I was lied to by a sales associate
I was lied to by a sales associate. In 2004 I was called by the sales department and told that the lifetime membership I had paid $1500 for was no longer going to be effective because they had changed to a subscription program instead. I questioned him about this three times and was told the same thing. I was also told that instead of a refund, I got the subscription at a discount since I had purchased the lifetime membership. I was very upset and did not sign up.
After thinking it over I decided that even though it was most unfair, I would get the subscription. I called Logos Bible back. After making sure the subscription would work on my iPad as well as my computer, I signed up for the cheapest subscription.
On Oct 21, 2026 AM I learned my lifetime membership was never invalidated and thus I had been lied to. I immediately called Logos Bible customer service and explained the situation and canceled the unwanted membership. The agent found the call showing that Sales had called me and then I had called back. He refused to refund my money so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I left a message stating that I had been lied to by a sales person and wanted a call back. I repeated my name and number twice. I got no call back.
Two days later, on Friday morning I called again and finally that evening my call was returned. He claimed he could only find a record of my call to them, none from their Sales Department. I found that unbelievable. He, of course, denied me any refund.
So, I was charged more than my original fee for something I never used. They say I got a free book every month. A few seconds check would reveal I never downloaded any book.
If they have lied to me, they are probably lied to others. When I brought it to their attention they gave me conflicting information and never did an investigation.
I would triple check anything a salesman from this company tells you.
