HY310 purchase went smoothly

I purchased an HY310 on strength of online reviews, features, and price. I had an early contact from customer support before the unit shipped because I'd made a mistake and had an EU power adapter ordered instead of a US adapter at a US address, so they dropped me a line to make sure that was what I meant to do. Ultimately, their support saved me trouble so kudos for that.

Very happy with the projector so far - everything arrived in good condition, the external packaging was pretty basic but the unit arrived in good condition fairly quickly - there's a good amount of padding in the retail box so it seems like it'd need to take a big hit to take damage. Shipment time was reasonable for free shipping on a fairly low-priced unit.

The projector is surprisingly capable for the money - it's not going to overpower sunlight in a brightly-lit room, but we've used it in daylight hours in less-directly-lit areas of the room and it is adequate for the job. You're obviously not getting the best picture in those conditions, but it's capable of enough brightness to be plenty usable. Picture quality is definitely better in a dark room, though.

I haven't used the built-in apps for much, so I can't comment on those, but USB video playing is working fine with h.264 videos. It's functional as a night light of a sort with the right videos and a shutdown timer, although I do wish they had a slightly longer timer available. HDMI has worked for everything I've thrown at it, screen mirroring has worked on the devices I've tried it on as well.

All in all, very pleased customer, there's minor improvements available but it's a quality item for the cash. I've heard similarly good things about their other models as well and intend to try some of those out too.

Magcubic Projectors are super reliable and excellent budget projectors!

Excellent projectors at an affordable price! I've used the Magcubic HY300, HY320, L018, HY350 Max, HY350 GT, X7 and now the HY450 Max. I've been using these projectors for a long time, and it's held up really well. The brightness and portability are the special features of most of these models which I love. I highly recommend Magcubic!

Scam alert! Do not buy anything from this company!

Scam alert! Please read this before your order! Don't get fooled. Yes it's cheap but so is the customer service. It's actually worthless. Magcubic is a scam. Grqat product - until it's not working. I was sent a broken unit with a tilted projection. The sensor was not leveled and so it was useless. The box it arrived was in a cheap soft envelope with barely no padding to protect is and so the package arrived damaged. I immediately contacted customers service to begin the refund or the replacement of my doa magcubic projector that I ordered form the EU warehouse. Becauer there's barely any information on how to return it you have to contact them. Just to get a respons is difficult and once I did I was offered a "partial refund". Why the hell would I accept a partial refund for a fully broken projector? Thus began weeks of them trying to escape responsibility and blame me for not knowing how to use the keystone or automatic keystone or any other way they could claim I wasn't doing it right. They kept asking for more videos and images. When I finally sent them eveything - they stopped responding. It's been a month now wince I first contacted Magcubic. Imagine being a company so small minded you risk the reputation of your brand for a 150 euros. Whoever is in charge of the customer support needs to be fired immediately. I'm not returning a Ferrari. It's a cheap as projector. The money is not the point. It's the treatment of a customer that paid for a broken unit. I'll tell anyone and everyone and everywhere - Stay away from this brand. It's a complete scam. I'll do eveything now in my power to get back the money while trashing them wherever I can. I have our full conversation to share and images. Scam alert. Do not buy anything from this company.

I bought the hy450 Max from this page…

I bought the hy450 Max from this page and the only problem I've had is that they didn't say anything about the holidays and since February 14th They answered my questions on the 24th Febr and the package arrived on March 3rd.
They need to give more info on the website and more active support—if you ask something now ... they'll answer you at the end of the month . I haven't properly tested the projector yet, but from what I've seen, the quality is good. The only thing it lacks is sound; it's barely noticeable without a soundbar you don't have a good experience watching movies or series... for the rest, for the price and quality it's fine.

Lost my money and my product

They delivered my order to the wrong address. And now I have chased it several times for weeks now!!
They are not replying and ignoring my requests. I have sent video proofs and detailed explanation to them.

My address was correct as well. It was completely their fault and they are not even refunding my money now, and won't dispatch a new order either!???

Completely ignoring me for days and now I have lost my money and my product.

I do not recommend this!! This is total bullshit and they have no regard to their customers.

9th March-
So conveniently you flagged my account spam right after you told me that you would get back to me with an update checking with the logistics.
I emailed you on the 5th March 10:19 AM BST. I don't know what time zone you are on but you have had more than enough time to respond to me.
But that never happened!

And then, I chased you multiple times, on the 6th March at 12:52PM BST, then on the 7th March 7:07PM BST.
You ignored it.

NOW you have only gotten back to me after I disputed the payment via my bank.

So if you want to speak facts, give it to the readers truthfully with the full story.

I still do NOT recommend this at all.
Too much headache for a small product.
It's just not worth it.

They have only responded to me now after I disputed the payment. Otherwise they would still have put my account in their spam folder and ignored it.
That's not customer service.

Save yourself some peace of mind and time and stay away from them.

After just 5 minutes of testing at home, the fan was far too loud for me; it didn't provide a cinematic experience at all, simply annoying. I emailed twice requesting the return address, which they refused to provide. Then I tried using the address on the DHL label. I only received a response after opening a PayPal dispute. After that, they acknowledged receipt of the return but accused me of damaging the projector. They only want to refund 30%. The seller is completely unprofessional.

Regarding the fan noise, all projectors do contain cooling fans, but we understand that noise sensitivity can vary from person to person. If it felt disruptive for your setup, we completely respect that.

Comments are relative to the price point. This is a quality product and does just what I need it to do (mainly mirror and project my laptop screen). On receipt it turned out that the supplied remote wasn't working but raising this with support I had an immediate helpful response and replacement ordered. It took a little while to arrive from China but all now in order.

Customer service is useless

I purchased a HY350GT projector, which arrived several days ago. Now I want to process a return, but it's not possible because, according to the Magcubic website, the projector is still in transit. Therefore, I can't process the return, and I don't have the purchase invoice. I've sent several emails to these three departments (help, marketing, and support) and haven't received any response. So, I still don't have an invoice and can't process the return. I wouldn't recommend them at all; they're very unprofessional, and their customer service is useless. Order number: 10010500

Unfortunately I bought a projector from them. Decided to return unopened after reading bad reviews and the company is making it difficult to return despite, their so called 30 day no reason warranty.

I've needed to resort to recovering costs through my credit card company.

This outfit are amature and dishonest.
