Hi I ordered 1 x table & 6 chairs, they had to be assembled, the condition was bad, pre drilled holes in chairs did not line up,. dowells were oversized, had to drill myself, file down the dowels, tongue & groove did not fit properly, the online video by their employees, everything fitted like a glove, not mine, communication was poor, Frank.

Mr Teak was easy to order from and it took a few days to arrive. The bench cushion was missing from the order but a simple phone call to Coral and she had it all sorted. The cushion arrived in the post a couple of days later. Lovely company to deal with. Also nice to speak to member of staff when I called and not be having to deal with pressing numbers for whatever department. Good service. 🌟

Beautifully made packed and delivered with care

I ordered my bench for self assembly on 4 May which was delivered on 7 May with no damage. The package contained already pre-assembled units with good mortis and tenon jointing on the ends for quick and solid fitment. I assembled the bench myself in about an hour finishing it with a sturdy and solid result and now stands at the bottom of my garden as a memorial to my late wife. The quality of the bench is superb with in terms of the strength and the natural teak colouring. Everyone who has seen it has said how beautiful it is.

Be nice to be able to actually come across a company that promises customers what they order: like a level bench. If you're in the business of selling benches, you'd expect them to be level, but the one ordered by my wife and costing over £1000 in a three-piece set was not level. It was warped. The other two items were fine and we're happy with them, but the third item is defective. Somehow that became our problem, not Mr Teak's, who have assiduously avoided either 1/offering to replace the bench as they are obliged to do under their terms and conditions, 2/not offered an adequate discount for the trouble and inconvenience caused by sending us a defective item (they offered a pathetic 10 per cent refund on the cost of the defective bench, which wouldn't even cover the cost of a repair) and 3/not replied to my wife despite numerous email messages and phone calls. What kind of cowboy outfit is Mr Teak? One phone call should be enough to deal with the issue. But no. We'll be reporting to Trading Standards this week unless this is immediately rectified. The order number is 18128.

Bench purchased is exactly what we wanted … nice and sturdy, using dowels rather than screws to secure main joints. Item delivered securely by courier, well packaged with all parts and fixings present. Fair price for a quality product.

No cushions with furniture..advised they will be delivered in July…2months later than furniture.
Dismissive combative conversation …told that the cushions were free ..which they were not..they were part of the £850 cost.
The furniture was delivered on a large pallet left blocking our drive and requiring disposal. Very unimpressed and badly handled.

I love it and would recommend Mr Teak if you're looking for new teak garden furniture.

A little disappointed with the finish. Some edges are quite rough and need sanding down and some of the dowels were difficult to fit. The two chairs are slightly different heights.
Instructions were quite clear.

Overall very good bit a few splits and filler on some badly made joints

On opening box potions of the wood were white with dusty mildew which I washed off. Whilst I appreciate it’s a natural wood product some narrow hairline cracks were evident in the arm rest supports. The dowels were too big for the pre drilled holes and whilst I appreciate they need to be an interference fit a few snapped off . I found carefully slightly oversizing the holes to 6.5mm meant they went in tight but did not snap. Once assembled the bench looked superb but I would advise self assemble only if a competent DIY type.
