Delivery date requests are needed
If I order at 3pm on a Thursday and pay for 1-2 day delivery, when do you think I want the mushrooms? Certainly not on Tuesday!!! I have ordered many times from Merit and the mushrooms are always first class and super fresh but this is so stupid. I am away tomorrow and have food in for tonight so what a waste. I will come back but this is so so frustrating. Very nice to get a response from Merit but it’s too easy to pay for a service that can’t be fulfilled - if it’s despatched 2 working days later how can it be delivered in 1-2 working days!

To protect the freshness and quality of our mushrooms, any orders placed after 12pm on Thursday are held until Monday dispatch, as per our delivery information, which can be found at www.meritmushrooms.co.uk/delivery-information. This is done to avoid orders not being delivered until the following week.
Your order came through at 2:47pm, which was sadly just too late to catch the courier’s collection time which is 3pm at the latest.
I hope this explains why your order was dispatched with a slight delay, however, please get in touch if you have any other questions/queries that we can help with.

Very quick delivery
Very quick delivery. I ordered on Wednesday afternoon and they arrived Friday morning. I ordered the Pink Oyster, Coral tooth fungus, Nameko and Maitake. They are really great mushrooms for making plant based meals with as they have their own unique flavour and are very tasty. The mushrooms were very fresh and the quality excellent.

Fantastic mushroom grow kits
The mushroom growing kit was sent as a gift as I have previously sent them before and they have been fantastic. Merit Mushrooms are easy to deal with and even wrapped the grow kit in gift paper! I would highly recommend them for both their grow kits and the fresh & dried mushrooms.

Delivery Days
Lion's Mane mushrooms are incredibly good, but delivery day was mid week-when I'm working during the week I need quick recipes - they need a little more thought than other mushroom varieties. If they could move the date to a Friday I would reconsider restarting the subscription, then I'd have more time to plan.
