If I could, this would be -5 stars. I found the company online and first impressions were positive. Unfortunately after trying to discuss the remedial work I was told by the manager/technical person that "I have other things to do" and rushing through the report with me. There was no interest in helping me understand why the remedial work was necessary. I ended up saying to them that I won't be using their service and called the company the letting agency recommended, whom was a breath of fresh air. They, having not even gotten a penny from me yet, spend the time to explain some of the reasons why the problems needed to be rectified and it did not even take long. So please continue your google search and find someone else, the poor service on the phone is likely to also reflect in poor workmanship and if nothing else you could do without the aggravation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very satisfied with the work carried out by MDBS. Complete rewiring and new fuse box. All done around a very lived in building. Very good price and would recommend them and their work.

The actual work was carried out professionally

We needed an EICR quickly so that we could let our house. MDBS responded quickly to our request and although the initial test was not satisfactory they quoted and fixed the problem on time and on the due date. The bill is always more than you want to pay but that was more than made up by the prompt response and excellent service. So it's a thumbs up from us.

Efficient, reliable and friendly service. Worked to a high standard, work was a little more expensive than I hoped but they worked 2 whole days to carry out remedial work after a failed EICR from another electrician so paid for the extra thoroughness. The Electrician Louis, was friendly and a great communicator.

Do not use for EICR.
Contacted these people through internet. Arrived in reasonable time and gave failed certificate with an invoice for 2650 pounds for remedial works.
Work was completed and certificate issued by another contractor for 900 pounds. Still had to pay the initial inspection charge of 300 to MBDS.

Electrical safety inspection on let property, fail certificate returned with a host of C2 observations requiring "urgent" remedial work, quoted to a total of over £1000.

Consulted with other electricians, two of whom looked at the property and said most observations were nonsense. For instance, a whole new consumer unit, quoted for as urgent repair, was not needed at all. "Mechanical protection" requirements and repairs completely made up and quoted for. "Broken pendant" that needed replacement simply hadn't been screwed in properly by a tenant.

Absolute cowboys. Avoid like the plague, certainly for landlord inspections.

We couldn't have been happier with MDBS Electrical. First seeing their van on our road, we looked up reviews before getting in touch ourselves. They removed a wall, re-plastered and redecorated, all in less than 2 weeks, and the finished product was excellent. They colour-matched to our preference and were just really great to communicate with throughout the process - always available to chat and always clear in their responses. We'd definitely work with them again and will be doing so in the near future!
