I used to enjoy La Colombe Corsica a lot. But I bought a bag of whole bean recently. I grind my beans fresh everyday. No matter how coarse the grind was, I couldn't get it to taste great. It tasted very stale, much like those bulk coffees you find in the grocery that sit in unsealed vats for months. I can't justify paying $17.50 per pound for barely adequate coffee. The company used to be an independent coffee roaster, but in 2023 La Colombe was bought out by a much larger national company. I suspect, and this is only a guess, that because the taste is so flat and stale, that quality control standards have slipped.

I've been a loyal customer for several years, switched to ordering online during Covid. The free shipping is a good deal and I usually search around for a 15% off coupon. It would be nice to order in advance with the discount, they don't seem to allow this on the subscription coffee packages. Otherwise it's great.

I’ve been drinking La Colombe for approx ten years. Have not tried a blend that I didn’t like. My favorites are Nizza, Corsica and Decaf Monte Carlo. I occasionally order online and the coffee is always shipped promptly and arrives within days. I only had an issue once where not everything I ordered was delivered. I reached out to customer service and got a reply and resolution within the hour. Terrific customer service.
