Leaders - Hedge End Opiniões 

Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Leaders Hedge End.

Our tenancy ended with a dispute that, in my view, was handled poorly and inefficiently from start to finish. Despite the matter arising at checkout, it took approximately four months for the dispute process to progress to a resolution. During that period, I frequently had to chase for updates, responses, and action, often by both email and telephone. Communication was inconsistent, and I was regularly left feeling that progress was only made when I actively pursued the matter myself.

One of the most frustrating aspects was the financial impact. The prolonged delays appeared to unnecessarily extend the process, and I do not feel that reasonable steps were taken to address concerns promptly or minimise the costs involved. As a result, we were left significantly out of pocket. We also found ourselves being held responsible for issues that we strongly disputed and did not believe were supported by the evidence available. Despite raising our concerns and providing information throughout the process, we did not feel that our position was given appropriate consideration.

I was also disappointed by what I considered to be a lack of ownership and attention to detail by staff at the branch. On numerous occasions, I found myself having to repeatedly follow up on matters that should, in my opinion, have been managed proactively. This created additional stress and left me with little confidence that our concerns were being handled efficiently.

Another longstanding issue involved a Leaders "Let" board that remained displayed at the property throughout the entire tenancy. We requested its removal on multiple occasions by both email and telephone, yet the board remained in place until the end of our tenancy. When this was raised, we were advised that the board could remain there for as long as the company wished. Regardless of the reasoning provided, we found it unreasonable that repeated requests for its removal were not acted upon and their response was not in alignment with legislation.

Overall, this experience was unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming, and financially damaging. The combination of prolonged delays, poor communication, the need for constant chasing, and an outcome that we did not consider fair has left me with very little confidence in the service provided by this branch.

Whilst others may have had a different experience, based on our own dealings with Leaders Hedge End, we would not choose to use their services again and would encourage prospective customers to carefully consider their options before proceeding unless you like to be left out of pocket and do their admin work yourself.

I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Leaders to read the terms and conditions very carefully and proceed with caution.

My experience as a tenant was extremely disappointing and caused me a tremendous amount of stress, to the point that it affected my health. There were numerous administrative errors at the end of my tenancy, and I spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to correct mistakes that should never have happened in the first place.

I paid monthly fees for the deposit replacement scheme throughout my tenancy, only to discover that it offered virtually no benefit whatsoever at the end of the tenancy. This was never explained. Despite leaving the property in an excellent condition and carrying out a thorough deep clean, I was still charged for professional cleaning.

I also left the property a couple of months before the end of the tenancy. Although a new tenant was found the day after I gave notice, meaning the property did not need to be advertised or remain vacant, I was still charged £899.

In total, I was charged more than £1,100 at the end of the tenancy, despite having already paid almost £2,000 into the deposit replacement scheme over the course of the tenancy, money that I never recovered and from which I saw no benefit.

To make matters worse, further administrative errors resulted in my landlady and guarantor being informed that I had failed to pay rent when, in fact, I had paid the amount due. This was both embarrassing and completely unacceptable.

Based on my experience, tenants are not treated fairly, communication is extremely poor, and mistakes can have serious financial consequences. I would encourage prospective tenants to be extremely careful and ensure they fully understand every charge before signing anything. The estate agents need to learn from this massive failing and improve things going forward.

Lauren at Hedge End, once again, provided outstanding communication and dealt with my queries promptly and professionally.

The staff went out of their way to find me something suitable in times of need. The process couldn't be smoother and thanks to them I got somewhere awesome for my kids and I after my marriage breaking down.

As tenants, our experience over the past two years has been exceedingly disappointing. During our lease, we encountered a serious third-party incident that rendered the property uninhabitable. Unfortunately, Leaders provided no assistance in addressing this critical situation, despite the fact that I was living there with a young child.

Upon moving out, we were unjustly faced with claims against our entire deposit, which included charges for cleaning (despite using a cleaning service recommended by Leaders), garden maintenance (conducted by a professional gardener just two days before our departure), and an increase in insurance premiums for which there were no relevant regulations supported on this claim. These claims appeared to be an unnecessary attempt to withhold our deposit.

We formally contested these claims and made numerous attempts to initiate negotiations via email, but Leaders consistently refused to engage. Ultimately, we were compelled to escalate the matter to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS), where we resolved the issue by paying only £250 to the landlord. This process took two months and highlighted Leaders' unprofessional handling of the situation.

I cannot recommend Leaders based on this experience.

We had Craig visit our property to value this for probate purposes and felt he was amiable and helpful. 10 months later we were ready to put the house on the market and visited Leaders, where we saw Craig. We were impressed that he remembered us and the address of our property and how much he quoted us 10 months ago. We are just starting our journey selling this property but things are moving quickly and efficiently.

Craig at the Hedge End branch was brilliant and dealt with everything promptly, made for an unusually speedy and relatively enjoyable house purchase.

I am eternally grateful to the team at Hedge End for the incredible job they did getting loads of viewings through the door, and never losing focus when limited offers were made (due mostly to the restrictions of the Leasehold agreement). They were tireless in their efforts to get me the best possible price and see the job through to completion. Well done guys. Fantastic job!
