But the money I paid would be taken off my new policy,as I am 80

The website looks very low quality, I initially thought it was a gimmick site as the colours and layout don't look professional. I struggled to login in multiple times on the iphone, had to log on using a laptop and reset passwords.
Then the finance documentation came through from another company at the same time and had that signed whilst still not having viewed the documentation on the masterquote website.
Lots of different documents to click through but really what customers simply want is a portal that shows the price you paid previous years, the price you being asked to pay this year and then simple text showing any material changes or things people shoudl think about setting out again in policies that may have been renewing for years (e.g. all the new gadgets bought which now exceed amount insured).

Thank you for leaving a review, feedback like this is valuable. I'm sorry to hear you had a negative experience with the customer website. I will will ensure that your feedback about the design and functionality is passed to on to the relevant departments.
We do have to provide a significant amount of documentation relating to our policies as we need to ensure customers are fully informed about all the policy features and terms. I do appreciate however that this can make it more difficult to find the key information needed when considering renewal. Again I will make sure this feedback is passed along and hopefully this is a feature we will be able to add in the future.

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. Didn't want to renew so I didn't send the financial agreement back then found they'd taken money. When I spoke to an agent I was told I couldn't cancel until I'd proved id got other home insurance- legal for motor insurance but not household. I was then put on hold and after 2 minutes the call was terminated.
Still awaiting my money back- isn't it called theft?
