Bij de Seat & Sofa-winkel staat in het boekingsformulier dat de bezorgkosten €120 zijn tot aan de deur en €150 voor levering naar binnen. In mijn geval klopte dat niet; de uiteindelijke kosten liepen op tot bijna €300. Dat vind ik misleidend. Afspraken worden niet nagekomen en telefonisch zijn ze vaak niet bereikbaar. Ik raad aan om niet voor deze bezorger te kiezen en online een andere bezorgservice te zoeken. Vaak zijn die goedkoper en betrouwbaarder.

Vandaag werd mijn bank van Seats and Sofas geleverd door LMD BV. Ondanks dat het een enorme uitdaging was om de bank door mijn kleine woonkamer deur te krijgen, hebben deze heren zich met ontzettend veel inzet en geduld ingezet om het toch voor elkaar te krijgen.

Het was bovendien bloedheet buiten, maar daar lieten ze zich niet door tegenhouden. Ze bleven vriendelijk, professioneel en dachten voortdurend mee om een oplossing te vinden. Uiteindelijk is het dankzij hun doorzettingsvermogen toch gelukt.

Achteraf moet ik eerlijk zeggen dat dit mijn eigen fout was, omdat ik de afmetingen van de deur niet goed had opgemeten. Desondanks hebben deze heren er alles aan gedaan om mij te helpen.

Een groot compliment voor hun harde werk, klantvriendelijkheid en professionaliteit. Medewerkers zoals Mo en Amar maken echt het verschil. Bedankt voor de geweldige service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

LMD bracht een bank terug die ze voor Seats and Sofa's eerder opgehaald hadden en die "hersteld" was. Bij bezorging vroeg de bezorger Devon of ik op een klein scherm wilde tekenen. Toen ik gevraagd heb, waarvoor ik nu tekende, heeft hij gezegd dat dit voor ontvangst was en dat het was om aan te geven dat er geen schade aan de bank was door het vervoer. Verder heeft hij niets gezegd of uitgelegd. Hij heeft slechts 2 kleine schermpjes laten zien, waar ik een paraaf heb gezet bij het kopje dat "de bank en herstelplek schadevrij zijn achter gelaten" en "akkoord klant.
Na opvragen van een kopie van de ontvangstbevestiging, blijkt er ineens een heel formulier aan vast te zitten, wat ze je niet laten lezen op het kleine scherm dat ze je laten tekenen. Nu zou ik ineens getekend hebben dat de klacht van Seats and Sofa's opgelost zouden zijn en dat er 0 maanden garantie zit op de reparatie.
Dit is pure misleiding door het bewust achterhouden van de informatie over de volledige inhoud van het formulier en iemand voor dingen te laten tekenen waar de persoon niets vanaf weet.
Dit vind ik een schandalige werkwijze. De bezorger had gezegd dat LMD een onafhankelijke vervoerder zijn, maar de kopie blijkt van Holland Meubel Repair?

My first time in LMD, definitely my last! Most unfriendly, uncaring member of staff on yesterday 7th August, I was going to purchase a number of items, but as the assistant was so uninterested why would I! a smile sometimes help too!

Oplichters! Nooit goed bereikbaar en vervolgens sturen ze makkelijk een betalingsverzoek heel raar , sorry ga nooit meer bellen en vraag stellen anders ontvang ik gelijk wen betalingsverzoek…..

I was employed by them but doing Covid lockdown we were on furlough for 18 months, all this time pensions payments were taken from our pay but never paid into a pension fund, a total of over 3k was taken from me alone and over 30 other employees were paying the same, our sceme provider, Aviva, did report to the pensions regulator when the first payments had not been received then they informed me the scheme had been closed down by James Gold, he never opened another scheme but continued to take payments, I have reported to the Pensions Regulator and the Pensions Ombudsman but have been told there is little they can do now that LMD has gone into liquidation

His RICS disciplinary finding including details of his expulsion, fine and award of costs to RICS can be found on the RICS website.

Google James Gold and RICS. He has been expelled and ordered to pay fines and damages. This is a very strong sanction by RICS standards. Take heed.

For anyone interested in engaging in work with any company owned by James Gold (LMD (London) included) a few undeniable facts:

1. James Gold and his (ex-)company Landmark Lofts were suspended by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors last year. The professional body is now proceeding with a full disciplinary hearing against him in order to strip him of membership following numerous complaints and a detailed investigation.
2. In addition to Landmark Lofts, James Gold has been a Director of over ten other Limited companies, all now dissolved.
3. James Gold associated companies have had numerous County Court judgements against them.
4. Landmark Lofts, which many people lost tens of thousands of pounds, eventually was wound up in 2019. In the process of winding up the company, James Gold failed to even pay the insolvency firm engaged in the original liquidation process.
5. James Gold lives in a £1.5m+ property in London owned by a company registered in the Isle of Man, with the sole shareholder one Roza Gold, his mother.

Please, if you are considering entering into any sort of contract with James Alexander Gold, if you are thinking of working with him, or if you are thinking of working for him ... review online comments from past customers, do research yourself on his directorships and failed companies, look into Varsity Education Ltd, contact past victims, ... and then make your own, informed decision.

Do not contract with this company before you check out their previous history when they traded as Landmark Group with various company names - Landmark Modular, Landmark Lofts. They have
left a number of people out of pocket with unfinished work and poor workmanship.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
LMD is the new trading company for James Gold, replacing his other businesses under the 'Landmark' name.
Last year I contracted with Landmark Lofts for a modular loft conversion, and paid an £11K deposit. One week after signing, they decided they couldn't deliver the project for the agreed price, and so the contract was cancelled by mutual agreement.
Nearly 12 months later, I have never received the deposit back - so I am down £11K for ZERO activity. I chased, called, emailed - eventually Mr Gold told me to stop calling. The money that was supposed to have been held in a client trust account has disappeared, and Landmark Lofts has finally ceased trading - but not before causing financial hardship to many more customers, suppliers, and employees.
The company began liquidation proceedings late 2018, but have not progressed. In my OPINION fraud has taken place, and I would NOT trust this company or any other companies associated with Mr Gold with your money.

Avoid this company at all costs. They use aggressive marketing tactics to trick people in to signing with them. They are manipulative and regularly harass innocent homeowners. They make big promises and attractive offers but they really only have their own interests at heart. Do not give them an inch as they will take a mile.
