My first laser engraver

I bought my first laser engraver, and after some research, went for the GA 30W Mopa.
The laser was well packaged, and aftercare was good. Montport were quick to respond to my queries, and I had my laser up and running the same day (a big achievement for a complete newbie).
So far, the laser looks and performs very well. It'll take some time to master, but so far the results have been excellent.

Great all round Laser

I was a little concerned after placing my initial order as I read some unfavourable reviews but my whole experience has been excellent. Decided to upgrade my order to a 60W MOPA; very simple upgrade process and it arrived a few days later. The hardest thing about physically setting the machine up is getting rid of the crate afterwards! I had also read a few things about the software installation and instructions not being correct. Thankfully this was also very straight forward and whatever issues there may hav been seem to be fixed. I had the software installed in about ten minutes. I had to do no calibration on the machine at all other than copy the relevant files into lightburn and my test square engraving came out perfectly. All in all an excellent machine and I am very happy with my purchase.

Monport slow to act

New board turned up really fast but didn't work. Responce from Monport was slow, when then put me InTouch with a Chinese company show asked me to try some stuff. In the end it was faulty and a new board was issued which ain't arrived yet.
Outcome is there slow at responding to emails and there messaging system

My delivery time has been and gone.

My delivery time has been and gone.
No communication from Monport UK, no replies to various emails sent to them.
I wonder what I have got my self into with this company. Customer service so far is zero. What will happen if there is a problem with the machine? Do I just not accept delivery and return the machine if and when it is delivered

Awful service

I placed an order on 5th June, and according to their website, I should have had a tracking number within about 1-2 days, delivery within 3-7. 6 days on and my order is still showing as confirmed. No tracking number and no delivery.

I have sent about 6 emails asking for updates and not had a single reply. When I emailed BEFORE placing an order with queries, I had several responses within a matter of hours, and they was very helpful. I was quite impressed with the customer support. But now they have my money, I have heard nothing.

I finally had a response on day 7 stating that they were sorry for the delay and it was all due to them being so busy. They also advised that the items I had ordered were out of stock, despite showing as in stock on the website. I have now cancelled my orders and hope the refund will dealt with promptly.

Absolutely shocking service. I advise you stay well clear of this company.

UPDATE: I checked the website again today, 1st July, and they are still showing as having stock, despite me being told they had none. In fact, since they cancelled my order, the number of 'available' units has gone back up by one. So despite them saying 'we are sorry that our team has not updated the stock information on our website in a timely manner. We will take steps to correct this issue and improve our stock management to prevent similar situations in the future'...it seems 3 weeks is not long enough.
