Mr Patel performed my breast reconstruction surgery along with breast reduction on the opposite side. It was the best decision that I made following my breast cancer mastectomy and I am thrilled with the results. He was reassuring and extremely empathetic before, during and after the whole process. I feel incredibly lucky to have been treated by Mr Patel as he has done a fantastic job. I was able to ask him lots of questions prior to my operation and he was honest with me in terms of what he felt that he could offer to produce the best results for me. I was able to make an informed decision on the type of surgery that I could have, and I understood what my recovery process would involve. At my initial consultation, Mr Patel was kind and gave me ample time to discuss my area of concern, which I found quite difficult to talk about. He was patient and empathetic throughout, which put me at ease. I am extremely happy with the results; it would not be an exaggeration to describe the outcome as life-changing, particularly in terms of my confidence and day-to-day quality of life.
Mr Patel has been equally diligent and meticulous with my aftercare. For example, he personally contacted me when I was experiencing post-operative sickness, which I greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Patel, and the greatest testament to my confidence in his care is that I have already recommended a close family member to him.

My experience was enhanced by a polite and friendly manner and excellent explanations of what was wrong and what was being done to correct this. Promptness and efficiency were very good. Uncomfortable surgery was made straightforward and the result was neat micro surgery with a very acceptable scar. My AFX skin tumour was successfully excised.

I can’t recommend Mr. Patel highly enough, from my first visit to him, when I needed extra skin excision following a malignant melanoma on my leg, to today’s follow-up appointment.

He is ultra-skilled!! He thought I would need a skin graft, but, astonishingly, he managed to do everything without necessitating that. The upshot is that the scar is a neat, single straight line instead of a hideous ellipse. A bonus was that he did the whole procedure under sedation, instead of needing a general anaesthetic, so I was awake throughout.

What a kind, professional consultant he is. Praise must also go to the anaesthetist, Dr. Leighton and Mr. Patel’s secretary Katrina, for their kindness and professionalism.
