Poor customer service / aftercare
I’m disappointed with both the product and the customer service from Lime Wash UK.
I purchased one of their brushes (£18.99) to use with their paint, but it shed excessively during normal use — around 30 bristles in just a 2m x 1m test area.
… I fully understand that new brushes can shed slightly at first, but this was far beyond what I would reasonably expect, especially at this price point.
I contacted the company to raise the issue, as the shedding has affected my ability to apply the paint properly.
Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful. I was told shedding is “normal” and the conversation kept being redirected to wall preparation, which is irrelevant to bristles falling out of a brush.
I was then told I could return the brush if I believed it was faulty — only to later be told I couldn’t return it because it had been used. That contradiction speaks for itself. You cannot identify a faulty brush without using it.
More disappointing than the product itself was the tone and handling of the situation. A simple acknowledgement of the concern and a more constructive approach would have made a big difference and I’ve been left with no resolution and a £18.99 brush that doesn’t work like a brush.
**my last message was simply left without any response from the company** which gave me no choice to prompt a review.
Having since looked at other reviews, it seems I’m not alone in experiencing this type of response when raising a genuine concern.
Based on my experience, I would be cautious about both the product quality and the aftercare.
