Worst Telco Experience I’ve Had

Honestly, dealing with mtel has been an absolute nightmare. Customer service is slow, unhelpful, and half the time they don’t even seem to know what’s going on. Bills are confusing, issues take forever to fix, and you’re just left chasing them up again and again. Feels like they couldn’t care less about their customers. Wouldn’t recommend, mate. Everyone’s going to jail when we come to power!

All of this will one day be tomorrow

Worst telecom company I ever use. Mtel is disaster. Internet slow all the time, connection drop, nothing work when you need it. Customer support is useless, they talk like robots and never fix problem. They always blame customer, never their bad network. Prices high for service from stone age. Total waste of money and nerves. Stay away if you can.

Terrible service, but the Republic of Srpska will win

M:tel proudly assures users that everything is under control. Repeatedly. Loudly. Confidently.

Meanwhile, the service struggles, support offers statements instead of solutions, and accountability is treated as an external threat. Problems are acknowledged, explained, and then carefully left unresolved.

If confidence alone could fix telecom issues, this would be a world-class provider.

Mtel is very bad company

Mtel is very bad company. Internet is slow slow, speed like turtle, I wait long time for nothing. Customer support not help, always say “tomorrow”, but tomorrow never come. I not recommend this provider.

The worstest internet only in Banja Luka!!!

This is the most bad company I ever see. Internet is slowest of all, always stop, always break. I call support 100 times, they say "restart router" like that help something. Pay big money for nothing! Mtel is really the worstest internet in all Banjaluka, maybe in all world! Never again, I regret so much!

Mtel was founded in 1996, the same year that NATO bombs fell on the FRY three years later.

Much like that chaos, Mtel’s service is a mess. The network is unreliable with frequent dropped calls and slow speeds. Customer service is awful—long wait times, unhelpful reps, and no real solutions. Billing issues are common, and getting them fixed takes forever. After years of frustration, I’m finally switching to a competitor. Avoid Mtel if you can.

The Connexion that Would Not

I must beg the reader to imagine not a carriage nor a debate but the modern humiliation of a failed internet connexion. I, Goran Dakić, entrusted my evenings to m:tel and was rewarded with frozen actors, recurring disconnections and a remote that preferred moral contemplation to obedience. Customer service, after an atmospheric silence, comforts one with “we will look into it” — a phrase as reassuring as a lullaby for a leaking roof. Bills arrive with uninvited charges; on country roads my mobile signal vanishes as if the world ended at the hedgerow. It is a costly, complacent sort of service that supplies plenty of inconvenience and little remedy. I pay my invoice and write this: mend your ways, m:tel, or prepare to furnish my pen with further complaints.

Terrible service, always problems with connection

I am really disappointed with mtel, Internet is very slow and often goes down. When you call customer support, they don’t help at all, just keep you waiting for a long time. The prices are high for the quality they offer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Terrible experience overall!

Terrible Service

I’ve been a loyal m:tel customer for quite some time, but the service I’ve received lately is just astaghfirullah. It’s like they don’t care at all. I’ve had issues with my internet and billing, and after multiple calls, I’m still stuck with the same problems. They tell me “InshaAllah, it’ll be fixed soon,” but nothing ever changes. It’s honestly disappointing to see such a big company treating customers this way. I’m losing patience, and it’s hard to trust them anymore.

Disastrous Experience

As a solicitor, reliability and efficiency are non-negotiable, both in my professional duties and personal life. Unfortunately, my experience with Mtel has been far from satisfactory. Due to frequent network instability, I missed an important call from a client, an error that could have serious consequences in my line of work. To make matters worse, when I finally found a moment of respite to watch the NFL, my internet connection repeatedly cut out, further adding to my frustration. A service that fails to meet the basic expectations of reliability is simply not acceptable, especially for someone in my profession. Mtel’s inconsistency has left me severely disappointed, and I will be seeking alternatives going forward.

Just bad!

Using them since my first phone because they were only provider available. Still using not because it's good but because other 2 are bad too. They were bad 20 years ago and they are bad today.

Overpriced, Underperforming, and Getting Worse

As a long-time m:tel customer, I can confidently say that this company has gone completely downhill. What used to be a reliable telecom provider has turned into a textbook monopoly case – charging more, delivering less.

📌 Skyrocketing prices with zero improvement – Trion plans jumped from 20 KM to 31 KM, and you still get a pathetic 15/0.7 Mbps connection. Some customers now pay 40 KM for 8 Mbps. In 2025. Let that sink in.

📌 Tariff plans are outdated and uncompetitive – Prepaid and bundle options are stuck in the past. While other carriers innovate, m:tel seems content doing absolutely nothing.

📌 Terrible roaming options – Unlike MTS or A1, who include roaming data in their plans, m:tel refuses to adapt. In an age where you can buy global eSIM data for next to nothing, m:tel acts like it's still 2005.

📌 Suspicious late fees – People who pay their bills on time are still seeing late fees (like 0.62 KM) with no explanation. Even worse, customer support can't clarify where these charges come from.

📌 Customer service is useless and rude – Have a broken remote? Their "solution" is to tell you to go buy a new one yourself. No warranty help, no replacement, no empathy. Just "go buy another."

📌 Laughable ‘discounts’ – Announcing a price cut of 0.01 KM is either a joke or an insult. Either way, it says everything about how much they value their customers.

Bottom line: m:tel has become overpriced, outdated, and tone-deaf. They’re clearly not interested in improving or competing. If you have any other option—take it and run. This company is riding on past reputation and a lack of competition.

I very sorry I choose Mtel in Bosnia…

I very sorry I choose Mtel in Bosnia but service is total disaster, network always drop to no signal when I need call, TV app is from stone age freeze all time, crash without reason, SMS code never come so I stuck on login, and support just say "we look at it" but nothing change, they laugh "we never fix it lol," with no competition they just lazy and you pay for nothing.

Feels like 2005, not 2025

Half the country still doesn’t have 4G, and in some areas you’re stuck with barely working 2G. 5G is just a dream at this point. The network quality is way below acceptable for a major provider – absolutely disappointing.

Terrible Coverage, Sky-High Prices, and Useless Support

I really regret signing up with Mtel in Bosnia. Their so‑called “4G” coverage is a complete joke, and I’m stuck on 2G or have no signal at all on rural roads and highways, so streaming or even checking a map is impossible. Meanwhile, they keep hiking prices—my broadband and TV bundle jumped to 38.60 KM per month this year even though the connection drops daily. Calling customer service is pointless. You report an outage, they promise they’ve fixed it, and nothing ever changes. On one call an agent actually admitted, “it never is fixed lol.” With no real competitor in Republika Srpska, you’re forced to pay top Balkan prices for one of the worst networks around. Between constant dropped calls, painfully slow data speeds, and zero accountability from support, I can only advise avoiding Mtel until they upgrade their network and start taking customers seriously.
