The solicitors helped us through every step of the conveyancing journey with calm patience. At times we felt out of our depth with the legal aspect of moving but everyone was happy to explain all the steps required. A special shout out to Isharani and Uttara for their endless patience.

Quick service (selling my house) but I felt spammed with the number of emails I received. In two days I had 9 separate emails. Great for updates if you have time to read them all but as a busy parent I just found myself putting off looking at them at there were too many. If they could limit themselves to one email update per day, unless there was something the client needed to action, this would be so much better.

I would highly recommend using Lyons Bowe when purchasing a house. Uttara on the Completions team was efficient and helpful, as were our other contacts during each stage of the process. As first time buyers we found the guidance they provided invaluable.

The business model involving splitting the stages of purchase into three works very well and I felt confident that I knew who to contact during each phase. Also bonus points to Lyons Bowe for the app and the little removal lorry that makes its way towards the house as the stages of purchase are completed: nice touch guys.

I have to say that compared to a firm we used last year to purchase a property LB
Have shown to be far superior
When the sale fell through earlier in the year
They were understanding and reassured us that our ‘file’ would be held in office until we had another prospective buyer
Conner has been very helpful answering all questions , guiding us through the process in a friendly approachable manner
We will be using LB to update our Will later on in the year too .

They really seem to want to help at every stage of the process

Do not use this solicitor, this is the second time they have nearly brought down a conveyancing chain. The first chain collapsed due to their inability to respond to e-mails promptly. I haven't used them again for the second sale but others in my chain have and once again we are looking for exchange/completion dates and we are still waiting for Lyons Bowe to respond. Their client is also still waiting for them to get in contact to tell them about the proposed exchange/completion date. To confirm Lyons Bowe have not contacted their client with the suggested dates, not responded to other solicitors in the chain and aren't responding to Estate Agents! Incompetent at best

Absolutely first class in all ways, communication was great all handled within a good time frame

This firm clearly advertises an Exeter office and a team of people to help you. At the time of writing the text on their website is -

"From our base in the historic cathedral city of Exeter, we provide comprehensive legal support for clients throughout Devon. We provide conveyancing services across the West Country property market, from city‑centre apartments to rural homes and coastal properties, and we tailor our conveyancing services accordingly. Our Exeter team is committed to being a proactive presence in the community, offering modern legal solutions in property, family law, Wills and probate while maintaining traditional standards of personal service, for clients across for clients across Exeter, Topsham, Exmouth, Tiverton and Devon." People are also pictured but I assume they are just stock photos that can be obtained anywhere.

This is simply not true. In the words of a member of their own staff -

"While there is an office in Exeter, this is a virtual one which is not manned. As such, while documents can be dropped of there to be sent to us, it is not a location where you can typically go for an appointment."

I didn't discover this until part-way through a very lengthy onboarding process and having a local office was important to me.

False or misleading information advertised on a website isn't a good look for a Law firm, in my opinion.
