They're all as bad as each other? Gem motor assist have proven to me that in some cases that just isn't true. Assistance within 15 minutes. Recovery 15 minutes later. 2nd relay meeting 1st relay within a minute of first relay arriving. Human telephone response from start to finish. Constant calls from HQ checking all was OK. I cannot speak highly enough about the way Gem Motor Assist responded and I would urge anyone out there wondering who to go with to try this company as my experience of others has been absolutely dire by comparison.

Easy to get through to and from then everything went as indicated. Fault diagnosed, then recovered, checked on my welfare. As ever GEM were superb, will never go to another company.

First Class Service
I called GEM when my car refused to start; within a couple of minutes I received a message saying the recovery unit would be with me in 9 minutes along with a map showing live where he was.
He got the car going but said if it stopped it would not restart; he diagnosed the problem which needed garage attention. He followed me to the garage (about a mile away) in case I broke down again which was very reassuring. I was delighted with the service and especially the speed! Also GEM told me I could call them at any time if I had any concerns. This really is a first class service and I always recommend GEM when the opportunity arises.

Consistent good service
I have had to use Gem twice so far this year, once for a broken ignition key and more recently for a puncture. Both times I used the Gem app to get help. I was very pleased with the time it took for assistance to arrive (even though one of them was Bank Holiday Sunday!) Both times they were helpful, patient and efficient.

Absolutely brilliant company
Absolutely brilliant company. No speaking to robots, no lectures about behaving correctly, no 5 minute wait while some monotonous voice and stupid music play. I really couldn't believe it. I rang a number and within a few secs and actual human woman with clear English answered and gave me the information I needed. I was done in about 30 seconds. Took me a few moments to come to my senses after this absolutely mind blowing experience.

I have been with Gem for many years
I have been with Gem for many years , and have just renewed my policy . Thankfully I did as a week later I broke down!! . I found it very easy to put all the information into the app on my phone, and with in 45 minutes the break down truck arrived . So many thanks to John the driver a knight in shining armour , and to John Mennell at Mennell motors for repairing my car at his garage, excellent service thank you 🙏.

The recovery is excellent value for money and covers you as a person so covered in any car you use or travel in. Which recommended too, comes highly recommend.

I called them out when my car had an issue with the brake switch. Someone came out quite quickly to my home but couldn't fix it on the spot so I got towed to a nearby garage. I was offered a lift back also.

A very responsive and efficient breakdown and rescue service. Unfortunately I have had occasion to call upon them a few times in the past three or so years (I have a somewhat unreliable classic car!) and they have never let me down. Highly recommended.

When my car failed to start I phoned…
When my car failed to start I phoned Gem, filled out the forms and was called back quickly. I really liked following the recovery lorry on a map in real time. It took just over an hour to arrive and the driver was so helpful and friendly. I was taken home, about 40 miles, on a low loader. Top work and I can't recommend highly enough.

Found the app very easy to use
Found the app very easy to use and it asked all the relevant questions. Response was swift and the recovery vehicle was there within 20 mins. Driver of vehicle was very pleasant and helpful and particularly concerned to ensure our safety. He dropped us off so we could pick up husband’s car and took my vehicle to the kia garage.
