Thought it was excellent service at Carlisle but one week on I'm wondering if it actually was....
UPDATE - my husband has just pointed out what appears to be damage to the inside of the windscreen in the centre (damage/something on the glass). We are now worried that the windscreen will be compromised as a result of it. Was is damaged when it was being put in???? Must have been because of where it it. Happy to send a picture.
took my BMW X1 to National Windscreens at Carlisle via my insurer, LV. The service I received was excellent. They did a good job at fitting the windscreen and were relatively quick in doing so, and they were great with their communication too. The only issue I've had is with the sticky pads they've used to put my dashcam back on. They held for 6 days only but with the hot weather today, the camera is already dropping off. They need to use pads that resist extreme heat and vibrations. If you have a dashcam, please can I suggest you check with the fitters they are using pads that will keep the camera in place ! If they had with mine they would have received a 5* instead of a 4*. Such a shame.

The windscreen was fitted promptly
The windscreen was fitted promptly, however there was an issue the following day, which the manager arranged a mobile fitter to call 4 days later to rectify. This was done then the same fault occured the following day. The manager ordered a new part and then re-fit 5 days later. Problem now resolved.

Unfortunately we had a mishap on the…
Unfortunately we had a mishap on the road with our buisness use Toyota hilux and it needed a replacement window in the passenger door !
Our insurance put us in touch with yourselves and it was an absolute nightmare experience from start to finish.
1 wrong glass ordered
2 glass was lost at Glasgow
3 Carlisle branch never pickup the phone
4 call centre is pathetic and promise to call back and update customers but Monday ends up being Friday and I’m left with a vehicle off the road !!is it up to me to rent another vehicle to use while national windscreen try’s to get its act together for the 14 days it took for them to do the job ?
Absolute joke will never use or recommend this incompetent company.
5 If it wasn’t for a member of staff from the South Shields branch we would probably be still waiting after a month !
The driver of the hilux is sure it still has broken glass left inside the door which wasn’t cleaned out properly when the new glass was fitted .
