Paid for parking Harrogate.
It should have been £1.20 per hour.
I wanted to park for 3 hours.
I was charged £4.10
Found out i was charged extra 50p for a continence fee!!!!
What is that ?A rip off that is what that is. Deleted the app won't be using that again

The record speaks for itself, this operating model should be illegal. Like 1000s of others I forgot to go back into the app and stop parking as was charged more than 8x what I should have paid. To make matters worse, it is impossible to contact Ringo; the webform doesn't work and the email bounces back. I am shocked that in 2025 companies are allowed to get away with this.

Went to Worksop station car park (platform2 side) to pick up my daughter. No signage as to whether it is free to drop off/pick up. Only CCTV and RingGo signs. I rang the number - the only shortest option was for "for a few hours". I was only there for 10 mins (mainly reading the RinGo signs). Nobody to ask. Just a simple sign of charges would be so helpful and cost you very little - eg "free for 20 mins" or "not free for drop-off" - whatever - just try and think about your customers a bit more please and communicate. My daughter kindly paid in the end (for 2 hours) in order to avoid the stress of wondering if a nasty fine would arrive in the post.

I parked in scarborough north Yorkshire parking fee £ 6 for 3 hours ok fine found out I wasn't going to get back to car on time so decided to extend time on ringo app great I thought minimum time to extend is 1 hour at a ripp off price of £ 3.80 absolutely rob dogs.

Downloading this app is not safe - the site has been hijacked by scammers. I ended up signed up to three scam firms Glintum.com and Deximu.com and CKWEdge. com - two of which tried to take a £39.99 ongoing subscription from my bank. Luckily the bank spotted them as scammers and blocked. Now I have to wait 6 days for new card & PIN etc. I will not use car parks that use Ring Go and stick with Just Park who I have been with for years and had no issues.

Advertised prices not an option in the app. Scammers.

Finding it difficult to get a refund I am surely due. Ringo seem to have no interest in customer service or compensation.

Would give minus stars if I could - always some glitch or other with the app leading to huge stress for me. Will avoid parking anywhere that uses RingGo!

Terrible app and company. Unfortunately my council has made us apply for visitor parking permits and you have to do through this awful app/company. I don't drive so do not have a car myself, just need visitor permits and there is no way to do this and the customer service is absolutely shocking

The app is hopeless if you change your car. Frustrating and not intuitive. If you park using their phone number they add 30p to provide a receipt. Be careful! Feels like they are just trying to fleece you.

Most frustrating app I’ve ever used

One of the most disgusting website experiences you can encounter. Wasted 3 hours just to get a permit for parking.

Out of all the parking apps I use this is the most useless and infuriating one

App wouldn't download successfully. 24 hours later found 'Smooth-Hub' had enrolled me at c.£40 a month. I had 48 hours to unsubscribe which I have done but will I still be charged? Another person in the same car park at the same time had (independently) exactly the same experience. Chatbot help absolutely useless (of course)!

Very buggy apps and website. Could not login on their website and app. Tried resetting password but still could not login.

Utterly useless! It doubles your parking fee by sending you a message which costs you, an alert that costs you and a email to say your parking has finished that costs you. That wasn’t made clear on the info at any time. We are being forced to use this app to pay for local parking so my tip would be to carry a small bit of cash instead. Have deleted the app after first use. Don’t waste your data downloading it! 1 star as I couldn’t give 0 stars.

It needs to read the reviews including what I have written below. Get your managers who are in charge in sorting out the ability for a customer to get the App register their parking!

I tried to book on line by setting up an account it won’t let me and still won’t let me the car park said pay by card too numerous customers including me tried to pay by card but the machine just cancelled them we wanted to spend up to nine hours in the coastal road car park morcambe but a kind man came to our rescue and payed for our stay he managed to get onto his dingo account then we gave him payment he said you can only have 4 hours or 24 hours not the stay we where looking for we wanted to stay longer not as long as 24 hours or 4 hours neither what a bloody shambles RINGO

A great idea ... but badly executed!
They wanted to charge £1.50 for a £1.10 time slot - shocking!
That's over a third again on top for a fee, a 36.36% charge. Disgustingly greedy!

I actively avoid anywhere that only uses ringo to pay for parking. I was advised my account was deactivated due to non use but had no choice but to use today, or attempt to use. Went round in circles trying to register, deleted my old account, even though it should have no longer existed. Error messages as it still existed, eventually unable to have further verification codes sent. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
