Used this company to book a transfer from the airport to Krakow city centre. The driver was very friendly, helped me with my luggage, and during the drive offered some suggestions and recommendations for things to do while visiting Krakow.

Looking at other reviews I can see this is common practice with this amateur setup, like many many others they cancelled our trip at the last minute after it had been booked for about 5 months! If you are planning on going to Krakow and using a company to see the sights…. Try to find a professional company!!!

We were extremely worried about this company having read the reviews. I emailed frequently about our visit to Auschwitz, asking for confirmation or further details and they always responded very quickly. Our tour guide was Michael and he was exceptional. Pick up at midday about 5 min walk from hotel and it was he who was our tour guide also (with radios and headphones). Whatsapp group set up to share info with us. Clear instructions throughout. I feel so sorry for the reviewer before us as it could have easily been us. It wasn’t but it is clear one must still tread carefully when booking with this company.

We booked a visit of Auschwitz with them and a few hours before the visit it got canceled saying due to political events. After contacting the company the truth came out and was all because they offered visits without official confirm from the Auschwitz memorial museum. They reimbursed the ticket but me and my family came all the way here for nothing since the only reason was visiting Auschwitz as we have been already in krakow.

Like you, I looked at reviews which were great on Tripadvisor but then saw the opposite here and I became worried. Well our experience today with our driver Jagoda and private guide Anna was wonderful. Jagoda met us at our hotel promptly at 6.10 and after reminding us to bring our passports, drove us to Auschwitz chatting and showing us a video to set the scene. On arrival, Jagoda got our tickets into Auschwitz, introduced us to Anna and we walked through all the crowds waiting straight to security and within minutes were walking into the entrance tunnel with our guide….amazing. Ann’s was incredibly informed and her quiet respectful narrative was emotive (as you would expect) but despite the busy environment she skilfully took us around both sites in a way that made it seem like we were alone. Jagoda was there to meet us as we left Auschwitz and got us swiftly to Birkenau where Anna once more guided us around the site, again avoiding the crowds so that we could take everything in at our own pace, answering all our questions. Thank you for this most important trip and cannot recommend enough the private car and private guide

​We did a combined trip to the Salt Mines and Auschwitz with Krakow Direct. It was a very full, demanding day, but absolutely worth it to see both.
​We started with the Salt Mines first, which was a great way to kick off the morning. Our driver, Lukasz, was excellent—really punctual and a very safe driver. We traveled in a minibus that was spotless and comfortable, which we really appreciated given how much ground we covered.
​Michael was our guide for both sites at Auschwitz (Auschwitz I and Birkenau). He was incredibly knowledgeable and handled the history with a lot of respect and detail. It made a huge difference having him lead us through both parts of the memorial; he kept everything moving perfectly without us ever feeling rushed.

About Auschwitz guided tour : mass tourism and big business are indecent. The tour operators just spoil the whole experience. It is high time that the Polish government imposes a limited number of visitors each day.

Os explico la mala experiencia que tuvimos mi pareja y yo con esta compañía. Reservamos un tour por Zakopane con motos de nieve y visita a las aguas termales. En los detalles de la descripción pone un único punto de recogida y que estuviéramos a las 8:05 allí. Llegamos puntuales y estábamos en el lugar a las 7:35 de la mañana, a 0 grados en Cracovia. Estuvimos esperando más de una hora y media a que pasaran a recogernos un minibus con las etiquetas de Kraków direct. Por allí pasaron decenas de autobuses y de mini bus y ninguno decía nuestros nombres, al llevar una hora y media en el lugar, decidimos llamar al proveedor y preguntar si había sucedido algo. La teleoperadora nos comenta que nuestra reserva estaba correcta y que iba a llamar al conductor para ver qué pasaba y después contactaría con nosotros. A los 10 minutos recibo la llamada de la teleoperadora y me comenta que el conductor le ha comentado que tenía el mini bus lleno y que no pasaba a buscarnos, sin previo aviso y sin notificar nada.
Si nosotros no hubiéramos llamado aún seguimos esperando. No recomendamos nada esta empresa porque no son nada serios y les da igual el dinero y tiempo de las personas.

Wish I had seen these reviews before making the mistake of booking them through booking.com for this excuse of a company to collect us from the airport !! Left us standing there and after an hour of waiting they said they had no one to send us .. shocking service !!

I booked a tour to Auschwitz with this company on TripAdvisor and am extremely disappointed because of the misleading title.
Despite claiming to provide a "tour," the company only provided transportation
and after paying so much money, we were not able to secure tickets. And they refused to refund us! Charging 37 pounds just for transport to Auschwitz and back, without even getting us into the museum, is simply a ripoff. The guides were just standing around doing nothing as we queued and queued just to realise we couldn't get in.
If you want to visit Auschwitz, you're better off taking the train there on your own in the early morning. Maybe your chances of getting in will be higher, and you only pay a fraction of the price

We booked through Krakow direct, called 1 day trip to Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt mines. We felt this is absolutely clear. However when the driver arrived 1 hour late. We were told we were only booked on the Salt Mines tour.
We travelled to Krakow, primarily to visit Auschwitz. Completely misleading .

We booked a tour from Krakow to Auschwitz with enlish guide. We waited 6,5 hour in the line to get entrance, then we got a polish guide and didn't understand a word.
KrakowDirect refuse to pay back our money. Avoid this company !!!!

Terrible. Worst tour operator ever. Don't book. Very unprofessional. Did not adhere to what was advertised. Do not book with them. They didn't even refund.

El precio solo incluye el transporte, es un timo.
Reservamos por 37€ por cabeza en Get Your Guide. Pones una hora y te dicen que no te la garantizan. Pusimos 7h y tuvimos que estar a las 5:15 de la mañana. Hasta aquí bueno.

Luego resulta que en su pagina en el “no incluido” solo pone la comida, así que das por hecho que incluye entradas, pero no. Hasta que no reservas no te pone (con una frase confusa) que no están incluidas las entradas. Pero en el anuncio pone Tour con guía y entradas. Pero ni entradas ni ellos te guían . También pone sin colas y SORPRESA, haces cola. Luego te dicen que el tour es en inglés y SOPRESA otra vez, resulta que no hay entradas y acabas haciendolo en POLACO para no perder el grupo. Salimos todos realmente cabreados. Un TIMO! Voy a ver como puedo reclamar.

DON'T TOUCH THESE TWO COMPANIES WITH A BARGE POLE. Prime Holidays together with Krakow Direct. They scam freely although they'll always be happy to steal your money. I booked with them via Prime Holidays. I strongly recommend avoiding both of these dishonest companies who took my money and failed to deliver. I gave them time to put things right but they failed. BEWARE!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 🤬🤬

I read a few reviews on here and got a bit spooked out! So I called them and they were great!

Soothed my nerves straight away and gave me detailed guidance on my trip to auswitz

Krakow Direct are a group of misleading scammers. The front page on get your guide.com advertising ticket and queue jump tickets. For only our driver to question whether we did have tickets. We rang up KrakowDirect, the lady on the line was dismissive and hung up on us without giving a clear explanation.

The whole advertisement is misleading and downright a scam.
Only once you have paid for your tickets will it show “Without Entry Ticket”.

In the drop down menus of additional information, it explains the tour - that you will have a guide, queue jump and the duration of the trip is 7 hours. All to lead you into believing you are booking a ticket. There is only one sentence that explains where tickets are not included.

Under what’s not included? Only food & drink unavailable. No mention of no admission ticket.

All in all it is a tourist trap. AVOID!

Travelled to Poland after booking our tour to Auschwitz with this company! Only reason to visit Poland was this tour.
Booked, paid and confirmed a month in advance only to find out upon arrival in Poland this company had not booked our tickets at all. Was made to queue for 3 hours to not gain entry to Auschwitz.
Paid €336.00 for pick up, no queues!!!
Extremely frustrating and disappointing!!!
After several phone calls to the office and emails we still have no response or communication from this company.
After looking into this and speaking with the lovely locals of Poland, this happens again and again via this company.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Plus the taxi fares are more than double you’d pay from any other local company including uber.

I booked private transfer for just the 3 off us, from my accommodation at 7am. The previous evening I was emailed to say pick up had changed to 5am with no explanation as to why. I eventually managed to find a contact number and spoke to someone who more or less said it's the only slot now available, take it or leave it. Obviously I had to accept it but then I ended up being picked up by minibus and taken to a large coach. This is not what I paid for.
I am trying to get confirmation from Krakow Direct that I booked private transfer but this is not forthcoming.
I spoke to someone on the tour and they had also had a similar experience but we're picked up at 4am and then had to sit on the coach for nearly 2 hours and wait for Auschwitz to open!
Apparently, (according to an open and honest tour guide), the reason you have to get there early is because at the point of arrival, although you have technically paid for it, you don't actually have a ticket. Auschwitz only allow so many bulk coach tours in one day, hence getting there early doors means your guide is guaranteed to get your tickets.
There's a feeling of something underhand here and I would take the advice offered by this guide, which was book direct with Auschwitz yourself and arrange an Uber. Don't worry about having a guide, there's plenty of detailed information and signposts to guide you through at your own pace.
Basically - avoid this company when booking a tour.

Absolutely outrageous experience with Krakow Direct through GetYourGuide.

We booked a tour to Auschwitz thinking we had real skip-the-line tickets — exactly as advertised. Then, only the day before, they suddenly informed us that tickets were “not guaranteed”.

We showed up at 6:30 a.m., left early, and arrived around 8:00–8:30 a.m. — only to be told there were no tickets left. The entire bus agreed — we’d been fooled. Everyone thought we had a proper guided visit, not just a transfer.

And what did we get for €37 each?
👉 Just a bus ride, nothing more.
👉 No entry, no guide, no assistance.
👉 Told to wait until 6:45 p.m. for the return bus — that’s over 10 hours doing absolutely nothing — unless we paid extra for a train back to Krakow.

The guide couldn’t care less. No empathy, no help, no responsibility — just “Too bad.”

And if you’re “lucky” enough to get a free last-minute ticket yourself? They don’t even compensate you by giving the audio guide or the promised booklet included in the tour. Nothing at all.

We came all the way to visit Auschwitz — and ended up standing in front of it, unable to enter, watching others go in. It was humiliating. There are buses for under €5, yet we paid €37 just to be stranded in front of one of the most meaningful historical sites in Europe.

Do NOT book with Krakow Direct.
They mislead customers, offer no real service, and show zero respect for visitors. A complete scam and an absolute disgrace.
