The Problems:
Bot applications flooding our system (a basic security issue that should be core functionality in 2026)
LinkedIn links generating incorrectly
Pipeline numbers reflecting inaccurately
Search features broken
Multiple technical issues with no resolution timeline
The Response:
When we raised these concerns, Lever's solution was to try to upsell us on paid add-ons rather than fix the core product we're already paying for. We shouldn't have to pay extra to make our ATS actually functional.
The Timeline:
Jan 22: Initial outreach about issues
Jan 27: Escalated to management after no substantive response
Jan 29: Told we'd be connected with Customer Success Team
Feb 3: Still no contact from anyone, just more promises of "I'll follow up"
These aren't premium feature requests - we're asking for the basic, secure, functional applicant tracking system we contracted for. Every competitor we've spoken with has bot mitigation built into their core product.
Bottom line: Lever has sold us a flawed product and provided inadequate support when we've raised legitimate concerns about fundamental functionality. These issues are directly impacting our hiring operations and bottom line. If you're evaluating ATS platforms, seriously consider other options.

Terrible Company No support and CANNOT CONNECT WITH INDEED as promised in contract and terms and conditions. I submitted 4 cases to try and resolve with no response. They get you to sign the agreement and then leave you to figure it out yourself. DO NOT WORK WITH
Lever is awful. After using it for over 3 years, I can firmly sy that it is the worst thing I have ever used and it has only gotten worse.
Visual Insights is a failure - I cannot pull accurate data reports, and have spent hours trying to do so. Even something as simple as seeing how many interviews have happened in a quarter was impossible to pull, as three reports gave me three different numbers!
Automation is a joke. Half of the automation settings we created did not work and left my team doing more and more manual work. Even trying to use the easybook links became an issue as they kept being cancelled by lever/ not syncing to diaries, and the support team offered no help in resolving.
I would not waste your money on this poorly performing ATS
I sold my motorcycle to the Superbike Factory everything done over telephone with no hassle .
The day of pick up the driver gives you an estimated time of arrival then a message when your fifteen minutes away.
A check over bike do paperwork then wait on money transferring into bank and thats it .
Have used dealer before without any problems . As long as your honest with your description of bike you get what they offer you .
If you tell lies you will get a reduced over .
Lever is a good solid product.
Ease of use.
Fairly intuitive.
We are able to complete tasks quicker.
Posting jobs has been very efficient and easy to track in one place.
Ally Nguyen and Tom Marino have been great to work with, making the transition as seamless as possible. They have given us consistent support and assistance in guiding us through the process, and customizing it to our needs
Our implementation team was amazing. Set up was easy to follow and any time we had questions they were quick to respond.
The support staff, the training, the ease of use, collaboration the tool offers, and the integration of email and calendaring
Extremely basic ATS - reporting functionality is poor, non-intuitive for hiring managers. Auto-renew with zero notice despite informing in writing with 27 days notice we no longer wish to use the platform. Refusing to provide any flexibility. There are considerably better platforms out there for the cost with much better customer service.
We've been using Lever as our ATS, and it’s been a game-changer for our hiring process. The platform is intuitive, easy to navigate, and has significantly improved collaboration across our team. From sourcing to scheduling, everything is streamlined. Highly recommend it for growing teams looking to scale their recruiting efforts efficiently.
Working with Tom on the implementation of our new system was a great experience. He led the project with clarity, organization, and consistent support. Tom kept everything on track, communicated effectively, and made sure the team felt informed and involved at every step.

Constant support from Lever team especially Tom throughout implementation phase . Tom was very prompt and always willing to support and find soultions.
Staying here as I leave the review. Just fantastic it's my wife 70th, and they have made are stay special. Birthday balloons in the room and half a bottle of champagne on ice brought to us very nice staff everywhere helpful and smiling. Not a bad word to leave. We have stayed in top London hotels and this is better. Colin and Susan Holliday.
Features are barely OK. The automation workflows could be improved. the emails are sent from lever.co and not from the recruiter who owns the "opportunity", which is what would save time, if not it's not a personalized approach.
CX team is very disappointing. They've never handled an issue with the time and care needed.
I've got emails after final interviews failing. Candidates reached out 1 month later asking for feedback and when I go to their profile the email was never sent (it stays on "sending"). worst candidate experience ever.
What we appreciated most about Lever is its flexibility in data and privacy management, adapting well to the specific requirements of different countries. However, the unified pipeline presents challenges, as it forces us to include certain steps only relevant in specific regions. This setup requires HR to manually manage candidate movement through each stage, as delegating this to hiring managers could lead to confusion with steps unique to certain countries, potentially complicating the hiring process.
Trusted pilot reviews are not to be trusted at all. Last year I brought 200 Ome slimline cigarettes at the Gatwick for £52.00 which have arrived in the UK with taxes etc for that price. Then I started to use Bull Brand to get them but I had also been to Majorca and brought them for £25.00 for 200 cigarettes. Plus at the airport leaving the UK for £52.00. They cost me £13.45 a packet for 20 cigarettes. I have seen my receipts and I know that they are taking the absolute piss out of us. So I will not be ordering from them again. They are as bad as the Government and you should avoid them at all cost because they get them much cheaper. Come on UK wise UP......
Tom was an excellent resource for becoming a pro in Lever. There wasn't a single time where he did not have an answer for when my team and I had questions about the product.
He was also highly accommodating when we needed to move schedules around, and ensures we got through our implementation plan in a timely, reasonable manner.
The tool is good overall but still have some problematic UX issues.
* Candidate search half of the time returns nothing, half of the time works (for the same candidate).
* Loading and filtering candidates is very slow
* Candidate interface is quite cluttered and it's often hard to find what you are looking for (interviews, emails, notes, timelilne...)
Implementation did not take long at all and so a stress-free process! Working with Tom Marino was fantastic, he is so knowledgeable and service oriented. The product itself is easy to use and train others and the reporting functions are great.
We're absolutely loving Lever! It's made a world of difference in how we manage our recruitment process. The user-friendly interface and helpful support team have made the transition super smooth (especially Tom, who went above & beyond to help us navigate through challenges and make this transition possible!). The functionality is great and it allows us and out stakeholders to have a unique experience. The main reason as to why we decided to transition was the need for us to have a solid CRM in place, talent insights and ability to customise ATS's functionality to suit our needs. With Lever we have all of that and I don't think we will be ever looking back as we re already seeing the benefits.
