serve others, no matter what field you're in. My passion is to motivate,encourage,uplift ,inspire and empower others to unleash the greatness, that lies within and then use it to make a difference in the lives of others!!!
