Amazing help after Argentina dog bite
I was bitten by a dog in Argentina and reached out to MASTA for help.
I was very stressed as I had had a bad time at the local hospital and needed to check elsewhere that I had done the right thing regarding rabies vaccinations
Prior to contacting MASTA, I had contacted the local hospital, the 24 hour line provided by my insurance and the pharmacy I had my most recent vaccinations - they all told me differing things regarding amount of vaccines and dates.
I was initially hesitant about MASTA because the only option was to email, but Beverley replied within the hour requesting more details and reassuring me with facts
Once I’d mention that I was feeling anxious she rang me a talked me through it. She was kind, informative and calm.
Beverley was incredible at explaining everything to me and ensuring I had done the correct steps
It was amazing to be able to speak to somebody that had a good understanding and could go through everything in detail, whilst providing informative reassurance

Knowledgeable staff who checked our records , recorded any medical changes, looked at the risks of where we are travelling told us what we needed and vaccinations we could get from our GP.

MASTA is good in local pharmacy
Contacted MASTA through website and directed to local approved pharmacy. (Twyford , Berks). First booking was a phone call to review destinations and previous vaccination record. Conclusion was that only Tetanus needed. Second booking was at local pharmacy. Pharmacist giving injection was pleasant, knowledgable, timely and efficient

Our appointments are designed to give our nurses the time needed to carefully assess each individual case. This includes reviewing your travel plans, the countries and specific areas you’ll be visiting, potential risk factors, previous vaccination history, and importantly, the patient’s age to ensure any vaccines are appropriate and safe. This is particularly important for babies and young children, as not all vaccines are suitable at every age.
We understand it can feel inconvenient to attend an appointment and then be advised that no vaccines are required. However, we believe it is important not to recommend or provide unnecessary or unsuitable treatments.
