Yes - I understand that breaking my phone and not being able to enter the line account is not your problem.
But why there is no option to reset/delete my account through email/phone number verification - your support is diabolical and outdated. You’ve exposed a system overrun with ghost accounts, risking a catastrophic failure.

I hate this app. If you want to transfer to a new device, forget it. They will send you round in an endless loop utill you start to question your own sanity. WhatsApp is five star. Why use LINE?

Complete garbage app. The account recovery process is not possible and their company doesn't provide any support for doing so.
If you plan to use this app, create a random email address every time you want to open it up and create a new account every time. Write down your contacts haha

A friend of mine, that I know from real life, asked me to send her a copy of her physical address, so that she could always see the right address format.
That message was blocked by LINE, and I have not been able to send ONE message since then. So LINE most be the worst messaging app I have experienced!

This company is abusing its monopoly. The mobile app chat is really awfull, and require an overhaul update. In all aspect, others chat app are better.
Key missing features:
- mark as unread
- chat encryption by default (if only one person in a chat group has not enable the feature the chat will not be encrypted, most of user ignore this feature need to be enable manually)
- custom chat retention period (currently chat are almost kept for ever on their server)
- admin features for chat group (instead of Open LINE full of adds)
- custom chat folders (only available in desktop version)
- scheduled message
- disable files expiration

For those confused about being banned
For those confused about being banned - you can't use line messages outside Japan, Taiwan and Korea. As soon as you insert a SIM card from another country your line account will be bricked. Yes it is an awful piece of software. Yes customer service is non existent. Yes documentation is confusing and lacking. Why are you still using line? Places like Taiwan are still using fax machines. It's like a horse and carriage. Do you want to live in the past and use extremely old software? Just move on and use progressive and modern apps.
I was using line for a while
I was using line for a while. Until I was unexplainably blocked. I know I was in conversation with a friend from Japan. I don't think she would have blocked me. But who knows. All I know that one day I was completely blocked from sending any messages and make any calls. Furthermore when I first got the app I had trouble establishing my account with it. Now I've been trying to delete my account. And ask line to delete my account. All they did was give me a story that I need to provide documentation. I asked him what were they referring to? But they never responded to me about the documentation. I was not even aware that there was supposed to be documentation. It's just some silly app that you use for social. It's a bit of disappointment. But I think basically this app is for people who live in Asia not for the rest of the world. Sad to think that. But it's the truth. And after my experiences with the app it is the truth
Rubbish service
I find it strange, they suspend a user from sending messages because it violated the terms of agreement.... but you cannot tell the user why ?, kind of defeats the purpose, of stopping the users from doing the same action again. ?? what makes things worse is people are sending you messages you cannot respond to tell them what's going on, and there's nothing that flags up to people to tell them why you cannot respond. A very poor system to be honest. because of the suspension I'm losing friends

The worst piece of software I have ever used
I have no choice but to use Line, because it is the default app for almost everything in Taiwan: employers, universities, friends. I can say from being forced to use it for five years that it is the worst single piece of software I've ever used, in terms of design, stability, usability, customer service, pricing, and basically anything else you could evaluate an app on.
For years I've hated the interface and how difficult (or sometimes impossible) it is to use the same account on multiple devices, how chats need to be manually backed up and are extremely difficult to transfer between mobile and PC. I've hated the extortionate prices of stickers and how once free stickers switch to being paid products.
But in the last month, the app has actually seriously impacted my life. When my old phone went dead suddenly, I was completely unable to transfer my account to my new phone, because I was sent in a loop that required me to use my old, bricked phone to verify my login. I jumped through hoops for days before getting back access to my account, all the while unable to see messages from my employer and teachers. Those messages aren't backed up on the cloud, so I had to check with everyone what if anything they sent me during that time.
It somehow got worse when I discovered someone (presumably a scammer) made an account using a different phone number of mine (not the one my actual line account is registered to. This is actually a very common issue in Taiwan and a key method scammers use. But after over a month of sending messages back and forth between online customer service, who didn't understand my problem no matter what language I used, I'm still stuck with someone using my phone number illegally and no solution.
I would love to just delete Line and never use it again, but life doesn't allow it. Please, Taiwan: stop using Line, at least for important information. That's what email is for.
