Can not thank Caitlin at MDT Oxford branch enough. We have a 3 year old nervous Rottie. He has a high prey drive, and not well socialised due to numerous operations as a pup, who has never been to kennels. We were really worried how he would be and how he would react during training. Caitlin was amazing with him! she made him feel so comfortable using his body language and gently settle him in to kennel life at his own pace. We have received videos of him not reacting to other dogs after being clicker trained for his reactivity by Caitlin, something we thought would never be possible! Thank you so so much Caitlin and all the staff at Avalon kennels for looking after our boy 🐾

Thank you very much for training my Hef Jess from Harlow Essex. Jess has literally done wonders with Hef. Hef is a different dog now, more organized, she listens (previously it was a problem). She has learned to walk on a leash nicely, she has become calmer and I literally can't I can't believe how much the two weeks I spent training with Jess changed her life for the better and mine too, hehehe.

Morgan is delightful and Ruby was soon having fun with walks and training. Ruby spent 2 weeks there boarding over the middle weekend. Morgan went through her training regime to encourage continuation and consistency. She sentvupdates and videos of Ruby every other day and training notes after we collected Ruby. Recommended.

Morgan at the Southampton branch looked after and helped train my anxious dog. As soon as I had dropped him off I felt comforted that he was in safe hands. Morgan kept me regularly updated with photos and training progress which was reassuring and also answered any of my questions during his 10 day stay. On pick up, Morgan spent lots of time with my beautiful dog and I discussing his anxieties, her training techniques, and teaching me some useful strategies too on a learning walk. This was followed up with a comprehensive email with a handover pack. I was thoroughly impressed with Morgan's patience and knowledge, and will use her in the future to help guide me training my gorgeous hound.

Caitlin worked with my 10 months old Alaskan malamute for 2 weeks, we’re very pleased with the training our dog (Jasper) received! Since he’s back home, he’s been an absolute superstar, vey alert, responsive, patient and calm. The videos were taken during the training session were very informative helping us to understand how to carry out the training in the home environment and outside. Couldn’t fault the trainer as she worked with my dog as he presented and stayed in contact after to help me understand what she had done. My dog hadn’t been in kennels before and didn’t show any reactivity until crossing paths with a dog on the last day. The only thing I discussed with mydogstrainer before sending him there was reactivity and I’m probably in a worse position now and whilst I appreciate you offer the life long support and can have him back in, after travelling as far as I did it’s not something that’s affordable, even if it was affordable I don’t know that I’d take the chance to pay out again and still end up in the same position. My dog can’t be the first dog to not show the behaviours discussed once at the kennels and so I think it would be only fair that the company tell the dogs owners that this is a possibility for a decision to then be made after weighing up the possibilities

What a brilliant little place this is! If you want a more confident pooch I could not recommend this place enough. This place wasn't the answer to all our problems but it has given my dog so much vital infrastructure to be able to continue his training and they looked after him so well. I have a very stubborn 5 year old rescue called Winston. Best dog in the world but he is really reactive towards other dogs. We've been training him for around two years and although he's come a long way, he was still terrible with regards to his aggression towards other dogs, he pulled like a truck and his training started to feel a little saturated. Due to his age we were at about 10% chance this place might actually benefit him but it really has. Winstons handler Morgan was brilliant. Kept me updated on a regular basis and she settled him in really well considering the stress pooch must have been under. He came back so much sharper with his obedience, his separation anxiety was gone, he went from dragging you up the road in a halti to walking beautifully on a collar and he's making better choices with regards to reacting to other dogs. More importantly he just seemed so much happier... Couldn't believe it! Will be sure to keep up the training and we'll be back for round two once this training is concrete🤞

I left my dog with this trainer and returned to find her with a bloody tail and sunburn. When I asked about the tail injury, the trainer gave conflicting explanations, first saying it was scraped on a wall and then claiming it got caught in a fence. The trainer even laughed about it, which I found highly inappropriate and concerning.

Upon arrival, I noticed my dog was panting uncontrollably due to the hot weather. The trainer didn't offer her any water until I insisted, which is quite disturbing for someone who claims to be a professional. No real training was completed; they just gave my dog some cheese and called it a day. My dog still pulled on the lead as if no training had taken place.

Their prices are exorbitant, and they don't offer training outside of a small yard, which is not helpful for dogs that need to learn to behave in real-world situations. They also seem to remove negative reviews to appear more reputable. Despite my complaints, they insisted they did everything correctly and were dismissive and arrogant.
Im really not surprised if they try bite back on this one but again it’s no one’s fault but ours! Doesn’t matter if you offer life time support maybe you do that because your s*** and you know you didn’t do any work with the dogs!! Avoid this place at all costs. I was close to taking legal action against them.

Our dog took a while to settle in the kennel environment and that caused me a little anxiety. The trainer however, quickly built a good relationship with our dog and it was clear she genuinely loved working with her. They knew how to approach her anxiety and didn’t push our dog too far too soon. It made such a difference to have the lovely videos included in the regular updates, giving us the reassurance we needed that she was safe and happy with the trainer.

I wish to thank Morgan at the Southampton branch for a very positive experience with Charlie my English setter. I was very limited for time, but with Morgan’s expertise he is definitely improved. He’s an ex hunting dog with absolutely no idea of how to walk on a lead. Morgan literally turned him around in very little time with the necessary instructions to continue the training, he’s already improving in leaps and bounds. I only wish I could have left him with Morgan for a few days. Great job and many thanks Morgan.

Brilliant care and comms by Morgan in Southampton and the kennel staff. I was fed a plethora of training videos throughout the stay and could see the progress being made daily as well as the state of mind of my dog - his tail was constantly wagging! The handover was great and both my dog and I have learned much in foundational behaviour that we will strive to stick to!

Morgan is so lovely and extremely helpful. The videos and photos were a nice update as our dog, Horus, hadn't been away from home for that long before or stayed at a kennels.
The training was clear and Horus has responded straight away and we have seen an improvement in behaviour even at home (he was in for recall and reactivity).
Horus has a really nice time and when we go away on holiday we will definitely be sending Horus back.
Couldn't recommend Morgan more. The experience has been great.

Morgan is a great trainer and has managed to turn our boisterous gsd into a much more calmer dog, making walks more pleasurable. I would thoroughly recommend it,even though it's hard to leave your dog there. He was well looked after and Morgan was super caring.

Wow. What a difference.

And it’s not just about our Doodle Goose, but us. He seems so much better - or is it us in better control, or is it a little bit of both?

Wasn’t sure what to expect. But think we get it, now.

We have a lovely boy who has adjusted to clicker training. And we have the knowledge and confidence to put the lessons picked up into practice.

Caitlin was absolutely ace. She kept us ‘pup dated’ with videoes and information on what she was doing and how we can take it forward.

She was patient with our questions and provided a great handover pack.

It’s so reassuring to know we can seek further advice - in the knowledge that it works!

Goose may not be fully over his reactivity, but we know we’re dealing with a dog that’s not aggressive and we have the means to give him every chance of success.

Polly-Anne & Jess did a fantastic job training Digby. Not only have I seen a massive improvement, but also gave me brilliant advice on how to carry on the training from home. Couldn't praise them enough.

Morgan had our very anxious, very reactive German shepherd. She quickly bonded with her to make her feel at ease and started training.

She was so far gone that walking her anywhere near another dog was a big no no. After Morgan trained her for two weeks we could walk past other dogs. She is still reactive and I never expected miracles but just being able to walk past other dogs with minor barking is a huge improvement in such a little amount of time.

We will be going back and Morgan is helping use from here.

Hol was my trainer and she did a brilliant job! Nala came back so well behaved but still her playful self it’s safe to say she loved her time here!

Our puppy has spent a week with Amy and has learnt a lot but importantly loved his time. He sat is the boot on the was home looking back. Amy is very generous with her time, keeps you well informed. We will be continuing our training (as well as Lenny) on a weekly basis.
