Features and Items Incorrect on Website/Delivery - No Response

I purchased an item from Marelia a couple weeks ago. It took a bit to get here, but arrived as expected based on the shipping date expectations. My problem was it was either the wrong item or the item is mis-represented on the website. Specifically, I purchased lingerie with "Underwired cups with adjustable spaghetti straps". This was important as bust support is the reason why I purchased the product. When it arrived it was either the wrong product, or the language on the website mis-represents the feature of the product because it was 100% lace, no underwire, and it looked different from the product picture I purchased in numerous other ways. I reached out to them the day I received the item through their contact us link to let them know about the issue and have still not heard back. I reached out again to their contact us link and also followed-up with the email on their website and still not heard back. In my communications with the company I have referenced the exact product I purchased, my expectation misses, and been willing to provide images for them to review, but they are ignoring my messages.

When I am either mis-advertised the features of the product, sent an incorrect product, and ignored through multiple support outreach channels I cannot give you more than a 1-star review.

Thank you for taking the time to write this, and I'm genuinely sorry - on both counts.

First, the item. What you've described isn't what you ordered: if the listing says underwired cups and the piece turned up as unlined lace with no support, that's a real problem, and not something I'd ever want you left with. Bust support was the whole reason you bought it, so expecting the product to match the description is completely fair.

Second, and just as importantly - being left without a reply after reaching out more than once is not okay, and I'm sorry. That genuinely isn't how we work, and it's clear we've let you down in getting back to you.

I'd really like to put this right, whether that's the correct piece sent out or a full refund - whichever you'd prefer. Could you email me directly at contact@marelia.co and mark it for Kat's attention? If you still have the photos you offered to share, send those along and I'll get onto it straight away.

I'm sorry for how this has gone so far, and I'd like the chance to fix it properly for you.

Not worth the price paid

Not worth the price paid. Delivery was quicker than expected but quality extremely poor! Better off buying from SHEIN or Temu

we'd rather have this straight than dressed up, so no canned apology here. If the quality was that far off what you paid, something slipped through that shouldn't have - and fast delivery counts for nothing if what lands isn't up to scratch.

Misleading Website and Bad Customer Service

I ordered a product and was only informed 8 days later that it wasn't in stock, despite having already paid for it and received emails with estimated delivery days, and it still said it was in stock online!
The customer service wasn't very good at addressing the content of my emails and felt like an AI bot, really unhelpful, repeating themselves and not actually answering my questions.
Whilst the product, when it was eventually back in stock and delivered to me, was what I expected, I wouldn't go through the hassle of ordering from here again.

thanks for laying this out - it's useful and I'd rather have it straight. You're right that the stock update reached you far too late; if a piece sells out after you've paid, that should be flagged within a day, not eight, and closing that gap is something we're sorting on our end so it stops catching people out. On the replies feeling like they went round in circles, that's fair and not what we aim for - every email here gets read and answered by us, so if a question went unanswered, that's on us to fix. Nonostante le mie segnalazioni tempestive al servizio clienti, non ho ancora ricevuto alcun riscontro. Spero in una risoluzione immediata della questione, altrimenti sarò costretto a procedere diversamente.

Terrible service. My order from June 16th arrived with a significant delay on June 30th and was missing 3 out of 4 items. Despite my immediate attempts to contact customer service, I have not received a response. I am hoping for an immediate resolution, otherwise, I will have to take further steps to get my money back.

Ha ragione, e mi dispiace sinceramente. Un ordine arrivato in ritardo e per giunta incompleto - con un solo completo su quattro nel pacco - non è l'esperienza che vogliamo offrire, e la sua frustrazione è più che comprensibile.

Voglio sistemare la cosa in modo concreto e senza altri rimpalli: le ho scritto direttamente all'indirizzo email del suo ordine per risolvere subito la questione. Mi scuso per come è andata finora, e sono qui per chiuderla nel modo giusto.

Bonjour,

Je souhaite vous faire part de ma profonde déception concernant ma commande.

J’ai commandé trois articles en taille S pour ma compagne. Or, deux d’entre eux sont extrêmement grands et ne correspondent absolument pas à une taille S. En les comparant à d’autres marques de lingerie, leur coupe se rapproche davantage d’une taille M, voire L. Il ne s’agit donc pas d’un simple problème d’ajustement, mais d’un réel défaut de correspondance des tailles.

Concernant le troisième article, la qualité de fabrication est tout simplement inacceptable. Certaines coutures sont réalisées à l’envers, d’autres sont mal finies, plusieurs détails présents sur les photos de votre site sont absents, et le rendu final est très pauvre. L’article donne une impression de produit bas de gamme, très éloignée des visuels et de la qualité que votre marque met en avant. Pour un article vendu à ce prix, le résultat est particulièrement décevant.

Au vu du tarif pratiqué, je m’attendais à recevoir des produits soignés, conformes à leur présentation et offrant une véritable qualité de finition. À la place, j’ai reçu des articles qui ne sont pas conformes, dont la qualité de fabrication est médiocre et qui ne justifient absolument pas leur prix.

Je dispose de nombreuses photos montrant les défauts de fabrication, les problèmes de taille ainsi que les différences entre les articles reçus et ceux présentés sur votre site. Je peux bien entendu vous les transmettre si nécessaire.

Compte tenu de ces défauts de conformité et de qualité, je demande le remboursement intégral de ma commande. J’espère que vous saurez reconnaître ces manquements et apporter une solution rapide et satisfaisante.

I won’t be ordering again.

The website creates a premium impression, with beautiful photography and UK contact details, including a London correspondence address. Based on this, I believed I was purchasing from a UK-based retailer selling high-quality lingerie.

After ordering, I discovered that the items were being shipped from an international warehouse. Delivery took considerably longer than expected, and I also learned that returns must be sent back to an overseas warehouse at the customer’s expense.

When the products finally arrived, I was extremely disappointed. In my opinion, the quality, finishing and overall feel of the garments did not reflect the premium image presented on the website. One item’s colour differed noticeably from the online photographs, in my opinion, and the products felt far more like inexpensive fast-fashion lingerie.

To be fair, customer service was polite and responsive throughout, and I spent considerable time corresponding with them, providing photographs and detailed feedback. I was ultimately offered a 50% refund to keep the items or a full refund if I returned them internationally at my own cost.

One aspect I found particularly frustrating was reading a number of recent reviews from customers raising concerns very similar to my own and seeing public responses which appeared to offer full refunds without requiring returns. Whilst I appreciate every case may be different, it left me feeling that engaging directly and constructively through customer service had not necessarily resulted in the most favourable outcome.

My frustration is not with customer service, but with the gap between the branding and the products I received. Had I known the items were internationally fulfilled, internationally returned and of this level of quality, I would not have placed the order.

Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Marelia again.
