Mappin & Webb is a true British treasure with over 240 years of tradition and historical significance in the world of silver and fine jewellery.
It’s a story that began in 1775, when Jonathan Mappin opened a workshop in Sheffield. His mission was to create the most beautifully crafted silverware for British society.
Over the immediate years that followed, the company expanded internationally with commissions from Monarchs around the world. Synonymous with excellence, craftsmanship and all things truly British, the company was soon granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty Queen Victoria in 1897.
The Company has proudly held a Royal Warrant to each succeeding monarch and currently holds appointments as ‘Jewellers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ to Her Majesty The Queen and ‘Silversmiths’ to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

The promised 1-2 day delivery didn’t happen as I received an email saying that the delivery had been delayed. I knew when I saw that the courier was DPD that this would be the case. I sent an email to Mappin and Web and the item has now been delivered . Anyone expecting a speedy delivery should think teice before ordering.

All staff are commendable but one stands out in my opinion.
If you are looking for a Timepiece , you must see Jamie. They completely redefine luxury customer service. Instead of the stuffy atmosphere you sometimes get in high-end boutiques, Jamie was wonderfully warm, down-to-earth, and approachable. They took the time to chat, understand what I wanted, and share their incredible knowledge. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable. I couldn't be happier with the service or my new purchase !

Chester, shopping for a watch for our son’s 21st. From the minute we walked into the store the service, professionalism and friendliness was just amazing. We had a browse and he tried a few on, no pressure. Just super helpful.
We later returned to buy. We had drinks at the bar while we waited for Jack to finish serving.
Our son said, the whole experience was just amazing and a day that he will never forget, it was made to feel so special.

Bought Seiko for the Mrs
Bought Seiko for the Mrs, partly using a £350 gift voucher that I received after buying a Cartier De Santos a few weeks ago. Very easy to do and great after care , plenty of information given on how and who to contact for bracelet adjustments etc. order arrived next day less than 24hrs of ordering, very impressive. Wish the Rolex’s I’ve been trying to get could arrive like that. The Santos is absolute quality and beautiful. The Seiko presage ‘frozen Daiquiri’ Diamond cocktail time 34mm is a lovely fun watch for the Mrs to wear at the beach, pool etc. She loves it , looks great and great value for money

Order and delvery were excellent.
The item is for my wife so I haven't opened, it will be a little while until it is ! But the price seemed so good I bought it in advance. But the items I have had from M and W before have always been good so fingers crossed the packer put the necklace in the box.

Tarnished bracelet
Sent back a bracelet because it had become tarnished . My wife is highly allergic to many things and as such didn’t use perfumes or have any ‘nasty’ chemicals which could do this. They did send us another bracelet without much fuss but didn’t explain why the original had become tarnished which is frustrating. What if it happens again? I’m querying the actual metals in the bracelet.

I finally bought a chain with ring…
I finally bought a chain with ring pendant on the online shop. There was nothing in the description of the piece about either the length of the chain or the gold weight of the piece. I asked FIVE time for this fairly basic info without the courtesy of a reply. Rather than let the piece go due to poor customer service, I went ahead and bought the chain. It is small and I wouldn’t have bought it if I’d been given the information requested. However, it is a lovely piece and I am not sure I want to return it. Disappointing experience all round ‘though and I am sure you could have done better.
