From beginning to end we had problems
Took 2 hours to pick up van in Auckland despite being booked months ago
Van had problems from the off
seat behind drivers seat did not fasten so could not use as a dining area and had to use seat belt and cases to hold it up
Roof light leaking
Drawers broken had to use cardboard to keep shut
Hot water pipe burst behind sink so had to use bottled water on last 3 days
The worse part however was when we arrived at first site the dirty water tank was full from previous customer and clean water tank not been filled
NEVER AGAIN WOULD I USE THEM

Easy process well equipped van

Our pick up in Auckland at maui motorhome went smoothly. No delay, great advise. The service went smoothly too with the extra towers and bed covers and linnen too. Thanks to ladies that helped us at the desk. We were two families of 10 persons at that moment for two rentals.

We have now hired Maui twice in Australia and once in NZ -- the latest in NZ in March /April 2025 was disappointing initially. We had three vehicles booked and had to wait nearly 3 hours on the morning of pick up for the returning vehicles to be checked and cleaned. This is an unacceptable delay given that the bookings commenced on that day

the van was very comfortable and amenities were good, the cooking appliances were great and the van was good to drive. the staff at both pickup and drop off were very friendly

Great customer service from beginning to finish.

I think the monetary penalties you put on customers is not fair at all.
I changed my booking and it cost me a lot of money!
People’s circumstances are never predictable
And to penalize us I find is not fair

We had a great trip around the Northland during ten days Both picking up and leave the campervan was easy and afterwards we could take the shuttlebus to the airport.

Everything well organized, motorhome clean as new

We had a problem to the windscreen,since there was a chip on the glass, but Maui helped us to substitute the glass and gave us a discount for the time we lost. Good campervan fully equipped!! We had s great stay

Easy pick up and drop off at Maui office. The camper van was clean, economical and reliable. We were comfortable and happy with our holiday.

Extremely expensive. Clips on doors and draws flew open through out travel constantly. Min 10days Charge at Christmas is an absolute rip off would not do it again. Tires were all but bald, damage on side of vehicle. Was not worth the premium price charged.

Staff at return were lovely.

The staff was so friendly and helpful…especially when we got sidetracked by a canceled ferry. We loved our campers, too!

Disorganised pickup at Auckland with no system to identify who came first- waited 2 hours and could see people who came in after us getting dealt with and when we asked we were told we were next which was a blatant lie as we saw others still getting ahead of us. They could learn alot from their colleagues in Christchurch where we dropped off as were given a number when we arrived to keep the customers in order.
