Lift started in 2010 as a family-run shop in Puerto Rico. In 2015, co-founder Nick Leason — an engineer and lifelong surfer — designed the original eFoil, adapting technology from smartphones, electric vehicles, and drones into a board that flies above the water without needing wind or waves. Lift shipped its first commercial eFoil, the LIFT1, in 2018, and has released five eFoil generations since, leading up to today's LIFT5 and LIFTX.
Every Lift eFoil is built around the Lift Connect System (LCS) & a tool-free, click-and-lock setup that lets riders swap masts, propulsion units, wings, and batteries in seconds, no tools required. The people and communications were amazing. I do want to say that the battery was very very, very pricey and and unfortunately, I do understand the actual price of these batteries, which is nowhere close to the retail. I would assume you guys will adjust accordingly to make consumer demands and compete with competitors that weren’t on the market when you first started.

It took four business days for Lift to respond to the request form I filled out online. I left my cell phone number when I completed the form. Four days for a product as expensive as a Lift is very disappointing.

Hi Craig, you're right 4 business days is far too long. We've been taking actions to make sure this isn't happening but our small team can still get overwhelmed quickly. We've just launched our new support site ( https://support.liftfoils.com/ ) that allows you to check your order, file a support issue, get quick questions answered, and get in touch with a support staff. We've also brought on addition agents to help with the volume.

Pro's and Cons.
Con's:
Overpriced product.
Wings are not stiff enough.
Too many bolts and screws and no straps.
Lacks clear description on wings and use... Way to generic.

Hi Doug, thank you for sharing with the community. We know that our foil side of the business has been a bit behind but we are quickly recovering ground with new wings like the Vario, and update on our HA line.
We've also got some exciting developments for 2027 and have started to improve our site with more information on wings.

Ready to fly in 5
I can’t imagine taking 30 minutes to set up and tear down my E foil before and after a ride.
I can offload my e-foil get it put together have it at the beach walk back to my car grab my battery plug it in pair my remote all within 5 minutes with no exaggeration.
Without the battery, my Lift 5 Sport is very light and easy to Carry. I prefer to walk back to my car to grab the battery and off I go.
The breakdown is just as simple, easy and fast. This is my first e-foil and I’m not sure that I would’ve purchased an e-foil if I had to go through what I’ve seen other people deal with as far as set up and tear down.
As far as ease of riding and stability, I think it’s awesome.
