Unprofessional customer care

Unfortunately, I must admit that I was very disappointed with the assistance and customer service of this company.

I made an online purchase, which was meant to be a gift. On the day of delivery, I received an email stating that the delivery had failed due to an “incorrect address”. However, the address was correct and, thanks to external video surveillance, we were able to confirm that no delivery attempt was made. Moreover, the courier could have easily contacted us if needed.

Given the situation and considering the value and delicate nature of the item, we contacted customer service and informed them that, due to the failed delivery, we would no longer accept the parcel, as we were not willing to assume responsibility for any potential damage.

The customer service was unprofessional and inappropriate, as they denied us, in a rather dismissive tone, the right to refuse the parcel in order to obtain a refund. According to them, we were required to accept the delivery and then return it within 14 days, assuming full responsibility for any damage, even if it had occurred before the return, which would have resulted in only a partial refund.

Furthermore, they were unable, or unwilling, to provide us with a certified email address (PEC) to formally submit our complaint, which we later found independently.

This unfair handling of the situation was later confirmed by both PayPal customer service and the courier’s support, who recognized our right to refuse the delivery in order to obtain a refund.- Daniela Di Pilla

I would like to report my extremely…

I would like to report my extremely negative experience with Mido Italy customer service.
Following an online order, the delivery was initially marked as “incorrect address”, which turned out to be false, as verified through a video surveillance system: the courier never made any delivery attempt.
After contacting customer service, I was repeatedly told that I was obliged to accept the parcel and then proceed with a return within 14 days, therefore taking full responsibility for any potential damage to the product.
I was also informed that, in case of refusal of the delivery, the shipment would remain in storage with no possibility of a refund, a statement that I consider seriously misleading and incorrect.
I would like to point out that, pursuant to Article 63 of the Italian Consumer Code, the risk of shipment remains with the seller until the goods are physically delivered to the customer.
Subsequently, both PayPal customer service and the courier’s assistance confirmed that my position was correct, recognizing my right to refuse the delivery in the event of a failed service.
I therefore consider the behavior of the customer service unprofessional, not compliant with current regulations, and damaging to the brand’s image.
I trust that the headquarters will review this matter and take appropriate action.

Mido Service sehr gute Erfahrung
Bei meiner Ocean Star war die Lünette nach einem Jahr sehr schwergängig. Nach Kontakt zum Service wurde mir ein Versandkarton zugesendet und ich hatte die Uhr zwei Wochen nach Versand an Mido perfekt repariert zurück.

Stay awai from Mido

bought a Mido Ocean Star 600. I wore it very occasionally, always keeping it in perfect condition with all the necessary precautions. After 1 year, for no reason, the crown, once pulled out to wind the watch, became extremely stiff and turns in jerks. I took it in for service, and the watch was sent to Switzerland where it remained for almost 2 months. When I returned, I found a nice letter from Mido informing me that the watch was working and that no repair had been carried out. Bravo, I knew it was working too, but the crown has problems, as it turned perfectly fine before. I am sure that once the warranty expires, they will find the problem. Terrible brand, and service unworthy of a $1600 Euro watch. Not only will I never buy a Mido again, but I will never buy another Swiss watch. The cost is not worth the service. Buy Citizen, it's better.

wir hatten uns eine teure damenuhr geleistet. Nach ein paar Jahren, kaum getragen, fällt die Krone ab (..) Mido sagt nun, man könne das nicht flicken da Ersatzteile nicht mehr erhältlich sind...
Supermarke..... echt jetzt...

High end affordability

Great value for the money. Bought one new without warranty and love it. Was initially off by +8sec per day but got serviced by a friend and it’s now +1sec a day on average. Extremely scratch resistant for the watch the band has more noticeable wear. Definitely would purchase another.

I bought the titanium ocean star 200c…

I bought the titanium ocean star 200c on line. Its super accurate from my last few tests. Best quality watch I've ever had. The finish is absolutely great. The titanium strap is finished really well as well, micro adjustment is awesome. I've had the watch a few months so bought the orange strap from ebay. Looks good but the orange isnt as dark as Id like. Overall I'm super happy with the watch.

Never get anything from their customer service

Company with very delayed replies, very expensive charges for the smallest adjustments and lack of customer experience. It took me 6 months to get something that was a simple pin for the bracelet. Never got it in the end.

Miserabler Kundendienst

Ich habe eine Ocean 600 Diver zur Reparatur der kaputten Lünette eingeschickt. Nach drei Jahren brachen schon die Leuchtziffern aus. Nach einiger Zeit und fast 100€ Reparaturkosten kam sie zurück. Die Krone war dermassen fest angezogen das sie nicht zu öffnen war. Also wieder zurück. Heute, nach zwei Wochen kam sie wieder an mich. Als ich am selben Tag einkaufen ging mit dieser Uhr, verlor ich sie, weil der Dorn vom Armband nicht hielt. Zum Glück machte mich ein Kunde darauf aufmerksam, sonst wären 1700€ weg gewesen. Nur weil Mido pfuscht.
Bin stocksauer auf die „miserable“ und dennoch teure Reparatur und den Service von Mido.

Slow answers and high prices

Have a missing pin from the bracelet, so I started to ask Mido for one and eventually they had to see the watch so I sent it to them. Unfortunately this process has taken a few months now. It take’s weeks to hear a reply and they keep asking to pay hundreds of euros for defects they say they find. So far still waiting just for a pin…

Bei meiner 1000 CHF Mido Uhr ist ein…

Bei meiner 1000 CHF Mido Uhr ist ein Stift 10mm der Armbandsicherung rausgefallen (sollte ja nicht sein) und ich kann diese somit nicht mehr Tragen ohne Risiko die Uhr zu verlieren.
Ich Lebe in der Algarve Portugal und bat Mido - da in ganz Portugal kein Händler oder Fachstelle vertreten ist - diese Kleinigkeit mir per Brief zuzusenden.
Mido weigert sich und schriebt ich solle zur Vertretung in Barcelona (1200 km) fahren/fliegen und dort den Stift abzuholen/ersetzen!!

eigentlich kein Stern...bezieht sich…

eigentlich kein Stern...bezieht sich auf den Kundenservice zum Thema Armband.
Ein Anruf beim Aftersales ergab, dass auf Lederarmbänder grundsätzlich keine Garantie gegeben wird. Selbst der Händler hat mir bestätigt, dass die Naht am Armband nicht gut gemacht sei.
So verliert man Fans - und Umsatz. Die Marge beim Armband, was circa alle 1,5 Jahre neu gekauft wird, ist sicherlich nicht so schlecht.
Schade, auch wenn ich verstehe, dass es schwierig ist auf ein Lederarmband Garantie zu geben, es kategorisch abzulehnen ist Servicenote 6.

Missglückte Reparatur einer Mido-Commander

2019 eine Commander im Uhrengeschäft für knapp € 1.300,-- gekauft. Nach einem Monat kaputt und auf Garantie repariert. Danach mangels farblicher Kombination wenig getragen. Nun, 4 Jahre später plötzlich der Chronometer kaputt. Mido verlangt für die offenkundig vermurkste Reparatur € 305,--. Das habe ich dort reklamiert. Man sagte mir tel., man wisse jetzt nicht, was man darauf antworten solle. Ich habe sinngemäß geantwortet: wegen dem Renomeé des Unternehmens vielleicht mit Kulanz oder wenigstens einer geringeren Kostenforderung. Man sagte Prüfung zu; man wird sehen. Nie mehr Mido. Lasse mich aber gerne positiv überraschen und berichte auch gerne dann darüber.

Bad watch and no assistance

Brought a watch on a website. Delivery on 5 august. All documentation in good order: warranty, authentication etc. 100 mt water resistant. I go for a shower: massive leak of water in the watch. I write Mido to get it fixed or whatever (8 August). 2 Sept, still no answers. Ah, by the way the whatch costed 1500 euros.

Meine erste Mido Commander Chronometer…

Meine erste Mido Commander Chronometer hatte Staub unter dem Glas. In der Filiale habe ich es nicht gemerkt. Also eingeschickt auf Garantie. Als die Uhr zurück war, trug ich sie eine Zeit lange nicht mehr. Nun stelle ich fest, die Uhr hat schon wieder Dreck auf dem Ziffernblatt.
Eine Uhr für 1330 Euro, die absolut keine Qualitätskontrolle zu haben scheint.

Nun muss ich sie wieder einschicken. Und wieder ist die Uhr nicht an meinem Arm!

Dies war das erste und letzt mal Mido !

Nie wieder MIDO

Musste eine Mido Ocean Star 7 Monate nach Kauf infolge Wassereintritt zur Reparatur beim Verkäufer zeitlounge einsenden.
Aus den avisierten 4 Wochen sind jetzt reichlich 10 Wochen Reparaturzeit geworden. Meine telefonische Nachfrage bei MIDO Deutschland wurde seitens eines Servicemitarbeiters lapidar Beantwortet, dass diese Wartezeiten völlig normal wären. Erst unter Zuhilfenahme eines Anwaltes erhielt ich die Uhr repariert zurück.

Keinerlei Benachrichtigung, noch Bedauern seitens des Verkäufers zeitlounge aus Gotha, noch von Seiten des Herstellers MIDO. Dafür aber jede Menge Unschuldsbekundungen. Premium geht anders, Verkäufer und Hersteller glänzen hier mit miserabler Qualität und unterirdischem Service.
