Threw a cigarette butt on the ground the first day I arrived in London, immediate fine of 100$. Tried to make a complain but all of the instances ignored my messages. Tried to pay the fine, (I am from the Netherlands) all I get are errors due to invalid information) information which was 'invalid' because my postcode is based in The Netherlands and is seen as fake. Because I've been unable to pay the fine it now has gone up to 150 pounds. Absolutely terrible way of governing. Glad yall left the Union.

Hi, I called Lambeth on 24/11/2021 when I notice my bin had not being collected as this was collection day. I was told if it was not collected by the next by 1pm call back. 7 calls later and today is Monday my bin is sitting outside full.

I like in a Lambeth estate and pay £14 a week to park in an allocated bay in an estate garage. Since all parking permits have gone digital at the start of covid, we no longer display a paper permit and therefore it is difficult to remember when the permit expires hence I have been given a parking ticket at £65 for parking in my own bay- yes the permit has expired but I am still paying my £14 a week garage rent. I cannot find for the life of me the website where I can renew my permit - Lambeth website is a nightmare to navigate and I have no idea how to renew my permit online. In the meantime I am still paying my parking rent yet I get fined. How do I renew my permit? The website does not direct me to my rent account.

Since 27 April 2021, my elderly parents have been without a working sink and washing machine, due to a blockage in the communal pipework that directly affects my parents kitchen.

My mother does the washing up in a bowl, and when finished and has to empty the dirty water into a bucket, which she then has to empty down the toilet. She is 87 and riddled with arthritis, but Lambeth Council doesn't care about the elderly.

I have complained numerous times, even to the local Councillor, but it doesn't appear to make any difference, they are quick to take your money, but unfortunately not quick to respond when you need the services that you are paying for.

Today, we had actually had a plumber call. Unfortunately he was not the right person for the job, as what we require is a drainage plumber which requires specialist tools. He said he would report the job to the correct department, but I'm not holding my breath.

they force people to pay pcn which is very poor signing and the traffic warden hiding waiting for you to move and then issue a ticket for you. your suppose to let you know you cant park here. specially disabled people sometimes are in a hurry and you didnt see a sign and the traffic warden is there. they should atleast inform you. for me there is no diference between people who steal money in the bus (pickpocket) the only difference is that the pcn of lambeth got the licence

Telephone do get answered for over an hour to report emergency Repairs and contractors are incapable of doing the job when they are eventually come out

This council is non existent you can never get to talk to anyone on the phone, the wait is extremely unacceptable they don’t answer emails they cancel repair orders without letting the tenant know it’s like they couldn’t care less about their tenants wish I had the money to buy a property definitely wouldn’t be in Lambeth I’ve lived in the borough 54 years have never known Lambeth to be so bad

I’ve lived in several London Boroughs and Lambeth is by far the worst.
They do whatever they want, whenever they want with complete disregard for what their inhabitants actually want.
They look after the areas their councillors live in to the detriment of the wider, and less wealthy residents.
Next time I move I will definitely be heading out of Lambeth!!

Absolutely useless, I received a PCN on the 12/10/21 however Lambeth Council had managed to identify the incident as taking place on a Band A road when it in fact took place on a Band B road (Slater's Hill). This ultimately increased the penalty from £110 to £130, the staff are either too lazy to identify where incidents actually occur so just class it as happening on a Band A road or they're just too dim to use a map & identify whether a road is classed as a Band A road or a Band B road. Absolutely appalled with Lambeth council & have nothing good to say about them as i'm sure the majority of people who have had to deal with them would agree with what i've said.

If I could score Lambeth Council a zero, I would. Their housing scheme is a scam, they never offer housing to young working people aged 30+ Everyday it's lame excuses and stupid policies. Looking over their own, helping those who already have roofs over their heads. There are genuine young people who are sleeping on the sofas and floors of friends/relatives homes. Lambeth doesn't understand that this is having an effect on the mental and social wellbeing of these young people. They need to stop offering homeless accommodation for recovering drug addicts to working young people! IT’S DEPRESSING!! For crying out loud, I am appalled!!

1st time in i was passing by waterloo station and due to train cancellation i had to wait for uber at station and been issued with fpn for cigarette butt.!!!!! And can't even go for appeal. How do i suppose to know all the council rules when i don't even live here. This is f ridiculous!!! Worst council in London.

Positively the worst council for repairs and housing in general. I used to live in Southwark and some of my family and friends still do. Ever since I moved to Lambeth I’ve wanted to cry my eyes out nearly every time there’s been a repair. This time I’ve been waiting for my kitchen sink to be unblocked for 5 days. I can’t cook, can’t wash or wipe anything and can’t use my washing machine. I have stinky rancid water in my sink and my washing machine is about to rust out… do they care?? Not at all.

I have a vulnerable person in the house so Lambeth are meant to fix it within a day… but no, every day is a different excuse. Today I waited 40 mins to get through for a repair that should already be in the system and contractors should be calling me about but of course, I had to call them and when I got through there were problems on the line and we got cut off. Despite checking my contact details every day since Friday they haven’t bothered to call me back. So that means I have to clog up the lines and wait for another 40 mins to get through to them. Just beyond ridiculous that they can’t get the basics of customer service right.

Final statement for council tax paid takes forever.

I moved out weeks ago and require a final statement to have my security deposit sent back, I've called three times now to have my final bill send out every time I have a rude person on the end of the line giving as little information as possible, the time lines for any document is 3-5 working days to be posted out however it always takes longer, they really need to g into the 21st century and use paperless options for documents requested.

If I could give it none star I would,my hot water and heating is down ,the person who answering the phone for repairs is very rude ,discriminating ,they don't care if you have kids ..service is very poor

Fined £100 for dropping a cigarette butt in the kerb as there were no bins around. Saw the Enforcement Officers loitering by the station as I came out and they have obviously targeted and followed me seeing me light a cigarette. Have never been in trouble before in my life and yet words of advice were not an option. Would have fared better being stopped by the police. I understand littering is wrong and accept punishment but even Government website states £80 FPN for littering. Lambeth are clearly trying to make a quick buck by targeting people who are not responsible for the mass flytipping, graffitti and ASB in the area. Does not make me respect this council or the Enforcement Officers one tiny bit.

If I could give Lambeth Council zero stars I would I have pretty much had to refurbish my entire flat myself due to the pool state that it was given to me in I never ever call Lambeth for repairs because the engineers simply do not turn up I have reported damp and mould in my bathroom for almost a year now and I have been ignored I believe there is a leak coming from the property above my neighbours have been waiting in for engineers for a very long time for them to try and source this leak because it’s causing damp mould in the bathroom and now it has spread to my hallway .Every time I call I keep on getting fobbed off and I’m fed up of it So much that now I am being forced to get solicitors involved because the Lambeth council is taking the p!!!&@ . I have been waiting months upon months for an engineer to call me to make an appointment to actually clean and clear the damp and mould of all my walls my hallway wall is literally wet and there’s nothing I can do to stop it despite me ventilating my entire flat I have plenty of windows and I make use of them and nothing is helping so clearly there is water coming from somewhere but they can’t be bothered to come and fix it I’m sick and tired of Lambeth repairs team !!!! It has gotten to the point where it is severely affecting my asthma and my mental state I’ve actually grown to hate where I live because of such a simple thing that could’ve been resolved ages ago they just do not care about their residents all they care about is taking money off us we pay our rent and at the very least for them to do a job in their own properties is not too much to ask !!!! There are a lot of residents that do not care about their property and treat it like crap but I can honestly say that I’ve put a lot of money into this flat to bring up to standard because the council couldn’t be bothered to do so so for me to ask them to come out to do a simple job that I can’t rectify myself is very frustrating I’m basically just being ignored because they don’t give a s&@t !!!!!

Awful, awful service from the Lambeth Council whenever we have had to contact them. Most recent experience was with their bulky waste collection team - despite paying a not insignificant sum to schedule collection and breaking our backs dismantling and moving large items out the night before, many weeks on the items still have not been collected. And to think of the hundreds of pounds we pay every single month to contribute towards 'local services'. Absolute joke of a council. Luckily we are moving out of the borough very soon and are going to celebrate with a drink or three at our leaving do - and the council is most definitely NOT invited.

Received a PCN notice for dropping a cigarette butt. This is not the issue and I accepted I was responsible. But when I work mornings the area is full of trash. You really ought to prioritise when and where you place your enforcement officers. It seems throwing larger trash in the evenings everywhere is ok. Instead you target smokers only. Useless council.

Lambeth council you need to realy take a good look at the way you treat your tenants , its an absolute disgrace, try to get repairs done is a thing of the past and as for getting a hold of someone to ask for repairs it a joke my wife has spent hours and hours just ringing up because you don't show up to do repairs then we have to chase you constantly which is a nightmare itself , you realy havent got any idea how much stress you but on people at all cus you just dont give a toss , IF YOU NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR JOB STEP ASIDE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE DO IT .

We have been living in Lambeth for 8 years now. Unfortunately, we have been made homeless after our private renting landlord told us he has to demolish his property. Its been nearly three years we have been in different temporary accommodations and I wanted to say how awful, horrible, and rude some of the housing officers arez especially those in the placement team. I had no idea how for all these years they have kept their jobs with their aggressive, rude, discriminatory behaviour. But now after making a complaint and getting a reply from Lambeth, I have now realised they are all one team. From the housing officers ro managers to the directors to the councillors, they are all on the same page. Look at you as if you are inferior to them and play around with you just the way they want.
